Next time around the timer does 15 KB thrusters, YHC called time after 2 PAX had done 20.

Collect things and head back to where we started.

10 minutes of burpees — Pick a number between 6 and 10 and do that number of burpees. Rest time when you are done until the minute is up, then start again.

    Numbers, Names, Announcements, etc.

NMS — Great job done by all! Best Jump ropers of the day were pretty much everyone except YHC, although YHC did get one double under in the last go round. Jump Rope sucks, but it is so good for the body. Thanks for coming out!

Most of the PAX had been present for Mudface’s merkin challenge yesterday at The Anvil, and probably would have been okay with few or zero today, but this was not to be. YHC did try to break them up between other exercises, however. The 4th F was omnipresent this morning, with Corned Beef and Trout being the main suppliers, and Mudface was in fine form from the beginning, with some Emoji-like counting during COP, along with almost kicking YHC accidentally on purpose during the 11’s. As usual, it was a lot of fun to lead, and congrats to Beulah for posting the first time on Monday and every day this week. 231 Merkins by YHC’s count. Nicely done!

As usual, I have No Idea what I’m doing.

    MOLESKIN

YHC apologizes for the tardiness of this post. Long day at work follow by the immediate jump into the weekend for a youth retreat left no time to get the BB finished

Life has been busy for YHC lately which has caused the number of post per week to decline. Fridays at The Creek has become a can not miss post every week.

Focus of the day of course was Merkins with some other things mixed in

Emoji recently has been wearing a headlamp every post which has been causing some of the PAX (i.e Mud Face) to express his thoughts on this not being used. Also it started an conversation about how sea turtles can be come blind at birth due to flashlights directly pointed at them for more than 5 second (boom BB title)

County tax dollars hard at work this morning when the maintenance guy comes to the back of the AO and parks his truck where we are doing the merkins, takes a measuring tape out and kind of measures the width of the blacktop path and then goes on his merry way. Hmm…? Was he really there to measure that small piece of pathway or was he checking in on us? Who knows? Anyways, what did measure up this morning was the PAX. They crushed it without too much complaining. What more could a Q ask for?

One morning in the winter of 1996, YHC was preparing to drive through the blizzard to work. The neighbor’s 9 year old daughter stopped him long enough to have a short snowball fight. He drove to work, worked the day and returned home. When he got home he found out that the neighbor’s family had gotten hit by a car and that the daughter had died and the mother was in the hospital for injuries. YHC had not thought about this until the Creek moved to its new location and he saw that there was a playground there dedicated to this little girl, who had been a student there at the time of her death.

Strong work was done by all

Thank you gentlemen, it was an honor to lead

  • Cold Morning @ the Creek

CSBC – We start with the curbside bear crawl where we crawl from one island to the other island curb turn 180 degrees feet on curb and perform 1 Derkin we then go to the opposite side 2 Derkins repeat up to 13 reps. This was getting us warmed up.

4 corners – We divided into groups of 3 and the rotation was the following: Partner 1- ran a lap, Partner 2 stands for PLT with partner 3 performing PLT. At halfway point partner 1 shouts switch and we go to booyah merkins until partner 1 completes lap. Partner 3 starts next lap, partner 2 performs PLT partner 1 stand for PLT. We completed 4 rounds of this and we were close to finish time.

Nice to have some a cooler morning. Some thought that it was cold enough for long sleeves. YHC feel the golden rule should be long sleeves under 50. Some discussion was had over this

There is always humor when it comes to Mud Face and Chewy partnering up. This week was no acceptation. A couple times after Mud Face would come back from the run during the workout deck, Chewy was not to be found. Even for a teenager, Chewy still has some kid in him since was found on the jungle gym every time.

6 Burpees was YHC’s honoring 6 great years with his M the F3 way!

This was the first week the DaVille back got a taste of Person’s Corner. The new location looks to open things up for the PAX. From a large field, baseball field, track, and more.

This challenge was so intense it drew blood from YHC. YHC scraped his leg on the cinder block after it almost field on his foot.

Overall these challenges have been a great test for the PAX and YHC is looking forward to next year
