    MOLESKIN

The PAX hoped to raise a glass to Gypsy but the allure of the fartsack or perhaps wedding day jitters kept him away.  Alas, maybe we can roast, I mean toast, Pinto when the time comes.  As the darkness lingers, it seemed like a great day to go through the park, makes sense to YHC.  No one got lost enough that they didn’t make it back.

    MOLESKIN

Today was meant to celebrate how the last 11 years of F3 has challenged us, molded us, and called each one of us to be the men and leaders we are designed to be.  Gents, it’s been a pleasure to serve the men of F3 RVA.  If I’ve made a tiny fraction of the impact that this PAX makes on me daily, then I’ll call my time as 1st F Q a success.  I humbly hand the reins over to Handshake for some fresh ideas and renewed enthusiasm.  As we enjoyed some 2nd F, we honored and perhaps roasted some of the finest men F3 RVA has to offer.

    Awards and acknowledgments were:

  • Currahee PR?

Mr. Rogers put out a Q APB last night, YHC responded….this morning.

    Here’s where we traveled:

    • Exit Godwin via path to Maremont
    • R on Raintree
    • R on Cherrywood
    • L on Cedarbluff
    • L on Waltham and continue on Chauncey back to Raintree
    • L on Falconbridge
    • R on Pump
    • Add laps of Godwin or other add-ins as desired

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

New faces at Currahee as a byproduct of the Circus circus of late.  Someone asked if this was an AO PR.  It is in fact the 2nd biggest Currahee turnout, bested only by the PAX of 16 or 18 two weeks ago.  Apparently, a distant memory either way, and those figures remain unaudited.  Today’s numbers are official in my expert paid opinion.  Trust me, I’m certified.

  • Professional Hour?

Five runners, six professionals, and 4 amateurs set off toward the Carillon and other parts unknown.

    The Routes

    Runners – Reverse Carillon

Pros – T-Pot, War Memorial, elsewhere

Amateurs – Carillon, Burpee Lake, Insect Hell

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

The real gearheads seemed surprised to find 3 schlubs ready to cruise.  Bone joined a bit late to make four.  The schlubs were cruising too, at least until they circled Burpee Lake and passed through the 3rd and 4th plagues of Eqypt.  No less than 268 Gnats were swallowed per man.  Nevertheless all made it back safely.  The amateurs covered 7.42 miles, the runners 5-6, and rumor has it the pros went about 14.

A lot of commentary on Splinter’s new mode of transportation.  Seems like jealousy to YHC.  Someone asked if it took premium gasoline to which Handshake commented, “that thing doesn’t take gas, it runs on sunshine and rainbows.”  That may be true.  Proceed with caution if you find yourself at the intersection of Ross and Culpepper, nasty.  YHC is sure we did 2000 of something today, perhaps we ran that many meters.

    MOLESKIN

During the Ark Loader, YHC was asked which Bear would win a fight, Polar or Grizzly.  While a Polar Bear is bigger and stronger and would likely have an advantage on its home turf, a Grizzly is a more experienced fighter, has longer claws, and excels in striking and jiu-jitsu.  A Grizzly would have a significant advantage outside of the Polar Bear’s natural habitat due to the Polar Bear’s lack of warm climate conditioning.  YHC thinks it is safe to say the Grizzly would win that one, but both would die a quick painful death at the hands of Chuck Norris.
