  • What drives you?

YHC has had a long work/travel week, but was pleased to be reminded of the Q responsibility at Satan’s Hill. While today’s workout was prep for New Years Day convergence, I started to ponder on what drives us to be better. It is different for all of us. We definately push/pull people along our journey. But what really drives you? No real point other than to really think during these crazy times of what really drives you…………in every aspect of your life. Who/what will you push away? Who/what will you pull in? How can you positively affect someone who pulls you in?

Oh – we worked out. Had to post to know and show up for New Years Day convergence to know what we are doing!

And check out what drives the ibex goat to climb a verticle dam……CRAZY!

  • Who is your favorite Pokemon?

Great walk today. 3.5 miles accomplished. Great conversations during the walk and even richer conversations during coffee.

  • Runners ran – Walkers kept up with Murphy!

Two runners and three walkers and one pup embraced the 29 degree morning. Boberry & OC decided to get in 10-12 miles +/- a few. Walkers gor in ~3.5.

Some great engaged debate during the walk :)! Show up – youd enjoy it!

As always the coffee was hot and good conversation!

  • Thanksgiving feast was extended…..a bit!

Three men cracked the covers and posted at Satan’s Hill for what was sure to rival the Forest Hill loops for amount of running (yeah right! Wilson Q)!

COP, Cul De Sack tour (backwards) some block/rock work and finish with Mary. Thats how it went down. YHC got the appoval from one of NM resident marathoners that the distance covered was acceptable.

All three men decided to share what the had during their festivities in Thanksgiving. Oddly no words were spoken……..hmmmmm.

Finished up with a quick conversation and an abrupt – “I gotta poop!” Hope everything came out like it should!

YHC took us out.on the run!

  • NM Turkey Day Walk

While NM is truly bummed we did not attend this years TYA education series at 45 minutes of Mary, we chose to stay close to home in low numbers and still get some exercise before eating the abundance of goodness the early New England settlers brought!

4.85 miles were tracked! And of course some great conversations!

  • Is it tapering season?

4 studs graced the brisk cool morning for a cool down walk. Oddly no runners have been showing up. Must be tapering…………….

We decided to go a different way and saw some cool houses.

Prayers to Aisle 5, who is a consistent walker to heal up as we missed him out there!

Coffee and conversations were the highlight of the morning as usual.

  • DK was absolutely correct! Can’t remember anything! Just send it pt2!

YHC picked up the Q on the fly yesterday and had nothing planned. Half wa through DK said I can’t wait to see the BB. You gonna remember all this? THe answer – NOPE.

Did COP, parking lot tracers, triple check, large parking lot tracers (with exercises), Bob & weave and a few minutes of mary.

TYA is doing his Turkey Day education session one week from today – dont miss it. NM won’t! Friday some runners are going in circles. Don’t recall all details as YHC typically shuts down during that announcement.

    YHC took us out.

  • Nancy Lopez’s Cheese Touch Epiphany

No runners showed up at OTB. On a runners note, congrats to the runners of New Market for completing the half & full marathons on Friday 13th.

We covered a bunch of topics on the walk, but the best conversation came after Nancy Lopez spilled his Vente chocolate drink (with a bunch of directions – light foam, non dary almond milk……………..and a bunch of othe Starbucks terms). Nancy was sharing a story about the Cheese Touch tradition his family did when kids were younger (yes – we paused to explain to Aisle 5 what Diary of a Wimpy Kid was) and how a random dude at grocery heard them and apparently started chasing Jake around store. While the story was entertaining, the best part was when Nancy paused and got the epiphany that “In hind sight, that probably wasn’t a good thing.” The pause and reflection in his facial expression was a classic and will live forever. Very funny and we wish more PAX could have experienced.

  • Hot Potato at SOT

Gumbo started us off in Gumbo fashion with COP and triple check, then Wedding singer made us curb crawl and ANOTHER triple check, then Nancy took us to the track to do a FULL ring of fire (had to be there – almost seemed like Vinny returned for a hot minute), then with minutes to spare (10) passed to Wilson. Now, I realize the pass was to avoid writing the backblast. I get it. Nancy still has one to write from a few weeks back. It is a PAX responsibility to get the information out AND #BIGDATA (just saying). So – YHC brought out some SPRINTS. Yup, no ground and pound, actual running. Back to the flag for some Mary.

YHC tooks us out. Keep Boberry’s family and Tobit’s family in your prayers. Keep our nation in your prayes as we have an undecided election. Similar to 2000 (for those alive).

Announcements: TYA is still trying to convince the PAX that Massachusetts help the first Thanksgiving, so he is the Q at Mary for his annual argument. It is ALSO Gumbo’s birthday! Rosetta said something about a 5k on Thnksgiving Blah, Blah, Blah…………… Wedding Singer anticipates the Earth Day 5K free t-shirt for $10 will hopefully return. The old fellas are laughing right now.

  • Walking is the new running!

Three walkers showed up and on potential runner, but the walkers convince the runner to take a rest day. he is better for it…………..we hope! Had some great conversation and coffee.after.
