Before last week YHC had run a total of 17 miles on trails his whole life. Within the last 7 days YHC has recorded 34 miles of trails and looking to get another 30 on Saturday. YHC has never really eased in to anything –  if I do it I’m going all in baby full throttle !

Great job TYA and Olivander . TYA was rolling – freaken trailblazer baby – nice to have the roadrunner Olivander join us on the trails .

  • Happy Hillcrest Trails

2, yes 2, posted a few minutes early just before 1700 for a running beatdown on the hills on Hillcrest.

When YHC was considering the Wednesday afternoon run, it has been almost a month since my last assault on Hillcrest. When YHC called TYA, he said he was going to do the trails, YHC had no idea that there were trails in Hillcrest; he quickly said no the “Buttermilk trail”. “Oh well”, YHC said to himself. YHC began to suggest that YHC planned to run early, and that since TYA was such an ultra mega supercalifragilisticexpialidocious marathon man; running a few miles at a slowish, almost insigniifcant Bleeder pace miles, a trail run could be easily done afterward with Swirly, Secretly, YHC knew the Woodfin Braintrust was in the happy world of the Budget season, and Swirly was an odds on favorite for being at work late all week. With that, TYA said, “oh just text me if you run, I will run with you.” The Hook had been set. YHC Text was sent about 4:40, the YHC would be a Hillcrest in a few minutes. TYA was waiting at the top of the loop; when YHC arrived.

TYA thanks for running with me, Your pace is everything I’ve got on the flats.

  • The Smell of College

Six of us met at the TT location for some hills and HDHH.  Not as many hills as #rollercoaster but fun was still had by all.

Start at Kuba Kuba Dos.  Run down Sunset to University.  Cross college & take the path around the lake.  2 PAX stopped to water the plants along the way.  Do a loop up Gateway, by the stadium and back down.  Back around the lake and return more or less the same way we started.

UR campus looks significantly different at 1730 vs 0530.  Swirly coined it perfectly with his “This is the smell of college” comment.

Few quick cervezas at KKD post run, some staying longer than others.

    The Thang, and NMM

    We ran.

  • BRR 2018

ONE intrepid warrior kept the flame burning at the first post BRR edition of the Wednesday Hill Run.  Or, put another way, the first training run for the 2018 BRR was a lonely affair.  The Pax can only grow.

    Thang:

Ran around in a circle.  Ran around in a reverse circle.

    COT:

It’s like dizzy-bat trying to create a one-Pax Ball of Man…so YHC hopped in the car and gave thanks for another safe day.  Also, quick shout-out to YHC’s peeps in Florida.  Clean up is a long, challenging affair.

    Moleskin:

UpChuck mumbled to himself during the run.  It was interesting.  You should ask him about it.

  • Tapering…just say no!

12 stalwarts posted for a Wednesday run.  Weather was perfect for a Wednesday afternoon, 79 and sunny….70 and sunny in my mind

The Thang:  Run the hills for 45 minutes. YHC tried to give directions, but that did not go well…people did whatever they wanted.

    NMM:

12 is definitely a record for this year at the hill run.  After seeing the PAX today attack the hills, everyone seems ready for the BRR.  A little 2nd F at TYA’s house post workout…Circle K was the cook.
