  • Where are you?

YHC went to post with the Men of Cartaret County for a Saturday beatdown. Left the house with some time to spare. 5 minutes in realized failed to bring my phone. Thought I could locate AO off memory only to realize much to late I could not. In the parking lot I did find I did COP, 2 Jacobs ladders with Merkins/WWII’s then Drydocks/box cutters with about 100 yd run on both. Ended with a mosey with various exercises mixed in.

  • Valley Forge – Blast Furnace

Had fun getting to know Spike and the rest of the PAX. YHC ran a little more than allowed on a bad wheel but we are recovering.

  • A little warm up in January – FOB Mission Trip

2 mighty PAX passed their covid tests and boarded a 6:10 flight to head to Honduras for a little warm up for the body and the soul.

There is something about helping others that are in need, often the one that is helped the most is yourself.

YHC has been trekking to Honduras for 6 years and has led 4 trips. The greatest joy is to bring new folks and this year we were lucky enough to be joined by Pigskin who is a natural for trips like this. Certainly he will echo that FOB is a well run organization and that the trip had a great balance of helping others, camaraderie, and growth of the soul.

FOB teams travel to remote villages and we provide medical, dental, vision, and vitamins for young and old with an emphasis on helping children and building stronger healthier communities.

The best part of this trip was getting to work with Pigskin throughout the week. We mostly worked together in dental. The experience of seeing teeth pulled makes one never want sugar again – at least not without a good toothbrushing after.

We talked about some 1st F, but frankly YHC did not adapt to the heat very well this time, feeling dehydrated all week. It wasnt even that hot: 65F – 83F. Luckily we only had one day of rain at the end.

Let us know if you want to know more about it or join an upcoming team. FOB runs 12 trips a year and they are always looking to round out a team with 1-2 more.

FOB has a virtual benefit April 29. Let Gomer know if you want more details or if you can sponsor or donate an auction item.

  • West of the People Who Charge Money to Work Out

One PAX is all that was needed to put The Clinic into high gear. Temperatures were, again, actually 70 and sunny, or at least 70. According to the early morning smokers in front of the hotel, the following might have happened:

Broward loop. 4.5 miles. Stay WEST of the people setting up kettle bells in the parking lot, and then do that again on the way back.

Number, name, YHC took himself out.

NMS: Summer is coming soon to south Florida. Today might have been YHC’s last day of spring (i.e., super oppressive humidity likely returns next week). Glorious weather for a run.

  • Someone Call Security

One PAX did it again and made The Clinic happen. Temps remained 70 and sunny. According to the security guard stalling the PAX member, this might have happened:

5 miles. Out and back to Broward Blvd.

    NMS: mumbled to myself. Really.

  • Private memberships start at free

One PAX came forth into the Gloom to take on the latest edition of The Clinic. Temperatures were actually 70 and sunny. According to Mike, the office park rent a cop, here is what more or less happened:

Run focused beat down today. Run 150 to 200 yards, perform a set of exercises. 10 reps per station. Exercises were Merkens, World War II’s, squats, flutter kicks. Total mileage 4.8.

According to the Q, this was all done in 45 minutes. We don’t need no stinking watches.

    Numero, nombre, yo exito.

NMS: Outfit has started classes in the parking lot. Membership start at $99.99 per month for a personalized workout. Private memberships are more but you get a one person work out. YHC has also started offering one person workouts at the low, low price of free.

  • Spreading the SOP gospel

8 Amish and 1 southerner posted in Lancaster Saturday morning. Inspector had the Q and here is the BB: https://www.f3lanco.com/items/saturday-morning-beatdown

  • Back Door

One PAX scheduled an appointment and appeared for the latest edition of The Clinic. Temps were sunny and 70. According to the smokers in front of the hotel, the following happened:

5 mile route to Broward, going out through the in door and back in through the outdoor. No raspberry berets were injured in the process.

Name, number, YHC took himself out.

NMS: Cold, SFLa style. Only 55.

  • Just Ruckin’ Around

YHC had to head downrange to Nahf@ck for work, so Shakedown and Gypsy sent along the digits for some F3HR peeps. It was 70 degrees-ish and sunny at The Boathouse AO in the parking lot of the Tidewater Tides baseball stadium, when three gloom warriors gathered to meet the day – here’s how it went down:

Ruck up (20-30 lbs each) and hoof it for 2.5 miles at a 18:00 min/mi pace more or less.

Numbers, names, Sunshine took us out.

NMMS: One of the best things about F3 is finding extended family of sorts no matter where you travel. Rucking was a new experience for YHC; looking forward to doing more of it back home.

    Make it a great one!

  • Wrestle or Die

One PAX less than energetically launched at the Clinic. Temps were actually 70 and sunny. According to the not handicap hotel employee who had a handicapped tag and parked in a handicapped space, heres what happened:

YHC decides to do loops. about 1.5 miles per loop. 3 loops today.

Number, name, YHC took himself out.

Announcements: Fudd is moving back to Westham. Super. Welcome home.

    NMS: Nada. Quiet day.
