    Two of us posted for the most recent Punisher. Mosey past the storage shed to open ground for conversational warmup with Imaginary Jump Ropes, IWs, DQs, Helicopters, Suzanne Somers, APDs, and Arm Circles. Relocate to the school wall for Double Check – one guy runs and returns while another completes an exercise – three rounds of three different exercises. Move back to the acorn-free grass for sequence with nine exercise sequence completing 18 reps of one exercise per round and 9 reps of the remaining – work through nine rounds. Mosey back to the start.

  • Speling

    Three posted for the most recent Punisher. Two of us were there for most of the warmup. Our third made it through traffic for the end of circle time. Triple check. Tabata. Lindsay. Two-legged Air Spelling. Circle of Trust.

  • Back again

    Four posted for the most recent Punisher. Warm up in the parking lot. Relocate to a section of wall near the front door of the school for a Dora with Bear Crawl and Lunge as the conveyance and Merkins, WWII Sit Ups, and Squats as the exercises. Mosey to the other side of the school gym for a few Tabata rounds. Follow with a few rounds of Mary and a Jack Webb. Return to the parking lot for the COT.

  • Text messages used to cost $

    Four posted for this week’s Punisher. Gather ever so briefly in the parking lot before moseying halfway around the paved area for start-up Circle of Pain. With a few Burpees mixed in between other exercises, we completed SSHs, IWs, DQs, Helicopters, Ukrainian Soldiers, Carolina Dry Docks, Freddie Mercur(ies), and Seal Claps.

    Relocate a few feet and complete short conveyor through nearby parking spaces, alternating four Merkins and four Squats per space. Finish with a few Burpees. Find a spot on a nearby curb for Lindsays, alternating curb Dips with Reverse Crunches

    Move to the longer arc area of the parking lot for a second conveyor, alternating two count Curtsy Lunges with Wide Grip Merkins. Circle up for 11s with two count Plank Jacks and two count Overhead Air Presses.

    Mosey to the school wall for People’s Chair medley with a few Donkey Kicks mixed in. Hit a shaded grassy spot for a few Ring of Fire rounds and finish with some yoga / stretching. YHC took us out.

    Taking a hint from text streams and posting the backblast within a few days of the workout – guess it is easy enough. Apologies for past backblast transgressions, but can’t promise it won’t happen again!

  • Catching up

    A trio posted for the most recent Punisher. Mosey under the trees adjacent to Laburnum for COP with Side Straddle Hops, Don Quixotes, Imperial Walkers, Dead Man Hang, Helicopters, Shoulder Taps, Freddie Mercuries, and Arm Circles.

    Quick lap around a few trees and begin 8 minute EMOM – that is Even Minute, Odd Minute – with 10 Burpees on the odd minutes and 30 two-count Plank Jacks on the even minutes.

    Another lap then another 8 minute EMOM with 15 Hand-Release Merkins and 25 Squats.

    Another lap then another 8 minute EMOM with Flutter Kicks and LBCs.

    Finish with some stretching and COT.

  • Hot Bods

    A great eight posted for the most recent GridIron session. Meet at the usual spot in the Pouncey Tract Park parking lot, then mosey a short distance across the lot for starting COP – SSHs, IWs, DQs, Helicopters, Carolina Dry Docks, Suzanne Somers(es), Arm Circles, and the like.

    Resume the mosey and grab a spot on the rubber mat at the playground for conventional Super 21. One Merkin followed by one WWII Sit Up. Then two of each. And so on up to 21 with a few breaks with other exercises after 5, 10, 15, and 18.

    Jog to the bars and break into two groups. One guy from each group completes a Pull Up and count, together, to 10 while the remaining guys hold plank on the outskirts. Rotate through each group three times.

    Saunter to the outside, right field edge of the nearby baseball field. Starting at the fence pole inside the right field foul pole, line up and complete three Pole Smokers at each fence post. Around center field, the terrain was all gravel, so we adjusted to completing three Reverse Crunches in the nearby grass at each pole. Stop at the left field foul pole.

    Find another pole along the edge of the left field and complete a few rounds of People’s Chair variations with base, right leg raised, and left leg raised.

    Mosey back to the start for a few minutes of LBCs and finish with some stretching.

    Nice work guys. Most of us made it to the Lauderdale and Broad Starbucks for coffee. Apparently our group missed an opportunity to move an outside umbrella for a female patron and she called us on this. We tried to make amends by moving another umbrella for another female patron. Overall we weren’t good enough. Or maybe we were.

  • Red Carpet

    As I recall, three regulars, one Kotter, and an FNG made it to the first Punisher of May. Several of us came in hot, quickly agreeing to Hot Potato Q. Warmup on the western edge of the AO. Jog to the outdoor classroom for Dips and Step Ups. Continue mosey to the playground and took turns with one guy completing Jerkins while the others complete ab exercises. Suicides sequence on the blacktop. Mosey around the school and find the wall for a final sequence.
