Two runners and three ruckers, beat the fart sack on a comfortable Davillian morning. After the ruckers rucked and the runners ran, No Idea took us out. Nothing needs to be added about the two consenting adults planning their assignation.

Raider Return
Four men, two starting at 5:00 and two starting at 5:30 hit the roads for a combination of rucking, walking, and just a touch of running for YHC. 5:30 starters covered 2-2.5 miles through Giles. After numbers and names, No Idea took us out.
It was great to get out there on a Tuesday morning for I think only the second time this year to catch up with Corned Beef. It’s always good to see Yardsale as well. It was even better that No Idea could get back out to join us after life had thrown a few curveballs his way.

Raider Run Return
YHC returned to his usual Raider Run terrain for his first weekday post in a couple months. While YHC and Spit ran for 3.5-4ish miles, Corned Beef rucked for about two miles. It was good to get back out there. Numbers, names, and Spit took us out.

Light Duty
With most of the Davillians seemingly injured, sick themselves, or with sick family members, the PAX did some running, which is purportedly better than no running. As YHC was pondering whether to get his sore back out the car for what appeared to be a solo run, Spit came in a few minutes late expecting to do a brief, light effort as he returns to health. The brief, light effort, just over three miles, was perfect for both, and there was plenty of pleasant mumblechatter about Disney despite our ailments.

I Don’t Measure Distance. I Let the Other Guys Do That.
YHC and the Davillian Pax welcomed one of our own back from a Brazilian Taylor Swift experience with style–a Taylor Swift fartlek. Was the Pax ready for it, just tolerate it, or did the music selection create bad blood? Whichever way, YHC can shake it off. If you want to exile me from the Q spot for being the anti-hero here, you need to calm down.
The running Pax covered about 4.5 miles, picking up the pace from the beginning of the songs until the first chorus. As for the ruck, Yardsale needs some help measuring. After numbers and names, Yardsale took us out. Is it over now?

Off Track
3 Davillians ran through the dark streets of Honey Meadows, Kings Charter, and Taylor Farms for about 4.5 miles. That poor gravel track must be getting lonely after two weeks without us. Don’t worry, we’ll be back soon. After numbers and names, Opus took us out, specifically mentioning praying about The Carpenter’s job search.
YHC is planning to decamp to Spider Run on Tuesday, 11/21 to run what will surely be a much slower 10k than recent Monument 10k efforts. Unless someone else steps up to lead a run or ruck, feel free to join me in pushing ourselves in something approximating a race effort. While unpleasant in the moment, in moderation it’s good for a training stimulus and to develop mental toughness. Years ago, I remember pushing myself for the first time to even run the entire 10k distance without stopping and drawing on inspiration from reaching that goal in other parts of my life that had been somewhat off track.

We Vote For Breakfast
Runners and ruckers elected to start their day the best way on a warm November morning. Running pax members were presented with a series of ballot measures to set the route. On Ballot Measure #1, voter turnout was low, but runners voting unanimously voted for “Not the Track” over “The Flat Route.” It appears logical deduction is possible at 5:00 in the morning. The balloting for appropriately named Ballot Measure #2 was somewhat more controversial. It seems some Pax members were unaware that due to quirks of the electoral college some votes counted more than others, leading to the long hill loop as opposed to the short hill loop. Thems the breaks. After 4-4.5 miles at varying paces, the runners and ruckers circled up and Opus efficiently took us out to allow us to meet Mustang and reconvene at Rise and Shine for some enjoyable 2nd F time.
The only announcement besides the impending breakfast was YHC’s proposal that runners, and potentially ruckers, who want to post on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving post at Spider Run for the annual 10k to participate in that tradition. Perhaps this time YHC will find the parking lot before launch time.

Solo Again
Two ruckers started the day the right way. YHC hit the wet pavement and surprisingly dry gravel track for his second consecutive solo Raider Run. Despite on-and-off drizzle, the weather was not bad with pretty much ideal running conditions. Sorry you all missed it.

Rucking>Running
The Davillians voted with their feet or inability to escape the fart sack that rucking is better than running. 3 ruckers spent 1.25 hours traversing Honey Meadows. YHC ran a loop around Taylor Farms then hit the track for a straight 20-minute tempo to fully embrace the suck for a total of 4.75 miles. Numbers, names, and Corned Beef took us out.

Can’t Go Bowling
7 gents who are just as eligible for a bowl game as the undefeated Dukes rucked or ran on a dark and cool October morning. Ruckers started at 5:00, looping back at 5:30 for a late arrival. The 3 runners took to the track for another tempo effort, which, according to Opus, did not suck but instead really sucked. There was some discussion about rucking a 10k at 5:00 on a Saturday before Dapile and a possible lunch club upcoming. Numbers, names, and Opus took us out.
