Goyne Park

  • Back to Broadway

For HIMs covered more than 2 miles along the Broadway line with a few arduous pit stops.

  • Let’s get the band back together

4 Bermuda Hermanos made it out for the first 2026 edition of The Bermuda Triangle. Due to a series of different reasons, the Bermuda Triangle was in hibernation in December, but these PAX were ready to go.

We started with a mosey lap to the lower parking lot and back for the standard warmarama.

The COP was a modification of a workout YHC stole from Meatball. This was done in a 4 corners style. All exercises were repeated in each corner with different traveling exercise between corners.

    50 Runners Poses single count

40 Runners Poses/40 Oblique LBCs (20 each side)

    30 RPs/30 Oblique LBCs/30 Alabama Prom Dates

Had to skip 20 for time

    10 Double Clutch Squat jumps/V Ups/Alabama Prom Dates single leg/Plank Jacks/Merkins

Great to be back out at Goyne Park with some of my Bermuda Bros. We all had a lot to pray for.

  • Trespassers in the Gloom

There were 2 Bermuda Boys, on a cold and wet, 70 and sunny morning at Goyne Park. Doolittle and YHC were making our way to the pavilion when the CCPD car was pulling up.

The officer got out and announced, “The park is closed until dawn.” as she made her way to the pavilion. She was obviously checking to see what we were doing at a park picnic pavilion at 530 in the morning, but then she saw the coupons. “OK, I see you guys are just trying to get a workout in. But like I said, the park is closed from dusk until dawn, unless using lighted facilities” she said, as I could tell she was contemplating her next move.

“So I’m officially telling you that you’re trespassing, and I expect you to leave the premises” she said with a wink, wink. “So I’ll be leaving now”

“Be safe out there officer” We said.

“You do the same” she said

    “Alright Doolittle, let’s do this”

So we went into the standard warmarama, leading with the usual Side Straddle Hops.

    COP 1 Elevens

    Ascending Thrusters and Descending Groiners

    COP 2 Ascending Ab exercises

Start with 1 WW2 and 2 double count American Hammers and ascend up to 10 and 20 of each

1 Lieutenant Dan and 2 Double Count Mountain Climbers up to 10 and 20 of each

COP 4 Descending Merkins and Plank Jacks

    start at 10 until time

I’m glad we were able to get this one in despite the rain and the obvious.

Lots to pray for and be thankful for this morning. Particularly , the officer for the grace to allow us to continue our workout without a fuss. There are a lot of good ones out there, and we’ll continue to pray for their safety and be thankful for their courage and willingness to serve. I’m sure it can often be a thankless job.

  • An Unexpected Visit from a Veteran

4 PAX came to Goyne Park for a frigid morning in the Bermuda Triangle. Doolittle and Big Rig started with a mosey lap around the parking lot, and on their way back 2 vehicles were pulling in.

It was 2 PAX that haven’t been seen in awhile. Shooter McGavin who’s been busy with work, and Broadway, who’s on the mend from a heart attack.

We got into it with some warmarama exercises and some merkins mixed in.

We meandered over to the other side of the outhouse and got some (a lot) Wall sits and hoe downs with some more merkins and ab exercises(a lot) mixed in.

Great to have Shooter and Broadway back. Don’t worry, Broadway was taking it easy.

    Lots to pray for!

  • We’re Gonna Take You Higher

On a chilly, but clear morning, 2 Bermuda Boys came out to Goyne Park to take things to another level.

  • Not Just Four Corners, All The Corners

It was a cool, damp morning in the gloom in the Bermuda Triangle. The chance of rain managed to keep the soft commits in the fart sack, but there were 2 PAX that knew that it doesn’t rain in The Bermuda Triangle.

The clock struck 530, and the PAX were off for a mosey around Ecoff Elementary, about a half mile, then into the standard warmarama complete with Nancy Kerrigan’s, Ukrainian Soldiers, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, and LBCs.

1st COP Merkin Burnout Four Corners Prostitute Style

12 Merkins at each corner (Or to Failure)

    1st corner Standard Merkins

    2nd corner Wide Merkins

    3rd corner Ranger Merkins

Wow! That’s a lot of Merkins, even only doing a max of 12 reps per set. Ends up being 16 sets.

2nd COP Legs Galore Standard Four Corners

  • A Bermuda first!

4 HIMs came out to the Bermuda Triangle for Doolittle’s VQ. We kicked things off with a mosey to the lower parking lot then back to the field for the warm-o-rama. Rattled off 20 SSH, imperial walkers and Ukrainian soldiers. The main event followed, a beatdown to target the 3 major muscle groups (Arms, Legs and Core). 3 stations were set up with a 4th acting as a timer. No rep counts, just you v you. Round 1 consisted of Merkins, lunges and WW2s. Timer would farmers carry the length of the field and then run back. Once he returned everyone rotates to next station. After everyone had a shot at a station exercises changed to include coupons. Curls, squats and American hammers, then go back to original movements. Repeat 3x then mosey over to the yoga mat where everyone selected an exercise for 2x around. These included oblique LBCs, stiff leg LBCs, regular LBCs, alphabet soup with your feet, box cutters, more American hammers, v lifts and more. Put coupons away and back to the flag for COT, announcements and prayer requests.

  • Many moons ago

A birthday Q to remember. Me vs me I always try to push myself in the things I don’t like doing. I looked back to the recent ipc week 1. On the football field we ran 90 yards between each work out. 35 reps at each end of the field. We did start with 6 burpees in honor of Broadways request. Workout in the end zones consisted of: SSH, merkins, oblique lifts with cindies, plank Jack’s, lbc’s, oblique lbc’s, box cutters, WW2s, calf raises with 2 cindies, double count lunges, squats, and maybe one or two I’m forgetting. We racked up just over a mile. But with 9 minutes left on the clock I was saving the best for last looking to ipc for inspiration we finished with 90 thrusters. With some no shows on the FNGs I need i could go hard and these HIMS did not let me down. And now looking forward to Doolittles VQ next week.
