Today’s pace was not record setting by any meaning. But 4 HIMs still strapped on the packs for a 3+ mile ruck through the hood. Conversations ranging from last nights poker / dart event , thank you Rudy, to how our kids stretch boundaries, and Fandango vs. gravity. Always a great kickoff to the weekend gents.

Eleven HIM’s converged at Ruckhenge in 1000% humidity to happily discover that a new DTH caber would accompany their morning ruck. This conifer log is about 8’ long and weighs about 80-100 pounds, dense with embedded sap. The PAX took turns in pairs to share her uncomfortable weight as we looped through Larus and local neighborhoods. (See pictures on Slack). Dealer was heard to exclaim “oof, that log just hits different!” An official name of this hefty new coupon is still in progress but current candidates like “Justinian” and “Sophia” hail from our new book “The Uses of the Past:…

Three of us came out to sweat it out with weight on our backs. We knocked out just under 3 miles. Cap Gains picked up a used pontoon boat and is fixing her up piece by piece. Beaver’s toughing it out without AC at home for the moment. Meanwhile, Choo Choo’s scheming on how to make his move to Manteo, North Carolina permanent, dreaming of a life filled with workouts and fishing. Don’t Waste The Day!

15 men gathered at the Stony Point SC for this week’s edition of RH. Great to welcome some new pax and welcome back some others. Welcome to Lil Jon (FNG) too. We covered 3.3 miles of some streets and trails, and threw in a few off the cuff activities to remind the Freedom Ops lads of what’s in store come October. Not even a really sick tree could dampen the spirits of this group though as we returned for coffee and bagels, if just a little late. Summer Tour continues at Satan’s Hill Friday 6/20 Dookie VQ @ the Forge…

7 HIMs came out on a humid morning to pound pavement! Suns out, guns out was today’s theme. We set a good pace and off we went. Today we discussed hunting, lots of hunting, how flyboy can’t be patient for 8 hours but also can’t tell the difference between rabbit poop and other species, including his own. Stirred up some ideas for VQ week next week, glad to see the guys making a commitment to that, excited to see what they have in store for us. prayers for Rudy that he brings his A game Friday, Cookie and YHC are…

Eight amigos toted their rucks around Larus Park next to the Stony Point Shopping Center for a power-hour of good times and hard work. The majority of the PAX kept their biceps modestly covered but Purple Rain would not be denied on this glorious morning. Inspired by PR’s pythons, YHC led us through the trails in a snake-like pattern for today’s 3.34mile trek. All eight returned to the flag for COT and then shared a coffee at Einstein’s to discuss the end of Jordan Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life, ideas for the next book, and the English…naturally. Announcements:- Summer Tour…

Seven gloom warriors shattered any remnant of lazy Saturday vibes by packing out heavy steel weights and speed rucking a few miles around Rockwoods Park in preparation for Big Rig’s birthday Q. Great to meet Cavity Search and share some missionary adventure stories. Gos is good all the time! Yours AYE, DTH

7 HIMs broke the sound barrier today. Crabby was hitting the snooze button but eventually made it out to meet us. According to the woman who flicked us off, here’s what happened… Met at stop sign and had an FNG join us! 6 originally but Crabby texted us so we made a rendezvous point down by the reservoir. Met up and swung by Toby’s house but he wasn’t there, so we went down past the gas station and doubled back. Today’s conversation: scary/horror movies, the Zeissometer, Rudy’s Timberwolf record, work travel tips and tricks, swim lessons, and Brazilian meats in…

Today is the 81st anniversary of D-Day. Of the 16.4 million who served in WWII, it’s estimated less than 60,000 are alive to tell the story. Truly an end of an era, so today we paid homage. 10 HIMs came out today wearing a ruck or weighted vest. They were met with a choice of coupons to carry as well, each member carrying 60-70 pounds for the entire workout. BLIMPS style workout up and down Satans Hill to honor the five beaches stormed: Utah, Juno, Gold, Sword, and Omaha. we merged Sword and Omaha together for time, but 9 times…

THANG Only Ruckers today and we walked past Starbucks to witness lift trucks getting their app purchased Starbucks! Only in DaVille. We walked this loop and through another neighborhood. Great conversation and Bulkhead is heading out to India for a week to help his parents return to the US. Travel Safe and look forward to seeing you in the gloom when you return! Numberama, Namerama Mach took us out in prayer.
