    Names, Numbers, Announcements

NMS — Thank God for F3 — YHC needed a break from the seriousness of yesterday’s news. These guys mean the world to YHC and have pushed me to places YHC never thought YHC would ever be. YHC is just astounded at where the world is today and how fast this all happened. So here is one of YHC’s favorite verses “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. ” Isaiah 54:10. What figurative mountains have been shaken this week? God’s love is still there. Be strong and be courageous during this time and spread hope not fear.

Partner up. Partner carry around the track followed by Team Jerkins (2 rounds for each person).

    Mosey to the start

Numberama, Namerama, The Carpenter took us out

    NMS

Mudface was first to arrive followed by Trout and The Carpenter. Mr. Holland rolled in and we all stood around wondering, “Who is leading this thing?” Someone finally asked. The answer was given… Hot Potato.

The Carpenter has not Q’d in many months due to a nagging pinched nerve and pain in his shoulder/right arm. Something seemed right (or wrong) about 50 SSHs IC to start the beat down. The PAX was wondering if 100 SSHs IC was in order but not yet…

Mr. Holland provided a tour of the whole school grounds and then led the PAX to the far hill where everyone expected “Touch a Tree” but we got “Touch a School” instead. There is only school. Mr. Holland directed us to touch a different brick on the wall each time.

Trout and Mudface dished out ample pain in the final segments. Mudface carried The Carpenter with a fireman’s carry. The Carpenter was not able to return the favor however. The Team Jerkins were well-received by all and will be making a return soon…

Good times all around in the gloom!

Switch partners, first partner does runs up hill to the playground, then backwards down the hill to relieve second partner, switch. YHC has not been to the Anvil in several weeks, felt great to get back. Mumblechatter was lively throughout, and the title of this backblast came from the PAX singing a song about dosee doeing with their partner. Lots of partner work today, inspired by YHC’s frequent thoughts this week of our brother, Wild Thing, who recently lost his M to cancer. Please keep him and his family in your prayers, and for those wishing to attend the services this weekend, The Carpenter put out a preblast today with details. Thanks for letting me lead today.

As usual, I have No Idea what I’m doing….

Head back to flag for 5 minutes of Mary, total of 67 reps of exercises including burpees, diamond merkins and WW2 situps. Numberama, namerama, YHC took us out.

    NMS

YHC was extremely fortunate to fly down to Baton Rouge to watch the national championship game with his family, celebrating each TD and great play with other (real) Tiger fans, whose team plays in the REAL Death Valley. We have a live Bengal tiger for a mascot, they have a guy in an orange suit which looks like a reject from a Frosted Flakes commercial circa 1985. It was a great time, and YHC thought it would be appropriate to recognize some of the many records broken this season by his beloved LSU Tigers. YHC also decided to Q today and tomorrow as lately YHC’s attendance at F3 has been spotty at best, but YHC will show up when No Idea is on the Q sheet. Mumblechatter today seemed to keep returning to what it was like to grow up and be educated in Louisiana, with many references to Water Boy, some of which are not that far off, but no, YHC’s mother is not a Swamp Witch. Great job today fellas, it was a blast to lead. See you in the gloom tomorrow!

As usual, I have No Idea what I’m doing….
