  • Alamo = F3 mission. Plant, Grow, and Serve.

Less than 6 months ago Vagabond, McGruff, and Nancy Lopez had the idea of splitting New Market’s Satan’s Hill into the Alamo (M) and Satan’s Hill (F). Today, a total of 10 Pax got it done via HP. Nearly all first posted at either the Alamo or Satan’s Hill. Not one has spent more than 1 year posting with F3. Good stuff.

    Warmorama: Quick mosey. SSH (30), UKS(20), CHS(20), Merkins(10), Planks, LBCs(20), APDs(15)

COP 1 (Wildcat): Mosey to bunker. Triple check. Runner through tunnel and other Pax perform flutters and WW2s.

COP 2 (Purple Rain): Mosey back to the future pickle ball court area. Partner up. P1 Bear Crawls. P2 10 V-ups. Rotate over and over until we reach the other part of the u-shaped parking area.

COP 3: (Purple Rain): Mailbox burpees. Build from 1 to 10. That sucked.

COP 4: (Warby): Warby honed his VQ spirit and brought back the side shuffles along parking lot with 1:5 merkins and plank jacks.

    1 min plank. Time.

Numbers/Names. Wildcat took us out in prayer.

    Announcements:

  • Alamo

10 strong made it out for beautiful morning at The Alamo. I’m told it’s a small group for this AO but they brought it!

Circle up for the usual intro and a warmup

    Multiple exercises performed In Cadence

SSH, Don Qs, Imperial Walkers 30 count In Cadence(Speeding up the count as we go), LBCs ( regular, and Chums one legged LBCs) Canoe holds with arm circles.

Next we would go for a run around the neighborhood for a somewhat golf inspired workout. Stop at every intersection and perform an exercise, adding an additional exercise at each intersection and increasing the reps in increments of 3.

    3 burpees

    6 squats

    9 WW2s

    12 Double count Mountain climbers

    15 merkins

    18 monkey humpers

    21 LBCs

    24 calf raises

    27 American Hammers

We stopped adding exercises at 27 but we did 3 more full sets I think.

I believe we did at least 36 burpees

@NancyLopez got a sprint in on the way back to the flag. He thought we were stopping at an intersection, but I threw him a curve and kept going.

Back to the flag for some Alabama prom dates and Supermans.

I believe it was Pele who led us in some Broga to finish.

    Names, numbers, prayers and announcements.

Prayers for McGruff’s neighbor who passed away too soon at 31. Pray for her family to get through this trying time.

Great group at the Alamo! Lots of PAX I’ve never had the opportunity to post with. It was a great group to lead, even with Negative Nancy!(Just kidding!)

Part 2: For context, the parking lot at the Alamo is U-shaped, so I decided to kick off partner bear-crawl/lunge/broad jump burpees. My bad on this one guys…

We started at tennis court and worked our way towards dumpster. Audible for the next corner (in front of the Alamo.  Halfway through the broad jump burpees we switched to crawl bear. Made it to the final stretch and I decided to bring it all then way home. Finished up with backwards lunges to the end. Lots of grumbling.

  • Mystery Q at The Alamo

A Sunday night 8:00 check of the Q sheet showed no Q for the newest-hottest AO in town. YHC had been thinking about making a trip down to The Alamo and this proved to be an easy opportunity.

Mosey around the full parking lot to get the muscles warm and start with a COP full of various fun exercises to include Inverted Scorpion Kicks, Suzanne Summers, etc.

Mosey to the Tennis Courts and for Wheelbarrows. P1 Wheelbarrow from the end line to the net and complete 10 Derkins. Mosey back to the line and repeat with P2. Repeat for 3 rounds for each partner.

Mosey to the street in the front of the main building. When there is no four corners to run around we can still do a Four Points run. Mosey up the street and complete 10 Jump Squats, next stop 10 Jump Squats and 20 WWII’s, next stop 10 Jump Squats and 20 WWII’s and 30 Merkins, next stop 10/20/30 and 40 LBC’s. Now descending 30/20/10 then 20/10 then 10.

Mosey back to the front of the Tennis Courts. Get 2 partners for a Triple Check. P1 run to the front door of the building and back. P2 LBC’s, P3 Squats. 3 people, 3 rounds.

Finish with 2 minutes of Mary featuring Flutter Kicks and WWII’s.

Announcements – SOJ Happy Hour this week at Diamond Billards. Not sure the exact date/time.

NMS – It was a good day to make a road trip. Definitely surprised some people when they rolled up and Lil’ Blue was sitting in the parking lot. Great job to Vagabond and others for taking charge and getting The Alamo started and getting new people out. Way to use the power of Facebook and weaponizing spousal guilt.
