  • What A Great Start To The Day

We took one lap around the parking lot and they warmed up with: Arm Circles, helicopters, hand release merkins, lbc’s and maybe a couple more.

We stayed in place on our backs and spelled out the entire alphabet via leg lifts as called out by the Q. There were some shaky moments but I think we did them all in order. Mosey to the elevated flap poles for calf raises. We used the Tabata timer – 8 sets 20 seconds long. The burn was real by the end. Next to the parking lot for 11’s starting with 10 burpees and 1 WWII situp. Mosey across the parking lot for 4 corners. Started with 10’s at each corner (Merkins, Heels to Heaven, Monkey Humpers and Lunges). Then we did 20 of each with karaoke between. One more Tabata – Balls to the Walls 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off – 8 times. Mosey over close the cars and stretched for a couple minutes because we’re grown men and its important. Numberama, Namarama, Announcements – discussed getting together for lunch, upcoming evening at PBR next week and Saturday workout at 6:30. Opus took us out with a prayer. I’ve been feeling a bit down this week and this morning really picked me up. Thanks for the fun and friendship guys.

  • Five Guys – What Happened To The Peanuts?

Lap around the parking lot to stall as everyone showed up.

    Warmup consisted of: Cherry Pickers, SSH’s, Hillbilly’s, LBC’s and….

Workout: Beep Test. I was the first to drop out. The other guys raced to 8 and we decided to move on. Next was Seven of Diamonds (4 rounds of each exercise at the 4 corners of the parking lot): 7 Hand Release Merkins, 14 WWII Situps, 21 Jump Squats or Bobby Hurleys, 28 Two Count Flutter Kicks, 21 Two County Shoulder Taps, 14 Imperial Walkers and 7 Calf Raises on the Curb. Next was Triple Check. We had 5 so we split into 2 groups of 2 and a single. Runner was the timer. Exercises were Runner, Peoples Chair if tired, burpees if not and LBC’s.

Mosey to the parking lot for a quick circle of fire. We made it around once and it was time to wrap up.

Numberama, Namarama, Announcements (Beer run coming up in October). Prayer by Yardsale. Thankful for this group of guys. Have a great weekend and see you next week.

Numberrama, Namerama, Announcements, YHC took us out

    MOLESKIN

YHC woke up early thanks to 2 of 3 2.0’s waking up and needing to be put back to bed. The original plan was to do a mini IPC but when you get up earlier you start thinking.

The music was well received except YHC somehow added Jessie’s Girl and not a Rocky song the playlist.

Great mumble chatter this morning about 80’s movies and some not so great remakes of movies. The PAX enjoyed the awesome weather this morning.

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Another Non-VQ Q

As a regular PAX member at The Creek YHC agreed to substitute at the last minute for Opus who is, hopefully briefly, on the IR. What could possibly go wrong when a PAX member who has not even done a VQ takes the Q, plans for about three total minutes, and wings it? An unexpected downrange visitor from F3 Charlotte arrived to ensure the events from the exquisitely prepared proceedings would be shared far and wide. This is what went down based on YHC’s fuzzy recollection:

Mosey across the parking lots to circle up. The following exercises, and maybe more, were done in cadence: 20 SSHs; 10 Hillbillies; 10 Imperial Walkers; 10 DQs; 15 arm circles (10 big, 5 small); 16, yes 16, reversed arm circles; 20 shoulder taps; 15 American Hammers; and 20 4-count flutter kicks.

Mosey back across the parking lot for a triple check. Timer ran a lap around the small parking lot. Other exercises were dips and merkins.

Slow mosey to the middle of the main parking lot. PAX lunges forward, sideways, and backwards following parking lot lines across the parking lot. PAX always led with the right foot the first time across and then went back across always leading with their left foot. Because this was so fun, PAX then followed the same path and concept with the bear crawl. Many modifications ensued.

PAX moseyed to the blacktop for a modified DORA. While one or two PAX members ran suicides, the other one or two worked together on the following: 200 LBCs, 200 SSHs, and 100 ball dippers.

PAX then moseyed to the back corner of the school. The next Triple Check did not go as planned but eventually settled into a timer running/walking to and from the playground. The other PAX members did balls to the wall and heels to heaven.

Finally the PAX moseyed back to the start, pausing for a burpee at each light passed. There was time for two minutes of stretching back at the start. Wild Thing took us out.

Thank you to Wild Thing and Hot Corner for your patience this morning. A big thank you to Hot Corner as well for finding mitigating circumstances to excuse the absence of a shovel flag. YHC wanted no part of a burpee penalty.

  • Just smack it

Hot potato Q at The Creek today. Good beatdown and good company as always.
