  • Flatulent Flutters

19 PAX said I am not fartsacking on this cold morning and pursued a more sculpted body for the holiday. While they did not fartsack, they sure did their best to create warmth for others.

COP: DQs, Helicopters, jazzercise, arm circles, merkins, Freddy Mercuries. Mosey to bus loop.

Triple check with run to end of bus loop and back (gotta do some cardio), coupon squats and curls for the ladies. Mosey to curb.

20s which are lawnmowers and swings need to equal 20. Did a bunch of sets with a run around the loop in the middle. Mosey to courtyard which is 30 feet away.

Triple check with rifle carry around the courtyard, coupon flutters and pole smokers. This generated a symphony of hot air; the temperature is certain spots was 5 degrees warmer. This group is pretty skilled at this “art” but today seemed more frequent and at times more potent.

Lunge back to home base. 30 bench presses and some stretching, numberama.

Prayers for a family member of Gypsy’s named Kelly who is starting treatment for prostate cancer. Speaking of treatment I finish mine in two weeks and will be in remission.

Pinto is having an F3 party on 12/20 (as Pinto for more details. It is at his house, starts at 5 and goes into late in the PM). I am having a gathering at my house on 12/27 to celebrate remission. More details forthcoming. Kubota is heading up the Bridge on 12/27; let him know if you are interested. Breaking bread needs someone for Sunday 12/28. Lots happening my friends.

    Thanks for letting me lead!

  • Drink your Gin and Tonica, it’s time for …

Adam Sandler and other Classic Christmas Workout Tunes

Thinking it might just be Corned Beef and myself posting on a Monday, I made a simple Classic Rock Christmas Playlist to accompany the Tabatta workout I came up with.

Pleasantly surprised to have a 3rd join us: Sandman and Beat It finally meet.

COP then mozy to Bus Loop for Christmas Tune Tabatta:

    • 45 seconds On, 15 second Rest each Round
    • 2X: Freddy Mercuries, Ball Dippers, and a Bus Loop Run
    • 2X: Dead Bugs, Lateral Lunge Shuffle, and Suicides
    • 2X: 3 legged Ab Reach, Squat Squat Jump, and Skip the Bus Loop
    • 2X: LBCs, Sumo Squats, Bernie Sanders

2nd F on Thursday at PBR? Chime in on the FB group!

  • Exploring the Deep West Coast

We did some warmups, waited for Seymore, and then headed down to the West Coast. We partnered up for a Dora of 100 Merkins, 200 Squats and 300 LBCs. We then went to the bike shop and partnered up for some Freddie Mercuries while the timer ran back to the West Coast and did 20 dips and ran back. We then moseyed to the Stretch Zone. We some jazzercise for fun and then ten burpees to show their camera how to really work out.

We then moseyed to a big lot and did some abs work until Attila crapped himself. We quickly ran to the opposite side and did some more, ran back to the start and did some more. The smell and stain was gone by then.

A quick run through the townhouses, then a bear crawl up some steps, and then we ran between houses in an unexpected marsh. All of this to end up at the top of the hill. We finished up with sevens of HRM and Burpees–6 HRM at the top and burpees at the bottom.

Taking us away from the grounds is needed every once in a while. We did almost 2 miles and I remembered my watch for the first time in a week, including a few Qs.

    Enjoy the week!

  • Only 17 PAX?

Fireman Ed arrived to the Circus and only saw about 10 PAX and was wondering if there was a boycott going on. More PAX arrived, a couple late including Fudd (no surprise there) leading to a lowish count of 17. We mosey past the coffee station for COP causing some confusion to our late arrivals.

COP: DQs, helicopters, merkins, MCs, LBCs. White Deer sounded his back horn and said let’s go.

Rifle carries while moseying to the front of the school. Take a break now lunges. Then halos right and halos left.

Four corners: 10 burpees (I had this idea that we should do burpees with a press. A Pax asked how do you do that? I said “hmm I don’t know. so let’s do plain burpees”. 20 sit and press, 30 bench press, 40 2 count flutters with coupon. Mosey to curb.

Triple check with run around parking lot, tricep pull downs and curls (for the cougars). Mosey to pump road side.

Elevens with 2 count lawnmowers and swings. With no cardio in between, the reps started to pile up. Mosey to bus loop.

3 sets of calf raises. 20, 25 and 30. Mosey to home base.

Finished with ab exercises and stretching and the prayer led by Attila.

This Saturday, the great Bootleg is leading the caravan/workout for the Bridge. He is having folks meet at Mary Mumford around 5:45. Reach out to him if you are interested in joining him and his group. Well worth it! Prayers for Fudd’s sister, Fudd’s uncle, Handshake’s niece, those who are looking for work and suffering from health issues. I had a good lab report on Tuesday; hopefully I will be done with treatment by mid-December. Thanks for letting me lead!

  • Yoda, Gump and Weird Al in a 3 way

21 Weird Al fans came to see Weird Snake make his second appearance and do some routines to the following comedy song setlist:

    1. Headline News (Parody of “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm” by Crash Test Dummies”)
      • Warmups of SSH, Ukrainian Soldiers, Helicopters and APDs–APDs while listening to the John Wayne Bobbit verse.
    2. Ebay (Parody of “I Want it That Way” by the Backstreet Boys”)
      • More warmups including arm circles, merkins, and others
    3. Gump (Parody of “Lump” by President of the United States)
      • Partner up. One runs like Forest and the other does Lt Dans
    4. 3-Way (The Golden Rule) by the Lonely Island
      • Triple check: Swings, Squats and the same run
    5. Lasagna (Parody of “La Bamba”)
      • Sextuple Lasagna party check of Swings, High Pulls and a different run (2 people each)

      • Finished off the Lasagna party routine
    7. Eat it (Parody of “Beat it” by Michael Jackson)
      • Two rival groups split up and lunged to each other and did Jazzercise during the chorus then lunged back and repeat. Only Bedpan is ready for Solid Gold Dancer tryouts
    8. Yoda (Parody of “Lola” by the Kinks)
      • Burpees every time you hear “Yoda”.
      • Don’t remember what kettlebell exercise we did (Single Cleans?) as we did over 25 burpees during the song
    9. 33 by Wolves of Glendale-Dedicated to the Hate (30’s) group
      • Overhead presses and Curls and Halos. Inspiring lyrics such as “When Greta Thunberg was 17, She was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, When I was 17 I got shot in the dick playing paintball” and “My mom is ashamed of me because I just turned 33”
    10. Fat (Parody of “Bad” by Michael Jackson)
      • Triceps and Sumo Squats
    11. Pretty Fly for a Rabbi (Parody of “Pretty Fly for a White Guy” by the Offspring)
      • Some Mary of LBCs, Heals to Heaven, some stretching, Hammers with the Bell and then ended with 5 burpees

We learned today that Lighthouse and others don’t know the John Babbitt story. Someone needs to explain it at the Anniversary convergence this Saturday at 6:30 and Dogpile. Don’t tell that story at the Father Daughters dance on 10/6 and WEAG.

Weird Al is in concert at the new amphitheater on 9/22. Ask Offshore for the best place to see it for free. I will be out of town and used this morning to scratch that itch. Thanks for letting me lead.

  • Hamilton

9 grown-boys showed up to Timberwolf this morning for some HR Derby. Here’s what went down…

WARMARAMA – Took a lap through the parking lot in the front of the school. It has been a MINUTE since we showed that side any love. Circled up, gave the mission and stretched out. After YHC drove the truck around trying to find an ideal spot, Flyboy spotted a corner of the tennis courts that would prove to be a mini Fenway with a high wall in left field.

    The Thang – HR Derby

    • (10) swings for Round 1 and (5) swings for Round 2.
    • The PAX performed (3) burpees in between at-bats while the batter took a lap after his cuts.
    • Each catch in the field would trim off (1) burpee so Fandango only did a handful of burpees today.
    • Crabgrass ripped one of the loudest/funniest fart that YHC has ever heard. It sounded like a small bear.
    • The PAX did their best to keep Meatball at bay but he led the way with (7) dingers with a few of us finishing at (5). The dude has a pretty swing!

    The Boys of Summer points

    • (1) for YHC for the Q
    • (1) for Matlock for all-time pitcher
    • (1) for Meatball for bringing all the equipment out

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    • Home Grown Half
    • Overnight ruck coming up
    • The Boys of Summer finale on 8/28

    PRAYERS/WINS

    • PRAYER – Meatball’s wife is headed out on a missions trip on Monday.
    • WIN – The Duke’s niece is headed to John’s Hopkins on an athletic scholarship!
  • Utilizing The Afterburner

last weeks edition of The Graveyard Shift called for some hill repeats. 3 PAX answered the call and hit Mt Midlo to try and get a bit better. We got in 7 reps total. 3 on the bottom half, 2 on the top half, and 2 reps of the whole enchilada. At one point a PAX who shall remain nameless, released some excess gas and shot off the rest of the way like a rocked!

  • Tanks on Monday!

Tanks came off quickly out at Mammoth Balls this gloom! YHC recommended the PAX wear them as face coverings to avoid the stench coming from yours truly, it was so bad the 4 HIMs had to evacuate the area! Wildwood is back! We get a visit from our favorite guy Pool Boy!

    Shwarmarama!

    • Mosey the lot/trail around the football field to get the heart pumping!
    • Deadman Hang
    • Michael Phelps
    • Helicopters
    • Arm Circles
    • Hip Circles

Take up your Irons and meander to the small parking lot for Mary Bells! Circle up, each PAX takes a turn to call exercise and reps. Once finished with set, Mosey the lot. Workout included the not all but some of the greatest hits!

    • Swings
    • Curls
    • Goblet Squats
    • Clean + Press
    • Step Ups
    • Bulgarian Split Squats
    • WWIIs + single press

    • Sunrise/Sunsets?
    • Merkin Pull Through
    • Plank Pull Through
    • High Row
    • SA Row
    • Halo + Reach
    • Heels Bells
    • American Hammers
    • Sissy/Stiletto Squats 5 Ct decend w/PAX holding low squat

    CoT

    Numbers(4) + Names!

YHC closed it out on a sweaty knee.

  • SWING SWING SWING

Ten warriors met for coffee and did a workout beforehand just for fun.

After some warmups, we partnered up, split up into 5 groups and did a circuit of 5 exercises I forced into a S.W.I.N.G acronym. One group started at each exercise and then rotated.

    Swings (20 count, 3 sets)

Windmills (6 each side, 3 sets)

Iron Lunges: slow 3 count lunge (10 each leg, 3 sets)

Nice and slow curls-slow 3 count curl (15, 3 sets)

Goblet Squats-slow like Copperhead squat (20, 3 sets)

After the 3 sets we did a lap and each group rotated to the next exercise.

Taking many of the exercises slow makes them more impactful.

This was originally going to be 6 groups to make it SWINGS so after the original circuit was done, we got together we did 3 sets of Sit and press (10/15/20 count–with ten count in between). The 20 brought some mumble chatter for sure.

The windmill is new and I did not teach it very well. Will bring it back again and teach it better. Here is a good video to help.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzFNJhGz8YI

I brought an FNG now named Blackout (works for Dominion). And he will be at Currahee tomorrow even after spending time talking to White Deer this morning..

Thanks for letting me lead. Please join me at the Bridge on the 19th!
