  • Sharing the Love

9 DaVille Faithful showing up on this lovely sunny and 70 (27 and cloudy so close enough) Valentine’s Day for a personal beatdown they requested (they just didn’t know it).

This is how it went down:

YHC made a declaimer that all exercises today will be ones that the PAX requested on FB earlier this week.

As YHC noted at the beginning since today was V-Day it was only fitting to share some love with the PAX. YHC posted on The F3 Mechanicsville FB Messager asking for the PAX to give their 3 favorite types of exercises (and by favorite YHC means the ones that the hardest for you). Here were the answers:

-Running (PAX ran about 1.75 miles)
-Burpees (completed about  50 to 75)
    -Pull Ups (completed 12)
    -Bear Crawls (completed this twice)
    -Donkey Kicks (check)
    -Balls to the wall (check)
-100 SSH (Carpenter couldn’t make it so this became 25)

Other exercises were added to fill in the gaps

Mumble Chatter was centered around LabRat complaining he didn’t bring warm enough gloves and the kettle bell workout tomorrow.

Shout out to Putt-Putt for posting consistently posting twice a week and pushing through this workout.

    Abacus took us out

    Moleskin

Phonics had the original Q this morning but it seem the winter bug got him so a fartsack morning was needed. He posted on  DaVille FB Messenger asking for someone to Q in his place. Since no one spoke up YHC decided it was time to bring back Old Glory.

Old Glory was one of YHC’s first experiences of F3 (Thanks TYA) and since it has been 7 months since it’s been at DaVille it was time for a return.

YHC decided the break up the traditional one mile warmup run since most of the PAX was still recovering from CSCAUP this weekend. The PAX was ok with this.

Mumblechatter  was low today mainly do to the fact that the PAX was focus at the task at hand.

Shout to Abacus for leading the PAX with the most rotations (5.5) and to Atlas for pushing himself to finish.

Stay tune for more Old Glory workouts at DaVille soon

YHC is another year older (and maybe wiser) this past Wednesday and he could think of a better way to celebrate than to Q at the Creek.

The PAX was strong today setting once again a new record of 25 at the The Creek. (Thanks to all PAX Members that did some EHing last night).

Things got started with an extra long COP. YHC turned 32 this past Wednesday and his 2.0 will be 1 on Saturday. With the LBC Challenge in full switch, it was necessary to get in as much as possible. The PAX  reluctantly agreed! To really work that core today, YHC ask that during two of the 5 minutes of LBC’s that the PAX alternate touching knees.

During the “You only get better with age” Emoji was see leaving the PAX for the wood. A lot of speculation on what really happen there. Only emoji would truly know.  Also between exercises the PAX would plank while waiting for the rest of the back. Abacus yelled out “we should be during LBC’s”. Your wish is YHC’s command!! A lot of groans were heard after that.

Welcome to Putt-Putt and Thumper. Glad you could join us today and hope to see you back each week.

Welcome also back to a few PAX members that seems to be hibernating during the colder morning. (Ratio, Suitcase, Grabber, Spare, Psycho, and I-Beam). YHC hold the rest was good and glad you came back to the PAX!!

LabRat had the Q this morning but feel victim to the Punisher chills (The Carpenter got it as well) and ask on the FB chat if anyone could Q. YHC allows other first to speak up but after no takers, a plan was put into place. (Toga felt the chills was a lame excuse)

The PAX showed up to the rain slowing down thinking we maybe able to get by with out being poured on, mother nature has different plans. By the time the beast had begun the heavens had opened up!

Mumble Chatter was mainly about LabRat being a no show, how heavy the rain was getting, and also an update on Emoji M.

The PAX was truly a PAX today. Members would complete their exercises during the beast and immediately turn around a complete with the other PAX members still working. YHC was very excited to see this.

YHC had been waiting a long time to finally Q at DogPile. He has made the decision over a month ago the best time was on Christmas Eve. Also to get fired up for it, test runs were needed. Thus the reason for the theme and 2 other prior Q’s at DVille and The Creek.

The mumble chatter was ongoing mainly because LabRat finally decided to show up to one of these but also YHC feels the PAX was doing whatever they could get him off his game. He appreciates the effort!

Many PAX members showed there disgust (cough Fudd) for doing lunges thus causing them to complete Chestnuts to the wall longer. Oh well they completed them anyways.

BT point out that YHC was great Rudolph leading the PAX with is bright yellow stocking cap.

YHC introduced another new exercise today called Burp-ups. This is a standard Burpee done (typically under monkey bars) where you do the Burpee, then when you jump you grab the monkey bar and go straight into a pull up. YHC will definitely be using this again.

Great job McFalcon Crest! Only second time out and hit the ground running this morning. Hope to see you back soon.

Great fun was had by all on this gloomy Christmas Eve Eve. YHC showed up a little later than normal to find the parking lot empty (5:25). But all of sudden a wave of cars came rushing in and things got started.

During COP, YHC introduced a new exercise LBFC (Little Baby Flutter Crunch). On your 6, feet do flutter kick while upper body does crunch, only counting the crunches. This may make an appearance during part 3.

The mumble chatter was at a all time low during Vixen’s game. YHC feel this was due to the focus level of the PAX and the fact that no Rat could be found.

Cupid’s Loves Bear Crawls (aka Bear Crawl Snake) was not well greeted by the PAX. YHC feels some member should have been at The Shining the day before to understand what Love is all about.

During COT a falling object (maybe an acron) feel into Emoji’s eye. He seems to be ok but Wild Thing came over to comfort him just in case

Showing up early the flag was planted and a return to warmth of the clown car was needed. The rest of the PAX waited in their’s  as well until YHC got out for good.

YHC explain to the PAX that this was only part 1 of a three part series. Leaving them in suspense of what is to come.

It was asked “Who can name all of Santa’s reindeer?”, Opus spoke up in song and answered correct. The PAX was impressed with his vocal skills.

Chatter was to a minimum except for Abacus who made it very clear he was not a fan of Santa’s reindeer.

Great showing at the Creek today with most PAX members staying in their fart sacks or being on the road today.

With today being Black Friday, YHC felt was only fitting to share with the PAX they specials they would be able to find today (these are actual specials at the retail stores for anyone that is interested).

The final count on the Merkins should be around 300 to 305.

The Carpenter made a comment it seems that it was smelling like we are still in our fart sacks. No worries it was just some near by septic tanks giving a wonderful aroma in the air.

At about the halfway point the PAX ask if the Karate Kid could come back. HeHe not allowed.

Welcome back to Tea Party! Glad that you were able to make it.

YHC shared at the end how thankful he is for F3. This has truly be a major impact in his life. Thanks to The Carpenter and Abacus for their special F3 work out during Restoration’s Men Retreat back in May. You guys are inspiration to YHC, you have help this once Sad Clown become a leader.

Thanks also goes out to Emoji, Opus, Lab Rat, and Circle K. YHC has love getting to know you guys in a deeper level. Really has put that 2nd F to work.

YHC, The Carpenter and Abacus have been talking for weeks about including a F3 workout at our church’s annual student fall retreat. With Psycho being a member of the student leadership team, the plan was most definitely happening.

On Friday night  Psycho request the present of the YHC on stage and to make the announcement about the workout. It was made clear that this was open to all FNG’s (Guys and Gals) and all ages.

YHC was up earlier (mainly because his students didn’t get to sleep till 4am) to complete some Merkins and plant the flag. The rest of the students and adults made there way onto the basketball court to meet at 5:45 am.

The Carpenter was mostly blind due to not putting in his contacts. He later would regret that decision.

Abacus helping out one of the FNG’s hand them some gloves to keep warm. In true Abacus fashion he only had 2 right hand gloves. That will go perfect with his two right shoes from The Creek a couple of weeks ago

YHC took extra steps to ensure that every person understood the name and how to perform each exercise. Many were impressed with YHC’s ability to lead exercises while going around the shovel flag during the warm up.

YHC wisely decided to avoid Alabama Prom Dates in light of the make-up of the PAX.

Wanchees (FNG) made sure to let The Carpenter know that she was going to keep up with him while running through the fields in between the WWII sit-ups. She kept up an impressive pace and exchanged many high fives while running back & forth in the gloom.

Psycho’s family was well-represented with Twinkle Toes (FNG) and Snake (FNG) posting though Snake disappeared part-way through the workout.

Ruble (FNG) and Flu Shot (FNG) left before the namerama in order to shower, put on make-up and get ready for the day. That is not something that normally happens…

There were multiple casualties during Catch Me If You Can. One FNG wiped out and cut his hand. The Carpenter stepped into a hole with his right foot, twisted it, rolled on the ground and got up but could not catch the speedy Spit.

Many of the FNGs did not anticipate the level of effort required to complete a full workout. Most of them stayed to the end and experienced the benefits of completing a full workout.

One student shared that he woke up to go to the bathroom and he then saw a bunch of people doing jumping jacks in the field. He didn’t believe what he was seeing at first but then he remembered who was out there.

Upon returning home, one FNG was asked, “What was your favorite part of the retreat?” Her response was, “The F3 workout!”

    YHC took us out

    Moleskin

YHC showed up very early to find the parking lot 1/4 full with people waiting to vote. This excited him even more for this election day theme.

The PAX showed up in the appropriate attire coinciding the almost freezer temperature except for Abacus. He posted still in shorts and T-shirt, Hardywood would be proud.

Mosey to the basketball with a brief “Good Morning” was had with the election volunteers then work was to be done to get the 270 votes need to win the election. COP included 270 reps for all exercises.

Another short mosey to the soccer field to start another election. The PAX traveled the country to the battle ground states to collect another 250 electoral votes need. But wait! We are 20 short of the 270?!? Well a special trip to Michigan for the last 20 will be needed then! The PAX reluctantly agreed to disagree.

While completing the Four Corners the YHC saw this figure in the gloom. Toga decided to make an appearance. Welcome Toga! Glad you could make it!

Abacus asked if the Burpees could be used for the Merkins challenge (he after all is trying for 10K). YHC agreed they would count as long as “true” Merkins were completed during the Burpee.

Chatter was strong throughout except for when the Donkey decided to show up for this election. Better watch out for that Donkey!

During repeat to the flag the YHC explained that no matter if we are Donkey, Elephant, or whatever, we are one nation and the flag symbolizes that. My we never forget this!

Welcome to the newest DVille PAX member Gecko!

Also welcome to EF Hutton for making the trip to the north side for the 2nd time this week!

After COT some PAX members went right to vote but coffee was had with Abacus, Opus, Emoji, and THE Carpenter.

Those keeping count for the Merkins Challenge. 165 Merkins, 185 if you include your Burpees

It was honor for the YHC to lead this PAX. Thanks to all for your support throughout!!

    SPIT ON THAT!!
