  • Three’s company for the ghost flag

Three F3 Clydesdales came out to a balmy morning at river run only find a beatdown awaited them. A handshake Q turned into a YHC Q thanks to the ghost flag. El Nancyo (I hear this is a thing now) gave the PAX a run option but all agreed on bootcamp.

Mosey around the front circle for some warmups. 20 each SSH, LBC; Seal Training: Overhead claps, front claps, 10 Each, Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperials Walkers, , Copper head squat, Cherry pickers, Merkins, Dollies, Flutters.

Mosey to base of twin team hill. Years ago Doozy led the toughest F3 workout I had ever done with a suicide up Twin Team hill. We were not going to do that but rather a variation.

The 10 percenter. 10% up the hill and perform 10 exercises, 10% more and perform 20 exercises while repeating only the last. 10 Merkins, 20 WWII’s, 30 squats, 40 Drydocks, 50 Dollies, 60 Monkey Humpers, 70 second plank hold, 80 LBC’s, 90 SSH’s, 100 APD’s. YHC’s measurements were off and hill was not as long as memory! We winded around at the top to Singers house for the ending. Run BTTF arriving 3 minutes over.

Announcments: Clown cars for the bridge this Saturday (Bootleg and upchuck). Homegrown half, 5K, 10K this Saturday.

Prayers to Charlotte may god wrap healing hands around her. YHC took us out in prayer.

Mumblechatter was strong this morning, it was a pleasure working out with you gentleman! Handshake has the SOJ ghost flag.

  • OG

3 regulars, a summer tourist, and a local tourist (YHC) showed up at River Run with no Q on the sheet so I grabbed the reins and called the OG. Wedding Singer knew exactly what to do and led Bullseye up the hills of Tarrington. Doozy hung with EF and I for the baseball talk but sped up on his own when conversation switched to 2.0s swimming. The hills were rough, the air was thick, and the pace was slow but all finished and are better for it at the end of the day.

  • Don’t Think Less of Me

Two River Run OGs led the way through the heavy morning mugginess up Twin Team through Powderham around Brigstock to Solstice and back to the start for 4 miles. Battle stories were traded.

  • More big data for Bullseye

We all know how Bullseye checks his big data points daily. Someone promised him that whoever collects the most big data points gets a bonus check at the end of the year.

4 Miles, to the park through JRHS to the WAWA and back

  • Big Data for Bullseye

YHC forgot to do the BB for last week and now there are two to write

    4 miles

  • 1 Man, 5 miles

Me, myself and I took off to get a few miles in before it got too hot on the river today. Route was to the park passed JRHS into Riverdowns South up the big hill, down the big hill and back to JRHS

NMS: YHC had missed the last few Mondays so a solo run was understandable. Hope to see the usual suspects next Monday.

  • River Run v17

Bullseye and I ran the river run loop 2 times and called it a day. Good stuff. Put it in big data.

  • Salisbury Run

Just Singer and Bullseye this morning. Run up Twin Team and into Salisbury. Out and back on Brigstock for 4 total miles.

  • Last Call

Yes, Last Call made his first showing of fiscal year 2025 at River Run after much previous banter from pax members.

Route – slow and steady, avoid the hills as much as possible, mosey around the high school to River Downs and partially up roller coaster for 4 miles. Doozy added more.

Great to have Last Call join us this week. Hopefully he becomes a regular. Certainly not the lounge he’s accustomed to at Bettie Weaver as was pointed out. Way to go.

  • Tannins and Tech

4 south side regulars ascended on River Run for an OG River Run route – Robious park parking lot loop back to Bettie bus loop, repeat once for 4 miles.

Conversation was plentiful as we made our way back and forth to the park. Good to have OC back in the mix.
