  • Pre-Blast: Who Q? (Next Puppy Pile)

Pre-Blast: Who Q? (Next Puppy Pile)

    “But he’ll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words,…
…Be in their flowing cups freshly remembered.
This story shall the good man teach his son,…”
      — Shakespeare, Henry V
July needs a Puppy Pile, and Puppy Pile needs a Q.  Teach your son (or daughter, or sons, or daughters, or sons and daughters…).
I’ll be out of town for a couple of weeks.  Need a H.I.M. to step up.  Who shall pick up the Gauntlet and lead?  (He’ll also need to pick a date and talk it up at workouts and to the up-coming Q’s).  Easy-peasy.
  • Pre-Blast: July 4th Convergence at Tredegar

Pre-Blast: July 4th Convergence at Tredegar

    Pax,

There will be a 60 minute July 4th convergence at Tredegar/Brown’s Island/Belle Isle on Wednesday, July 4th at 7am.  It will be very similar to the Memorial Day beatdown, but there are a lot of untapped resources around that AO where we can try new things out.  YHC will start us off and then it will be Hot Potato, so think of something different to do from Memorial Day if you get called upon.  This also gives those Pax members that could not make the Memorial Day beatdown a chance to post at this great AO.  This will be the only F3RVA workout that day except for the regularly scheduled Roller Coaster run that evening at 5:30pm.

****UPDATE**** There will be a Hardywood/Kubota sponsored Coffeteria/Breakfast immediately following****

Charlottesville and Hampton Roads, please come join us!

If you are in town, come on out and let’s have some fun by the river!

    • COT with YHC taking us out

It was a morning to shake off the killer B’s – BBQ, bourbon and baked goods.  For many in the PAX, this was an initial introduction to F3, and YHC made sure to point out that no one is safe from the summer of burpees.  17-Year-Plan shook off the effects of shoulder surgery to put in a strong showing, and Ferret Esquire, an accomplished Iron Man triathlete, kept a strong pace.  Apparently this workout was not enough for him as he went running in the afternoon.  The PAX in Charlottesville needs to put the headlock on Panama and get him out there regularly.  Many of the early morning beach goers were perplexed with the activities of the PAX, and jumping in the pool or ocean post-workout was definitely a welcomed reward after the workout.  The PAX more than earned their post workout high calorie breakfast.

Strong effort from all of the PAX today as we kept a good pace in spite of the hot sun.

God is good all the time!

  • Pre-Blast – HDHH Wed June 13th

    Pre-Blast – HDHH Wed June 13th

YHC is acting as proxy for Mr. Roper, who still – for reasons unknown – has not deciphered how to gain access to create a post on F3RVA.org…

All – come join us on Wednesday at 6:00 to partake in fermented barley, hops, and yeast and send off some of our F3 brothers to new lands where YHC is certain they will spread the blessing of F3 to everyone they run into. We will be celebrating the impact of Flashdance and Fudd (if he is available) on the F3RVA group, and reminiscing over frothy mugs of brew!
