  • My First Time

This is a story of long ago (Sunday), of a PAX who was pushed by his brothers to be better. We set out to do 13.1 miles. We ended with 14 miles. Don Draper set the route. Orange Crush brought snacks for the road. Tobit and Rosetta made it look easy. (Rosetta was doing some Bernie up a hill at mile 12!). Draper also kept the PAX hydrated. We set a goal and achieved it.

    NMM

This was awesome. YHC had never ran more than a 5k before joining the wonderful group of dudes that is F3RVA. Keep pushing. You never know what you might achieve!

  • Why Are We Here?

A Furious Five showed up today in search of Grandmaster Flash and dry piece of cardboard on which to break dance. Unfortunately the search was futile, all that was found was a soggy beat down. The mumblechatter got philosophical quickly this morning. However, the question was quickly answered by the laughter that immediately followed. We all might have different reasons, but for YHC, the camaraderie of the PAX, the humor and positive energy keep YHC coming back to the gloom.

TCLAPs to the New Market crew for coming out and posting in the rain today! Enjoyed it, have a great day gents.

  • Like Tanned Leather

4 fearless stallions awaited the strike of 5:30am. Time hit and we were off. One came in just at time, as such, one PAX went back for the six. Leave no man behind, and leave no man where you found him. According to the flag team at Bettie Weaver, this is how it went down.

    NMM

Really enjoyed it this morning. Thanks gents for keeping twin team alive Strong works today as well. Good to get to the top of the hill. YHC has compassion for the PAX affected by the harrowing nature of the apparent crop dusting that occurred in the gloom.

  • Hypothetically Speaking Of Course

4 stallions met in the waning gloom on Sunday morning. For some reason… 10 miles was planned. Thanks to OC a luxurious Sunday route was in order. He was kind enough to save Twin Team for 6 miles in. Thanks to the PAX for going back to pick up the 6 (YHC). All made the journey safely, and no one stepped into any holes. 13.1 is planned for next week.

    NMM

10 miles running, in the rain might as well be a Sunday stroll in the sunshine with the camaraderie of this PAX. SYITG

  • The Wokest of All Biscuits

After procuring adequate and fully compliant parking, 3 HIM converged on Robinson for the Breakfast Club run. Those some PAX wore pants, the weather was 70 degrees and sunny.

Got in 3+ miles with a scenic route around the ponds to Dogpile. Followed by a direct route back to the biscuit joint that took the PAX past where the giant puddle used to be.

    NMM

TCLAPs to Gomer Pyle and UpChuck for the brisk pace on this one! This was the first time that YHC had ran Breakfast Club from Early Bird, and said establishment was actually open. The biscuit did not disappoint. The “no cash” policy did however. Also, GP may have a future as the next dog whisperer.

  • A Discourse on Meritocracy and Bucket Filling

Two strong stallions braved the chilly (yet somehow 70 sunny) weather to get a pre and post Dogpile run/mosey. Kept the pace good enough to get excellent discussion on medieval systems of governance, books, habits, and what’s popular on YouTube in South Korea.

Early Bird was closed again so, no biscuits for you!

In every interaction, are you filling that person’s bucket? Or are you dipping from it?
