Final thoughts: I was celebrating 4 years in F3 RVA today! It’s been an amazing time with many great memories and friendships. Broke out some exercises from the Q’s of Chaplains past. The best “back in the day” reference was definitely hearing about Dealer circa 1999.

No Mercy 3/4 Mile
WARMARAMA
Mosey to the MS parking lot and ease into the warm up with dead man hangs. The copious amounts of groaning and moaning from the PAX during dead man hangs set a strong tone for the rest of the morning. Also mixed in Cherry Pickers, Merkins, DQs, Freddie Mercurys, LBCs, and helicopters.THE THANG
Experimented with a new pearl called Clockwork Orange. Each man stands on side of hill. With feet in the center of the clock, do 1 burpee (at 1 o’clock), 2 WW2s (at 2 o’clock), 3 burpees (at 3 o’clock), 4 WW2s (at 4 o’clock), all the way around the clock until 12 o’clock. Needs improvement (i.e., do on flat surface or less steep hill). No Mercy Mile was next on the list. Line up on track. Lap 1: 25 Merkins at midpoint of straightaway, run to curve, Bear Crawl curve, run to midpoint of straightaway, do 25WW2s, run to curve, Lunge curve. Lap 1 done. Rinse and repeat. Lap 2: wide grip Merkins, Bear Crawl curve, Alabama Prom Dates (even more moaning than the Dead Man Hangs during Warmarama), Lunge curve. Lap 3: More of the same but swapped Bear Crawls for Bernie Sanders and Lunges for Reverse Lunges. Only finished 3 laps because of time.

Eras Tour
A quintet of former boyfriends met up this morning for a revenge tour. Tears were shed, stories told and hearts were broken all to a Taylor Swift soundtrack. This is what was seen from the school security cameras.
5.30 strikes, lets mosey….hold on, Dealer arrives…walking Ukranian Soldiers while he catches up. Mosey to the front of Thompson Middle School. No disclaimer as we all know why we are here. Short introduction to todays theme and the soundtrack begins. Quick warmup of a variety of exercises to mixed but poor cadence all ending in 13. All is warm
Are you ready for it?
THE THANG: SWIFTEEES: Begin at door 1 of Thompson Middle School and work our way around stopping at every door for the following exercises with the count being the number on the door.
S – Squats
W – World War II’s
I – Imperial Walkers (2 count)
F – Flutterkicks (2 count)
T – Dir T Hooksups

Group doors together to help expedite the exercises but we made it thru to Door 17 before time was called. BTTVF.
Numbers, Names, Announcements (see Slack about SOJ meet up and Currahee CSAUP, Prayer Requests. YHC took us out
Prayers – Dealers’ friend is going thru a tough skin disease with a good portion of his leg affected. Thoughts a prayers to the James River High Schoolers that died Tuesday on Old Gun. Tough thing for families and their friends to go thru.
NMS: YHC has remortgaged his house so his M and 2.0 could vacation in Tampa this weekend to see Taylor Swift. Thought it was a fun idea to listen to interesting workout music playlist crafted by my Taylor Swift obsessed 2.0. Song requests were made but denied, with Machismo really getting into the beats during the really absurd amount of Dirty Hookups. Good times and interesting music was enjoyed by all. Good to have Swamp Donkey back out with us. Thank you gents for joining me on this adventure. Great work.

Tales from the West
A quartet of Forge faithful fought of the fart sack to embrace the sunny and 70 conditions that awaited us at Huguenot High School. Pleasantries were exchanged and stories were told but here is what will be recorded in history.
Mosey down to the cul-de-sac for introductions and legal requirements followed by a warm up that consisted of the following: DQ’s, Helis, Dead Man Hang, Jazzercise, Ukrainian Soldiers, Imperial Walkers, LBC’s, Suzanne Summers among others. All seemed good with no stragglers, let us begin.
Lindsay back up to the tennis courts (brocode style). Exercises included Shoulder Taps (2-count) and dying cockroaches. Mosey through the tennis courts to Machismo Gate and onto the plush turf fields to complete the Lindsay.
Super Dora: Partner up in the endzone. 1 person runs to the 50 yard line and back, while the other completes the following exercises: 100 merkins, 200 squats, 300 LBC’s, 400 APD. At each exchange 5 booyah merkins are required.
Mosey back through the gates and BTTVF. Quick rest stop for some squats and calf raises. Circle up for quick merkin ring of fire followed by some leg raises.
Numbers, Names, Prayers, Announcements. YHC took us out.
NMS: YHC saw the Q was open as of yesterday and decided to jump on it in order to avoid Mt. Chaplain. Good to have Wedding Singer and Snuff back from their spring break travels while on limited rest. Good tales from their respective trips stirred some good mumble chatter throughout the morning. Humidity was intense and the booyah merkins were no joke. Thank you fellas for joining in the fun.

Hate a Snuff Q
A lucky 7 Forgers converged onto the Forge to see what Snuff had planned for the back side of his 1 and 1 Q’s. No prior Forgecast led to a Snuffless start. No flare box emerged but conditions were ideal, Sunny and 70 so Hot Potato was called with YHC starting us off.
Last Call Q: Short, slow mosey down the drive past the toxic waste to the turnaround at the end. Salutations and greetings commenced, followed by the following warm ups. Invisible Jump rope, DQ’s, Dead Man Hang, Heli’s and Jazzercise. Mosey out of the cul de sac for a quick light pole 11’s. 10 2-count shoulder taps followed by 1 2-count Peter Parkers. Mosey to the next light pole, 9 & 2…..finish up at Tennis Courts. Pass the lead …..
Dealer Q: After a quick coupon check only to find 2 cabers onsite led to a quick change of plans. Bear crawl 1/2 up the ramp, 25 jerkins (brutal), Reverse Crabwalk remaining 1/2 up the ramp (looked brutal). Ticket Booth Triple Check. Timer runs the loop, another planks, another wall sits. Merkins were an optional add on if desired. Pass the lead…..
Machismo Q: Mosey thru the open Ticket Booth Gate to the lush turf Forge Fields for a Beast Lite. Almost as refreshing as the full flavored Beast but 1/2 the calories. 3 rounds were completed involving Burpees, WWII’s and SSH’s. Mosey back with a quick snake tour of the bleachers. BTTVF for numbers, names, announcements. Chaplain took us out.
Announcements:
Oysters May/May not be buying lunch this afternoon: Wongs Tacos Midlothian @ 11.45
Breaking Bread: See Q sheet to sign up for April and beyond to help feed 10-15 at the Men’s Shelter. Get the family involved as we are now serving again.
NMS: The absence of the Forgecast last night gave thought there might be a wandering Q this morning. Plenty of good mumble chatter through out the day. Between shoulder taps, bear crawls and a Beast Lite, shoulders are burned. Good to have Showcase join us again before he heads home to Bristol, come back anytime or invite open for the PAX to venture to F3 Bristol for a lovely, flat AO. Hot Potatoe Q’s are always a welcome adventure, just brutal to lead a Beast with Burpees. Well done gents.

The Pandaverse
Someone’s gotta celebrate National Panda Day, and that someone was us. 5 bumbling bears jacked into their Tron headsets and entered the meatverse. Not the metaverse, because no one burns calories there, but the meatverse. You know, reality.
Warmarama while listening to the Tron Legacy soundtrack because Daft Punk is excellent. SSHs, DQs, imperial squat walkers, etc. Of course, no one but YHC has seen the movie. Your loss.
Mosey to the arena where we performed the Cinco de Cheqo. Timer box jumps the big stairs, up and around. Others do flutter, kicks, squats, Carolina dry docks and WW2s. The full 5 rounds.
Lots of great mumble chatter about the good ol days of being idiot teenagers, and how technology has allowed our own teenagers to ascend to new levels of idiocy. Laughs were had by all.
Mosey back to the flag where we did finally do some actual panda stuff. Crawl one parking space, ascending mirkins at each line, all the way up to the 10th line and 10 mirkins. Run it back with lunges and double count ball dippers up to 10 for that last burnout.
Shoutout to Showcase for posting again on your work trip, so glad to have at least one authority figure around with these knuckleheads.
COT and prayers for gratitude.

Burpee Sandwich
7 roughnecks played 7 of Diamonds dealt by Dealer and enjoyed a burpee sandwich for dessert (Last Call’s favorite).
COP – Mosey to tennis courts for a mish-mash of side straddle hops, Ukrainian soldiers, dead man hangs, merkans, WWIIs with a few others. Eagle eye Machismo spotted Hardywood and Don Draper a quarter-mile away at the top lot and cat whistled for them to join us.
THE THANG – Played 7 of Diamonds on the plush turf football fields to protect our soft hands and old backs. 7 rounds of exercises done at each of the four corners of the diamond. Rounds 1-4 increase reps by 7; rounds 5-7 decrease reps by 7. For the first round, we did 7 burpees at each of the 4 corners with a mosey in between corners. Rd. 2 – 14 WWIIs at each corner with a mosey in between. Rd. 3 – 21 merkans at each corner. Rd. 4 – 28 squats…Rd. 5 21 mountain climbers 2-count…Rd. 6 14 LBCs…and finally Rd. 7 7 burpees hence the burpee sandwich.
Moseyed to ramp to practice a slice of Old Glory in honor of Dr. Try Hard (DTH) who is practicing good halfway around the world. Bear crawled halfway up ramp; lunged second half of ramp; 20 jerkins at top. Threw in 5 more burpees for good luck and mounted a 1-minute offensive on a coupon Machismo had in tow (work trailer).
Numberama, namerama, announcements (Diamond Billards tomorrow at 5/530 PM) for beers, pool, and fellowship. Prayed for Machismo’s growing business, DTH’s mission, and generally showing up well on all paths we walk.
