Gumbo said, “Flatty it’s time.” Flatline does not wear a watch when working out. Out to the lakes past Maymont, up to lake at Byrd Park, run around, and retrace our route. Back to the flag at 0652. Not sure the distance but were ready for Dogpile. Great mumble chatter and it’s always great to run with F3 OG!
Friday night alert from Slack says VQ Alert! Almost below the belt but message received. Yes, it has been a long while since YHC signed up for the Q but no VQ alert needed. Seasoned Swedish Chef present and accounted for!! With no watch at 0559, YHC said time to mosey but we did circle back to grab Hitch with his “One Headlight” and mosey to Carillon courtyard.
COP- SSH x 20, Jazzercize x 4(fail-YHC called them Suzzane Somers), Ukraine Soldiers x 17, Heels to Heaven x 17, Hand Release Merkins x 10, and Dead Man Hang OYO. Done. Mosey to Ampitheater and Boom……new light bulb shines down on amphitheater!
What goes up, must come down! At each step, reps are the number of steps and the exercise is jump squats. Step 1, 1 jump squat…step 2, 2 jump squats…..all the way to the top. Thank you Rosie, 18 steps. Once at the top, come down with the same number step and perform decline merkins. 18th step, 18 decline merkins…17th step, 17 decline merkins…and so on until PAX was back to the bottom. Mumblechatter was limited!
Time check….no watch….Honeymoon stated 0630. Dang. That took longer than YHC was thinking. Time to mosey with a little jog over to Burpee Lake.
Alternating light poles-2 Burpees, pole 1; 10 LBC, pole 2, switch. Moving around Burpee Lake and meeting at halfway point, PAX and Q finished with a mosey around the lake and 1 audible for 20 LBC’s. Mosey back to Carillon Lawn.
Partner Wheelbarrows or some rendition of you do you across the lawn. Mosey back to the flag with a few minutes of cool down and stretching. Boom. Dogpile finished with approximately 2.5 miles covered.

NMS: YHC does not hide from his affection for Dogpile. My first workout post and many Saturday mornings spent with you fine fellas on this ground!! Yes, I have been slacking with my Q’s as well as posting. Oyster’s comment with VQ was almost a, “What did you say Willis?!?!”moment, but YHC can take the heat. YHC thinks about the many wonderful memories since starting my journey with F3 and friendships that have blessed my life, including Oyster’s.
The Swedish Chef made a quick appearance trying Jazzercise but he quickly exited stage left! EF Hutton and Hardywood…..you missed out but the PAX was lucky in the same regard.
Your friendships mean a tremendous amount to me. Each morning that I post, I rarely have a bad day that follows!!!
God bless each of you and thank you for following my lead this morning. Coffeeteria at Libby=Super 2F!!

Bottoms Up Pizza Friday night, The Craft Clan produced a wonderful grocery list for Breaking Bread. Knowing Flatline was working Saturday, the plan was laid out! After dinner, to the grocery store I went!
Flatline’s M and 2.1 cooked the spaghetti and 2 pans made-Alfredo with broccoli and Marinara Sauce! Thank goodness for bagged Caesar’s salad x 3, 2 bags of cookies, Pepsi 2 Liter and 2L of Sweet Tea.
All packed up and delivery at 1730. Willey provided delivery service and security for M.
Providing for those that are less fortunate is a fantastic lesson for our children. For Flatline and M, our tank is filled. Oyster, thank you for “making” me Q Breaking Bread!

We are men called to action. And yes, that action may be saving someone’s life!!
Tues 10/15 and Wednesday 10/16 Trinity UMC hosted F3 RVA for a CPR class.
Our instructor, Pam Ferguson aka, Fergie, is a RN with Flatline on VCU Health’s Rapid Response Team. She answered the call and came to teach!! Fergie is dedicated teacher and a disciple to CPR!!
Thank you to Gomer Pyle for providing assistance with the location. And I love me some Fergie! Thank you to PAX members for the generous donation to reward Fergie!
Hope you learned something but never have to demonstrate!

The Bridge was first and way colder. Breaking Bread with the family was prepared all afternoon and way warmer. Thank you to Publix for significant prep assistance!!!
Both filled YHC’s tank and provided reflection on the night of Jesus’ birth!
Could I be any more blessed? I don’t think so!
Loud and Proud,

Number-ama, Name-r-ama, COT and Squater took us out!
NMS: 62 miles from driveway to parking lot. YHC was driving west on 60 and saw the sunrise in the rearview which gave time for reflection. First and most importantly, 17 year anniversary of my marriage. YHC has been blessed and been given a gift from God. My M is amazing, supportive, beautiful, dedicated, intelligent, and truly the one I am supposed to be with for as long as God allows my to be on Earth.
During our runs around The Bridge, mumblechatter focused on one day at a time and the fight that we all have sometimes to dig deep and successfully navigate life’s challenges. YHC encouraged three PAX members to avoid looking at weeks and months down the road but, focus on one day at a time and overcoming the challenges that each day brings. Life is overwhelming and can smother you. Given the PAX circumstances, one day at a time is ok for them!
YHC enjoyed the small group and the conversations with each one to learn more about them. 2 Bridge Members were on IR and meeting them was super too. Coffee afterwards was more quite but the camaraderie and sunny morning provided time for reflection. YHC thanked them for letting me lead and spend time with them this morning. YHC left with his tank full and a smile on my face for I am blessed in so many ways!!!!!
Loud and Proud,

With springtime approaching and ballfields showing ample signs of activity, Flatline’s Clan of Bon Air managed to make a salad, buy a few Costco pizzas with tea and lemonaid for the clients at The Daily Planet. Not the most gourmet of meals, but never the less, helping those in need filled our tank!!!
God Bless us for our ability to help those in need!!

YHC took us out!
NMS: Upchuck and Bodos, thank you as always for the fellowship mid run! Yes, movies and music offer great verbage for life. “Only a penitent man will pass.” Sean Connery, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. And, “…faith, hope, and love…” Alan Jackson. Credit where credit is due! For my Friday is off to a great start and I am blessed to run and workout with you men!
Loud and Proud,

Believe it or not, and YHC is ashamed to say, this was my first Breaking Bread Q. And with YHC’s work schedule, I forgot to ask off and my family rose to the challenge and dinner was prepared. 2 pans of lasagne, 1 bowl of salad, lemonade and tea!
For certain, the quickest Q I have ever been a part of. But, maybe the most rewarding!! Our preacher said something Christmas Eve I would like to share…”It is not cheap if you give everything you have.”
Fellas, take of yourselves and your families!
Loud and Proud,
