  • Running from ET

It has been a while gathering at the ET at the Breakfast club. YHC was greeted by three strong men to head out to the dogpile. The route was typical ET route running through the Carytown and around the lake and ran back from the dogpile. It was approximately 4.5 miles.

  • Solo Run from ET

Launched from ET through the old typical ET route toward Dogpile and ran back to ET, resulting in approx. 4.5 miles.

  • Solo Start but Duo Return

Launched solo run at Early Bird Biscuit Co. via the regular route around the lake. Swiper generously ran with YHC on his return.

  • Is a Club of One a Club?

One mighty dude did the thing before the thing. Route was roughly a marathon give or take a quarter mile. Mumblechatter was minimal.

  • Skydiving

We ran, we conquered, we kick its a$$. And talked about fake skydiving.

  • At Last, Alone Time

With Gomer taking an FNG to Gridiron, Handshake on vacation, Hitch on the 24-hour DL, and Hutton on family duty, YHC took the reigns for a solo Breakfast Club. Conditions were 70 and sunny. According to the bedraggled dude who walks past every Saturday, this is more or less what happened:

    Route:

Big change today – south on Robinson, RIGHT on Floyd (whaaatt?), LEFT on North Arthur Ashe Boulevard connecting to South Arthur Ashe Boulevard. Yep, the Revolution will not be televised, fellas. Route continued right on Blanton to the park to the War Memorial to Rugby to Pump House to Park Dr. then to the shovel flag. 2.5+

Return route: Ole Faithful. 3.6 total.

Number, Name, YHC mumbled to himself about a lesson from Freed to Lead about helping other PAX make their journey.

    Announcements:

    Hitchhiker Fest – July 17, 5:30. BYOB.
    Field Day – September 18
    Q School coming this fall

NMS: YHC got a text from Gomer asking if someone could take the Q. Responding with a quick Yes, YHC soon realized that the Usual Suspects were likely going to be on other duties, so YHC had just made a reservation for 1 at 05:30. No matter. YHC would finally be able to get into the conversation without all of those “Mr. Chatterboxes.” Only those who post know how special that is. Plus, since Handshake on vacation in Florida, the group of one was open to a discussion on the history of VMI for the entire run. It was epic and glorious all at once.

Early Bird + ET’s + New Market in the house = the best of F3 Coffeeteria. Add in the spices that are Shakedown and Bone Thugs, and clearly the band is getting back together, fellas.

Thanks for the extended chatter, Bone Thugs. YHC enjoyed it immensely.

    Have a great weekend.

    UpChuck spits the bit.

  • Korean Names

YHC started off with 3 other F3 Brothers and with the assistance of Handshake as navigator made a nice mosey route to the Dogpile AO. During the run to Dog Pile mumble chatter was robust in talking about everything under the sun. We suddenly started talking about Korean names and Hitchhiker was telling us sample names and Upchuck commented that it was the first time he heard him curse! We were having a fun time bringing up names and made the run on this sticky morning not seem so long. Our run back was more direct as we had a great beatdown with The Carpenter as Q for Dog Pile.

The return route was more direct and was glad to have everyone together for the return trip.

Numberama, Namerama, YHC took us out.

Have a great weekend gents as it was a pleasure to run with you guys this morning! Cheers…CB!

    Moleskin

We will be having a Convergence workout next weekend and we will form up on Saturday July 3, 2021 @ 7am at Dogpile for an hour long workout. Please contact me if you are interested in participating in the Q as I would like to have all nano regions represented for this event. We will see you in the gloom!

  • They Don’t Make These Biscuits In Denver

Three arrived at the prescribed time, one was a minute behind, then another joined for the return route. None of the usual suspects today. Good to have new faces. Biscuits were enjoyed by all, including our visitor from Colorado. Welcome back. ET’s 2nd F never disappoints.

  • Beach Week with Gomer

3 studs rose early to meet the dawn, work off some calories, and prepare themselves for Beach Week (suns out, guns out). According to the 18 year olds preparing to graduate high school, this is how far the group ran:

Robinson to Boat Lake to Paddle Boat (yes, these are the real names) to AA Blvd., to Blanton, to Garrett, to Rugby, to Pump House, and then back up Park to hit Dogpile from the reverse slope.

Normal route on the way home, joined by Sippy Cup.

Numbers, Names, and YHC took us out with a reminder to work hard on our patience (specifically on YHC’s patience).

NMS: Going to Beach Week with Gomer and his friends sounds pretty fun. Going with Gomer and his son doesn’t sound too bad either.

Reminder: be present with your children.

  • A crew of two

The night before there were no messages exchanged between the usual Breakfest Crew peeps, so YHC was curious who would be there. Upon arrival YHC discovered it was only us. We ran, we chatted about nothing of major note, it was nice.

Prayer requests: Slipping Jimmy lost his mother a couple weeks back. Prayers for his father losing his spouse 1 month shy of 51 years.
