12 warriors gathered in the gloom for a Friday Bro Code run, the Q lacked the appreciation of “Bro Code” and suggested a longer route with a shorter turn option. After the mutiny cooled down the Pax took off for a beautiful cool March morning run. Along the path the Q decided the Pax had spoken and we altered the route for the less aggressive pace and finished with a @4.5 mile run for the group with a few hitting 4.88 miles. Great turn out for our Friday and talk of starting F3 lunch gathering each month for more opportunities to fellowship. West end location chime in if you would like to be part. Q closed in prayer. Remember to lift up in prayer Lighthouses’ family in the Ukraine as they are dealing with war and dangerous situations.

So Warm in February
AS we gathered in the 67 degree morning and said this is so nice, we failed to remember the sweet that comes from running in the humidity! 5 miles later we were reminded of the bi-product of warm weather. 7 gathered for a run that covered many dark streets and turns that separated the pax eventually but all ended back up at the flag. Gomer and Transport continue to work on ailing body part and walked their own path but got out in the gloom to be part! Showing up is part of our mission and we appreciate them for being part of our group. Pinto closed in prayer.

Continued on to Target as no Christmas shopping should miss target. Another Triple check, Squats and reverse crunches while pacer runs, mosey to Best Buy for our electronic toys. Circle up 10 merkins, 10 WW2s, 10 Side Straddle Hops and time to get rolling back to flag. A quick game of Frogger across Broad Street for a surprisingly busy morning at 6 am, all survived. 3 different levels of risk tolerance displayed as the group crossed in 3 different groups. Mosey back to flag and wrapped up right on time. 3.4 miles covered this morning. Closed in prayer and thankful for another day to head out into the world!

The next level of challenge and rolling out the red carpet
6 “Almost” Olympic runners gathered to put in the work on a beautiful August morning. Some of the faithful Curahee were scattered but 3 from the south came to blaze the trail with us today. We rolled out the Red carpet and tried to keep a good pace so they would feel like the drive was worth it. We covered 5.25 miles in 42 mins with a sub 8:25/mile pace. Some hills and nice scenery made the distance go by quickly. There was much mumble chatter about “Whats Next” on the challenge block and a half Iron Man (after the Richmond marathon) seemed to be the favorite idea. Don Draper pushed to limit the swim with an Olympic Iron Man first. Rosetta seems to be taking the lead on the half Iron Man so reach out if that appeals. Our southside brothers continued for another 2 miles after we reached the flag. Pinto closed us in prayer and we headed out to enjoy the beautiful morning!

What does the Fox say?
When two or more are gathered the show goes on. Two lone warriors headed off as the sun started to break into the sky on a beautiful morning for a workout.

Right turn and roll west on Church Rd, 1 mile and
25 Merkins, 25 LBCs, 25 – 3 count Side straddle hops
Right turn and roll North on Glen Gary Rd, saw what appeared to be a fox come onto road ahead and took one look at Homer charging down at him and made its way back to cover, hard to tell what it said on its way into the trees. 1 mile and
25 Merkins, 25 LBCs, 25 – 3 count Side straddle hops
Right turn and roll east on Three Chopt, north up Pump a bit to Park cut through and back to flag at Pocahontas Rd, 1.17 miles and
25 Merkins, 25 LBCs, 25 – 3 count Side straddle hops
Thats a wrap: 4.17 miles covered at a nice pace and worked some muscles along the way. Pinto closed in prayer.

Shot or Not
Two faithful showed on a beautiful spring morning to put in the work.
Clock struck 5:30 and we were off, mosey to a familiar neighborhood by way of West broad village lake path for a Cul-de-sac workout/run.
First Cul-De-Sac 20 Merkin, Next 20 WWII, Next 10 Burpees, Next 20 reverse crunches. Repeato : completed 3 sets of these including a route back around the lake and back to the flag. 3 loops around the bus loop and a final burst of old man speed to the end of lots and back to flag. 4.43 miles completed and strong workout complete.
Mumble chatter contemplated the methods and ways of vaccine distribution, spread of virus and questions of Big Brother conspiracy.
QIC took us out. Two or more gathered in his name….
