It was 18 with 5″ of snow on the ground and sleeting, but the “feels like” was 70 and sunny. PAX hit the Northbank, straight across Belle Ilse to Buttermilk and back. Virgin snow on Northbank. PAX passed one surprised runner on the Belle Ilse footbridge. PAX traced his footprints on the Buttermilk, and presumably he traced ours on Northbank.
Mumblechatter was sparse because YHC couldn’t hear through all the layers and well, it was “tough sledding”. But the mumblechatter was solid (e.g., connections to Sippy’s M’s previous job). YHC looks forward to reminiscing over this run with Sippy!
YHC rolled into ETs at 9:25. The other PAX must have headed home already, but they left some of Saturday’s (maybe last Saturday’s?) muffins behind.
On the way home, YHC moved to the deep powder on the side of Patterson to allow a car to use the tire tracks. A driver rolled down the window to reveal a woman in a short-sleeved shirt who yelled, “You’re not supposed to….” YHC spent the rest of the run home trying to imagine what in the world could be the end to that sentence!
Other PAX can stop reading now. The rest are YHC’s notes on packing/planning/etc..
