One PAX took to the Gloom, Rain, and Wind for today’s edition of the south Florida shuffle. Temps were 70 and sunny. According to Jim Cantore, the following might have happened: Conditions: winds 30-45 MPH, heavy rain, 75 degrees. Route: North ~2.5 miles on the boardwalk, then the nature walk, back by the same route. Wise Men not present. NMS: This was YHC’s second consecutive week to be fortunate in his business travel location – south Florida on the water. Nice. That said, conditions were difficult. Very high winds and heavy rain at times. This was YHC’s first decent length…
One PAX launched into the south Florida Gloom. Conditions were remarkably close to 70 and sunny, albeit with a lump of humidity. According to the 80-year old man on a bicycle, the following more or less happened: Route: South on the Hollywood Boardwalk, then north. R/T just about 3.5 miles. Walking pace, due to calf injury. Number, name, YHC took himself out. NMS: YHC has been nursing a recurring calf injury since mid-November. It’s painful (see Pyle, Gomer). In addition, it’s a downer. Walking trumps doing nothing, but nothing trumps being fit enough to work out. Important lesson to remember.…

ONE pax shot out of bed, formed a circle of one, and ran off into the early Pacific Gloom. Temperatures were 70 and sunny. According to the wet suit wearing wave riders, the following may have occurred: Route: Niguel Road west across Pacific Coast Highway. Left at the Beach Access Staircase. Down the access road to Salt Creek Beach. South the jetty. Two laps up and down the beach. One PAX answered the bell and took on the challenge of a 15th and Dodge beatdown. Temperatures, at least for the moment, were 70 and sunny. According to the two ladies walking their dog downtown, the following quite possibly occurred. COP – Jog two blocks to the federal building, conveniently offering fully mirrored windows, thus giving the COP the feeling of a bar class. A circle of one did the following: SSHs, DQs, IWs, DMH, WWIIs. Run up/west on Capitol to the top of the hill (about 6 long blocks). When the road ends, turn around. Mosey back down the…

SSHsIWsSSHs (v 2.0)HillbilliesDead Man HangCalf stretchLBCsFKsWWIIs Mosey northbound from the hotel property to the next property. 7 condo buildings meaning 7 stops on the…
170 F3 and FIA PAX gathered for one of the coolest experiences YHC has ever had with F3. Not just because it was the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks but because it was about 160 men +/- and 10 +/- women that got together to push their bodies as far and hard as they could. The workout had fairly simple instructions. Start at the bottom of the Lincoln Memorial and run to the top and back, do an exercise for the 6 and repeat The catch was you did the stair climb 26 times (wow) YHC’s legs where…
