7 strong hit the hills of roller coaster Wed afternoon – dealers choice style – run for an hour – then see ya in the gloom….. Great job guys – preparation is key !
Six stallions arrived at Hillcrest to find it 63 degrees and partly cloudy. Some came early (“no really, don”t worry; it happens to a lot of people”), some came late, all came ready to get down. And back up. And down again. And back up with some wheezing at the end. No sun, no guns, and at the secret 05:00 pm start time, off they went. 1 x long loop, 1 x medium loop, 1 x short loop —- more or less. SYITGloaming …. Doublemint
6 studs posted on a perfect Wednesday afternoon. Route of the day was the Smorgasbord: one short loop, one medium loop and one long loop. Hot days are coming to RVA. 85 today at the start. A whole new environment to adapt to. Good to run in different condition. Got a good regular group of folks coming out on Wednesday’s. Come on out and join us.
6 maybe-not-Italian (ok, Salvucci is probably Italian) Stallions busted out of the paddock for today’s heat-soaked version of the Roller Coaster. According to the kids coloring the road in front of TYA’s house, this is what happened, more or less. Two big loops for everyone. 4+ miles. Hills, hills, and more hills. NMS: Hot today. Not summer sticky hot, but still “we are not ready for this” hot. YHC definitely heard Adrienne Pennino yell out “Stop the fight! Stop the fight!” at the end of the second round on this one. More than one UpChuck was present (if you know…
5 runners and a rider loop-d-looped for the first spring, 2021 Edition of The Roller Coaster. Most did 5, some did 6, and maybe someone did 7 small loops for roughly 5 miles, give or take. Perfect day to be out running. Thanks for joining fellas. 142 shopping days until BRR. Oh, and Kay drove by. Nice to meet her.
1 Davillian traveled into the city in the last afternoon on Wednesday to stamp his passport for the second evevning workout. After not being able to recurit any other Davillians to make the jounery. YHC went solo to Hillcrest and ran the long loop extended for 3.2 miles Was able to get the run done before it got to dark and in between the ran. Hillcrest as always is a beast SPIT ON THAT!!
We ran hills, we ate hot dogs, we drank beverages and we solved problems. It was fun. We will do this again on July 29. SYITG! Kubota
A lonely Davillian made the last minute decision to brave the heat and get some miles on Hillcrest. YHC wasn’t sure if anyone would be there since it didn’t seem there has been a Backblast for this AO in a couple of week. Got in one long loop and one short. No TYA or Swirly was spotted but a few of TYA’s neighbors were out getting in their hill running. YHC plans to be back throughout the summer for Colonial 70 prep. SPIT ON THAT!!
Another couple of Hillcrest loops turned by the F3RVA tractor club this evening. Nice cool weather and a TYA sighting made it all ok! SYITG! Kubota
