  • TYA will not respond to this Back Blast

  • Hitting The Rim Around Mary

A magnificent 10 took a tour of the neatly trimmed landscapes outside the perimeter of Mary Munford. This is what transpired, more or less:

Run to Windsor Farms with intermittent stops for Merkins and WWII’s

Red Barshetta: Run out and back 4 times with stop for each of the following: 100 M-Climbers, 75 LBC’s, 50 Hello Dollies (Esther Williams Style), 25 Merkins

Field near Baptist church: Lindsays….30/10. Flutter Kicks and Hello Dollies

Run to next church…Box Cutters and Merkins along the way

Crawl across and back parking lot: Alternating Bear Crawls, Crawl Bears, Crab Walks along the way.

Catch me if you can: Partner runs backwards while other partner does 5 merkins…catch and swap.

Run Bank to flag, with several stops for Merkins and WWII’s along the way.

    Moleskin:

YHC was informed that this was a keep-checking-the-time workout. Either because the PAX was bored or wishing it would just end early.

Esther Williams on the back of the TV guide…nostalgia.

Best wishes to Upchuck’s mother in law who is dealing with a serious heal issue and prognosis.

  • My Henrico Light Tour

A dirty dozen descended upon the U of R basin to take in a holiday light tour by way of the Mt Henrico. Distances ranged from 4, 5, and 6 miles…7 miles if you are equipped with Faceplant’s knowledge of RVA residential road signage.

A hearty welcome to our FNG Mad Dog.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

  • Gerry Friendly Mary

7 surly gents and one geriatric descended upon a frigid Mary to see what she had in store. This is what transpired more or less:

COP: Helicopters, DQ’s, Russian Soldiers, and Scorpion Kicks (all Gerry-friendly)

Solo Doras: 100 Merkins, 200 LBC’s, 300 Flutter Kicks. Run out and back(wards) across court after each 100.

Track run/WWII’s/Jump Squats: (It was a cluster. YHC didn’t explain it well during the workout nor will he attempt to explain it here…)

Partner up: Alternating incline merkins and Derkins while partner runs out and performs 15 dips. 3 rounds each.

Finish: A few minutes of Mary.

A Lab-Rat-esque apology for the track-triple-check. The numbers did not work well nor did the Q who attempted to explain it.

  • So much for active listening…

A dirty dozen descended upon U of R to see what happens when the Q-sheet is left open. YHC chose his favorite, fabled 5 fingers route.

Although I counted 3 who covered the route exactly as prescribed, I learned something today…it doesn’t matter the order of the fingers – just that you get them all in.

    Great work today fellas.

  • Downright Perfect…

3 took advantage of cool and cloudy weather and tackled a Wednesday evening run. Differing routes ranging from 4 and 5 miles.

GMILFs were complimentary of those who were shirtless (we knew it was all directed at Swirly…)

  • No Q, then Splits for You

17 runners. Out across the Huguenot bridge then head East. 23m out and 22 back…(give or take).

  • Snake River – Arid Version

About 20 ran the most recent version of Snake River amid one of the driest Septembers on record. This route includes some challenging elevation…

Run to Granite, head south toward Cary then cross on Tempsford lane. Road forks. 4’s run each fork (down and back) then return. 4’s and 5’s run each fork twice. 6’s return by crossing Grove to Patterson then return on Westhamption
