    A baker’s dozen showed for Spider Run on a semi-brisk and clear starry-skied morning. Marv stated that the 6 (ish)-route could have been the widest loop yet on Spider Run… you be the judge…

  • Gerry Meandering…

    A formidable 15 descended upon Mary to see what geriatric-friendly workout would be dispensed. After paying homage to the Esther Williams and the Land O Lakes butter lady, the pax partook in the following:

    • Run out and back stopping for burpees while partner performs rotation of dips, derkins,and incline merkins.
    • Triple check: balls to wall, WWIIs, Bernie out and run back
    • Descending Dora’s: LBC’s (300), Flutters (200 2-count), Merkins (100)
    • Courts: Bear Crawls, Crab Walks, Polar Bears, Crawl Bears…stopping in between the course for a few minutes of Mary (abs)
    • Finish with some burpees

    NMS: This is the most extensive BB YHC has composed in a long time given no one reads these. Why the change in heart you ask?, it is because Splinter guilted me into it.

    …posted to Mary expecting a geriatric friendly Q.  What they received was a reasonable beatdown that YHC will probably regret later…

    • COP:  B-Lickers were included
    • Doras (FULL):  Each person does the full suite of Doras – with a partner but on their own with the count.  Merkins, LBC’s, Dollys
    • Triple Check:  B-to-Wall, bear crawl to WWII’s, run out and bernie-back.
    • 7 minutes of Mary (Abs of course)
    • Suicides, bear crawls, crabwalks, Bernie-Bears (aka crawl bears)
    • Ring of Fire

    Not much mumble chatter which YHC will chalk off to a fair amount of intensity in the workout.

    11 or so ran/walked/skipped through various distances ranging from 4 to 6 miles….

    NMS: Pickleball is still a thing. Apparently it is possible to have never picked up a pickle-paddle and still participate in the end of season tournament. Run – don’t walk – to Batteau for a Richmond-esque version of olympic-level competition.

    Swirly gets an anal-probe and gives the cologuard box spokesperson a deserved day off….

    A gentlemenly six pack arrived at Mary to witness a tale of two Gerrys. There was an abundance of banter coupled with a variety of physical challenges suitable for all age ranges and abilities.

    Apparently Big Data is still a thing, and one can watch their statistics steadily increase in real-time from the comfort of their couch, no workout necessary. You can thank Splinter and his side-hobby for this one.
