    Frozen Triangle 2025

    Who: All Pax

What: An epic CSAUP involving running or rucking to various AOs, stopping for a brief bootcamp at each AO.

When: February 8, 2025 (day before superbowl). Beginning at 6 a.m. Wrapping up around 9 a.m.

Where: Route begins at Dog Pile ==> Lynwood Elementary ==> Mary Munford ==> Dog Pile. Here is the route: https://tinyurl.com/2025-Frozen-Triangle-Route

Why: It is a CSAUP. You get to burn a bunch of calories prior to superbowl. Be a HIM. Wave around the American Flag. To quote one of the greatest HIMs, “Transformation does not happen in the comfortable middle. Transformation happens at the hard edges. ”

What’s next, how can I help?

    1. We need people to Q at Dog Pile, Punisher, and Mary. I have reached out a few via DM (check your messages).
    2. DTH to lead rucking group. Thank you.
    3. Need a team to lead provisions: I wanted to try something new for snacks/drinks this year. My idea being we could have a few guys drive an suv/van loaded snacks/drinks (I will provide) that meets the runners/ruckers at each destination.
This group would basically “setup” before arrival. If they want, participate in the AO beatdown. Then load up the supplies and move on to next AO waiting for people to arrive again. I think this would be a better approach because we won’t have to preposition vehicles or snacks.
    4. Would you be interested in helping or participating? Let’s go!!
  • Ruckhenge 010825

8 Ice warriors braved the frigid temps and posted for a a few miles of streets and trails. We threw in a few sets of farmers carry and…….yes burpees, though not enough to get the MABA lads to their 100 (look for multiple short loops on the map). Great to have a brother from downrange join us this am and to have a continued Q.source discussion about commitment and consistency.

Announcements: Look for details about upcoming the Frozen Triangle, Century ride/run and another GTE excursion in 25′ on Slack.

    SYITG!

  • You Can Dress Too Warm For This Weather

3 noble nomads embarked on a frozen ruck to ensure the hiking trail at the Lumberyard was blazed for the late morning risers.
Wildwood could nearly ice skate the trail in his sneakers. Choo Choo forgets his watch(terrible feeling if you like tracking your workouts). YHC dresses way too warm and discreetly pulls the tarp to cool down the nips!

Great ruck gentlemen, we trailblazed at least a minuscule section to make it back to the chariots on time.

Beaver F3ver and the Lumberjacks out!

  • Back up to 50, sometimes 110

A handsome six pack of ruck brothers assembled in the frigid gloom to tackle at least a few miles under extra weight. YHC had challenged the PAX to pack an extra 10 pounds today, which brought YHC up to 50 pounds – feelin’ like Growruck all over again! Then we also shared Sandy (60# sandbag) for the duration of the ruck. The GTE vets all agreed anything is possible (and better) than when we bear crawled downhill with 50+ pound packs on board. Appreciated the warm conversation on a cold morning – and TSG learned something new! (See picture) Yours AYE! ~DTH

  • Running under the stars

Mumble chatter of previous rucks we’ve talked about trying to get more distance in. We started out rucking into the neighborhood under a shooting star. After a quick loop I let the guys know we’re going the distance. We started to mosey, I called out to the group to pick a house and that’s where we would slow to our usual pace. This is how we continued throughout the ruck to get us past the 5K mark. Intermittently finding markers to run to. This was definitely a calf burner on the hills but a great warmup for the Beaver Q. Choo Choo probably thought they’re was an emergency as we ran to meet up with him to interrupt his parking lot broga/ run session. We did finish up a few minutes early to meet the new FNG’s. Numbers are growing in the lumberyard with a promising 2025. Great work fellas.

  • The Extra Mile

4 HIM’s came ready to ruck for the final gloom of 2024. We brought along much mumble chatter and a coupon to pass every quarter mile to make the ruck a little more challenging. We may have dropped our rucks back at our chariots however we continued walking and hitting some pull-up bars and bench dips along the way, finishing up at 4.11 miles.

I’m hoping to bring in some logs for 2025.

    Numbers, Namarama and COT

  • Pre CSAUP ruck

Quick 2.5 mile ruck to warm up for the lumberyard CSAUP. The rain held off for a beautiful December morning ruck. Great mummble chatter with Choo Choo. We had a beautiful view of the morning light poking through the clouds and a Beaver running the football field.

  • Gorilla Escapades

Nine holiday-spirited ruck lovers followed a new route out of Rockwood, across Hull St, and around the quiet neighborhood streets of Mayfair Estates, covering a total of 3.08 miles. Weather reported 30 degrees, but it was 70 and sunny in these gloom lovers hearts. The Mumble Chatter was rich (ask Hardywood to share about his gorilla escapades), nearly everyone had a turn shouldering Sandy (the 60 pound sandbag), and no man was left behind. Oh, and Mudslide and Big Rig did some brotastic laps around the area.

Prayers for Doublemint’s mom facing terminal cancer, and peace and wisdom for Dmint and his family in the process. God shines most brightly through us when we bear witness to His Love while walking through a  dark season. Keep the birth of Christ and the reason for His coming at the center – God loves YOU!  Yours AYE! ~DTH

  • 2 Men and a Runner?

Shovel flag’s up and Coupons down! I guess the shovel flag wasn’t the only thing that was up at 6 AM, am I right guys? Haha!

Pool Boy and YHC got after it this morning for some EC with a 3 mile ruck and a coupon to carry to share and handed it off every 1/4 mile. Choo Choo rolled in about 3/4-1 mile into our ruck to do a partial run and ruck but couldn’t seem to find us to team up.

Great ruck this morning with Pool Boy, it’s always nice getting to know him a bit more every time we get together.

  • fudge packing nut sacks

Seven gloom warriors got up a little earlier than usual and freshened up with the hottest new holiday cologne, Eau De Tryhard. Here were the highlights and hilarities:

The THANG:   Welcome back to Rodeo Clown for the ruck portion of our Ruckhenge time together, and nice to have Bromance step up to the plate and join the fun. 0500 hit and PAX did a warm up latecomers loop around the parking lot, returning to the Taco to collect Sandy (60# sandbag). Instructions provided to share Sandy around the PAX for the duration of the ruck – Purple Rain had first honors and made it look light. Marched over to Buford Road Pharmacy and did a brief Welcome, Disclaimer, and x10 Squats IC to “warm-up”. Sable did those squats under 100 pounds total, and his grunts of pleasure made us all feel a little warmer somehow… PAX ambled around some neighborhoods and made it back across to Larus Park for a loop on the trails, getting a total of 3 miles in. Well done all!

After COT, Coffeerama at Einstein was packed with humor and deep thoughts. DTH shared a delicious holiday Fudge (thanks to Katniss’s M), and jokes about fudge abounded. Then Rodeo Clown slapped his nut sack down on the table top, ie, he doled out beautifully wrapped baggies of home made Bourbon Espresso Pecans. And then Doublemint regaled us about his serving as a JAG with the National Guard is like being the Shaft of the spear (the tip being the guys going into combat). Sooo you get the picture – fudge packing, nut sacks, and a big shaft… In an effort to discuss the Q Source, Purple Rain shared he had some pillow talk with his M last night reading from the Q Source to his wife. Her reaction was “what propaganda is this?!” The PAX moved on to discuss the topic of Exhortation – concluding that leading by example and investing time listening to someone’s story is what positions you to exhort a brother in love. Awesome time with awesome brothers – heart is full! Yours AYE! ~DTH
