  • Fields of possibilities!

Two HIMs linked up and explored the newest AO at New Kent Middle and High School. This is how it went down…

Plenty of chatter and time to stretch it out at your own pace. Then a slow mosey to the biggest hill east of the Blue Ridge for some 11s.

    11s

    • Merkins
    • Alabama prom dates
    • Burnee back up until we hit 5 reps then switch to sprint back up

    4 corners running style

    At each corner:

    10 Merkins

    10 Mike Tysons

    10 Merkins

    10 Mike Tysons

Run the full perimeter of the court between each corner

    Mosey!!

    Lunge walk around bus ramp

    Mosey!!

    Finished with some calf raises

Good to be back in action. Yukon sent out a text the night before about LocoMotion and I’m glad he did. The weather’s cold and motivation starts to slip, but discipline has to carry us this time of year. Summer bodies are built in the winter.

  • Another sunrise!

The YHC couldn’t sleep, so the texts went out early and Beaver answered the call! YHC showed up a bit ahead of time and knocked out 2 miles before Beaver arrived, then we added another 2.5 miles with the rucks. Caught one of the best sunrises we’ve ever seen. Plenty of mumble chatter about the day boys we’re raising and YHC’s health still not sure what’s going on or if it’s all in his head, but we’ll see!

    Don’t waste the day!

  • She’s on her last leg bud!

Two East End OGs rolled into new territory this morning, finally checking out the New Kent High and Middle School grounds no clue why it took us this long because the possibilities out there are endless. A lot went down on our two mile adventure. We knocked out one of the toughest 11s on the highest point in New Kent, then hit the four corners on a tennis court so huge it might as well have been a football field. By the time we wrapped up the calf raises, we knew we’d be lucky to walk tomorrow. We’re getting the ball rolling and moving our Locomotion workout out here permanently on Fridays from 0530 to 0615. It’s even a little farther east than RVA!

Numbers and Announcements for Thanksgiving beat down at Mary 0700!
Send up a prayer for Beaver’s truck. It’s acting like it’s possessed… or it’s just flat out dying.

  • Back on the rails!!

Fresh off the derailment, YHC is working to get back on track! After a full week of eating from food trucks he definitely felt it this morning. Here’s how we kicked off the day…

    Warmarama

    • Merkins
    • All the wives
    • SSH
    • The YHC got excited this morning and was ready to dive into it!

    Thang

    • Tabata style with Kettlebells: 6 mini rounds of 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off. We made sure to get a run in between each one of the 7 main rounds.
    • Skull crusher
    • Pull through merkin
    • Kettlebell swing
    • Goblet squat
    • Row
    • Curl
    • Overhead press

Numbers, Names and Announcements for new AOs popping up. Still working on our new location at New Kent high school soon hopful

Great chatter as always with Commando! This guy radiates positive energy. Life’s been a little crazy the past couple of weeks trying to juggle everything, but honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way.

    YHC took us!
    Don’t Waste The Day!

  • Bark!

Three HIMs hit the gloom this morning and knocked out just over 3 miles. The mumblechatter was strong the whole way. Beaver’s getting back into the groove and heads into his first day back at work since the baby arrived. Dexter’s touring a new school for his little girl. YHC is grinding at work but grateful to be doing it local. Solid morning of miles and fellowship! Also waking up every dog in the neighborhood!

    Don’t waste the day!

  • Yukon has one big ball!

The YHC rolled in as the wind howled like a full-blown hurricane! Hopped out of the car to catch up with Commando, and what do I spot? The Silver Bullet blazing in! A sight we haven’t seen in a minute! Here’s how it all went down…

    11s with kettlebells

    • Pull through merkins
    • Squats
    • Transportation is around the worlds

Line up on the line call out an exercise and rep! Once done run 200 yards rinse and repeat. We did this for close to 30 minutes and did every kettlebell exercise that I can think of.

Numbers, Names and Prayer Request for speedy recovery for our buddy Broadway! Yukon took us out.

Beaver’s busy with the newborn, Yukon Cornelius is staying active helping the church with media and Trail Life for his boys and Commando’s secretly honing those pickleball skills. Meanwhile YHC is just trying to keep up with the kiddos and all their sports

    Life is good be grateful!!

  • New Baby Daddy!

0530 hit and I threw on some music as I started my ruck, fully expecting it to be a solo mission. Then at 0532 I spotted a familiar truck rolling in. Out of nowhere I heard a whistle behind me. I thought “That’s odd… I’m not even wearing my hoochie daddy shorts today.” I had to turn around and investigate. There he was BEAVER emerging from the darkness. We hit the trail and knocked out about 3.5 miles give or take. Most of the ruck was filled with good chatter about his new little girl him trying to balance the whole gang, family life, and everything that life throws at you. During our little adventure we were being stalked by an owl all morning. Thing was massive it was pretty much the same size as us.

    Don’t Waste The Day!

  • Maybe next time boys!

With IronPaxs wrapped up, I was expecting a big crowd for ultimate frisbee. But when game time came… only three of us showed up. I could see the heartbreak in the other two’s eyes but we had no choice we had to pivot. So here’s how it went down…

    Knocked out a Warmarama

Found the biggest hill in New Kent and went to work with 11s with hand release merkins at the bottom, Mississippi dancers at the top, and Bernie’s on the climb.

    Wall of Jericho

    • One person calls out an exercise and runs around clubhouse while other 2 knocks it out and so on.
    • We hit just about every exercise known to man and then Weird Science tossed in one that could trigger vertigo in just about anyone

    3,6,9

    • 3 Pull Ups
    • 6 Merkins
    • 9 Dips

Finished up with 5 minutes of Mary and 5 minutes of broga!

Numbers, Names and Commando took us out in prayer.

Had a great time with the boys this morning. We were all a little bummed about the frisbee game, but there’s always next week to rally the crew. Weird Science is off to (hopefully) get that hot tub today, Commando’s looking forward to a coffee with his wife and tackling some yard work and YHC’s got a full day of kids sports and wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks again men for letting me lead!

  • Eastend OGs!

Two eastend OGs linked up to kick off October the right way with an OTB. Plenty of chatter during Warmarama, but it tapered off once we started that mosey…..

    The Thang:

    • 11s on the hill
    • Hand release merkins at the top, Ukrainian soldier squats at the bottom?Transportation of a Bernie back up the hill.
    • Pull-up bar work
    • 5 pull ups, 10 squats, 15 merkins. Complete 10 rounds, with a mosey after round 5.
    • Mosey back to the flag to wrap it up.

    Numbers, Names and Announcements

Beaver is gonna have a baby any minute!

    Don’t Waste The Day!

  • Watch out for them cobras!

Three familiar faces got together this morning for a crisp 3-mile ruck and some snake wrangling.

    • Beaver is on baby watch could be any day now, so keep him and his M in your prayers.
    • Commando educated us on the reality of auto insurance once the kids get on the policy.
    • Choo Choo is still coasting through the early, easy stages of parenthood.

Exciting news: we’re working on getting New Kent High School on board for a new AO on Friday mornings. They just wrapped up the new turf on the football field. It’s about 13 minutes past the Lumberyard so not sure how many PAX will make the trip but, we can always send out postcards

    Don’t waste the day!
