Seven dad’s linked up to ruck for an hour. No, there was not a particular route planned, and No, the route shape doesn’t mean anything (though Purple Rain suggested Human Caterpillar). Many fine topics were discussed. Prayers for NTB’s upcoming babymoon trip to Cali and for all the families launching into a new school year. Yours, DTH

NMS: The tour pays off with a WestHo clown car bringing the fun to TwinTeam this morning. The Catch Me Dora is YHC’s second novel routine for the week – and turned out to be an excellent chatter-friendly way to get to the top of TT. Handshake’s knowledge of local public school history is staggering. Mr Roger’s words of wisdom are always welcome. Appreciate you guys permitting me the honor to lead today! Yours AYE! ~DTH
A handsome septet of FW regulars welcomed this SOJ tourist into their lively gloom chatter, everyone anticipating something challenging and fresh, which is of course the Tryhard motto. Here’s how they (miraculously) earned ZERO burpees:

THE WESTHAM EXICON ABC’s:
YHC mosey’d the PAX over to the entrance of Westham Parkway and explained this morning’s novel shenanigans would be to complete x20 reps for each letter of the alphabet as the PAX runs to the end of the parkway and back, periodically stopping for each letter/reps (while expertly avoiding getting run over). Having not pre-planned the exercises, the PAX was advised their help may be needed, as there would be a x10 Burpee penalty for any letter we could not match up with an exercise.
All letters successfully paired with exercises, maybe a little over half called in candence, so NO burpees!

NMS: Not dissimilar to the sweatfest of the F3 Beatdown Deck, this high rep and movement combo turned out to be a solid beatdown. As a relatively simple challenge that keeps the PAX together well, YHC imagines this could be easily completed at any AO in a pinch. Twill be added to YHC’s personal battery of beatdown options! Also amazing resilience of the FW gang assisting YHC with a few exercise options to avoid ANY burpees! Also excellent mumble chatter as always with the FW gang. It was suggested since we traveled in the opposite direction of the “Devil’s Taint” perhaps this route could be the “Angel’s Eyebrow” (or some other body part …YHC can’t actually recall, but it came from the murky depths of Handshake’s mind, so who knows). Great Coffeerama with Upchuck and some others at Starbucks. As always, appreciate ya’ll permitting YHC the honor to lead. Yours AYE! ~DTH
A swarthy six accepted the F3 challenge at this year’s Henderson Cousin Camp at the Maryland family farm on the Choptank River. Sun blazing, cornstalk waving, dragonflies buzzing, and a few bald eagles and ospreys riding the steady breeze off the river, here’s how these champs started the day:

Prayer Requests:
Safe travels home
NMS: Twas a beautiful Eastern Shore morn after a cleansing week of rain. Glad to have time with siblings at the old family farm near Easton MD, with lots of cousin play time for our kids. YHC was craving a solid beatdown and a handful of game recruits were glad to jump aboard the pain train. Brother Flint brought along his beautiful girlfriend Rebecca to our family weekend and she boldly accepted the F3 challenge – while many nicknames (Tinder! Haha) were mentioned, the PAX ultimately agreed the nickname STEEL was apt for all the sparks flying between Flint & Steel (and she builds homes for underserved populations). To honor our Credo YHC kept the overall beatdown to an acceptable moderation, and just added weight carrying others whenever the pax were slower going. As always, grateful for the opportunity to lead and bring the light and love of F3 into new circles. Unless next time, yours AYE! ~DTH
Starring in YHC’s new F3 advertising campaign, Yardsale enthusiastically proclaims “I’ve never sweat this much before at a kettlebell workout. Thank you!” (Yardsale, 06:02, 24 Jul 2024) And thank YOU Daville 1000% humidity – YHC couldn’t have done it without you. As it turns out, the latest craze in riding the DTH melodic metro is the best sweat in RVA:

It’s impossible to deny the dynamite energy and momentum these Bermuda Boys bring to their workouts. You’re putting the rest of RVA to shame, as evidenced in their weak-sauce commentary on Slack. Ya’ll just keep pushing the limits, and we’ll see whether anyone else can catch up before they’re lost too far back in the stagnant depths of “keep it the way it’s always been.” There’s solid road being laid down for anyone who wants to accelerate their hard. SHAKEDOWN took the PAX out in Prayer
NMS: Well that was fun! Great to be back at Mary after a too-long hiatus – YHC was half expecting a Bleeder takeover for Shark Week which has occurred with YHC’s prior years’ Summer tour efforts, but Handshake reassured it’s not shark week. Next only to the King of Mumble Chatter (Hardywood), the TYA/Saab duo comes in as a close second in hilarity – literally nonstop banter and TMI. Awesome to have Patches (down range from Lancaster PA) post for the second day in a row, and he brought an FNG! Upon introductions the FNG said “you can call me Sif” (abbreviation of his last name), which immediately launched TYA into the most amazing STD nicknaming imaginable. It appeared “Clem” (short for Chlamydia) was the top choice, but later with the FNG’s naming at COT it was shared his company sells acoustic ceiling tiles. So while he was nearly named NRC for “Noise Reduction Coefficient”, the nickname POROUS was chosen – welcome brother! In other news, the PAX enjoyed a lovely musical selection, chosen in particular for the high percentage of Respect PAX, and the singalong vibe was strong for all our COP’s. APD’s in the street to “Brandy you’re a fine girl” may have caused some civil unrest in the neighborhood (or a few blushing cougars peeping between window curtains). In the end, the PAX honored YHC crossing the 100-point mark in the Summer Tour with x100 LBC’s, and then also discovered their morning routine had spelled “F3” on YHC’s Garmin map (you can blame OC for the Garmin gift, but it’s such fun!). Thank you as always for permitting YHC the honor to lead. Yours AYE! ~DTH
Four ice-cold gloom warriors posted to WDog but within just a few minutes there remained but a few puddles rapidly evaporating to join the 1000% humidity. Here’s how their true state of being was transformed:

NMS: Enjoyed giving downranger PATCHES a little tour of the AO – he was duly impressed. YHC had something in mind for today that didn’t quite pan out, but thanks to the PAX for following along the rando route and reps covered. Hefting Sandy around for the duration of a bootcamp is no joke. Highly “recommend” ya’ll try bear crawling with a 60 pound sandbag balanced on your spine, your head and neck cranked up holding one end in place – its a lot of fun, I swear. Looking forward to round two with Patches tomorrow at 45MoM. Yours AYE! ~DTH

NMS: Awesome big group of brothers today, and GREAT to have my younger brother Flint (John H) down visiting from Philadelphia. Pretty wild to leave Bon Air in the pouring rain, get to SH where they hadn’t had a single drop, complete a completely dry beatdown, and then return to BA with ongoing pouring rain – hope you Deep South boys get some rain! Special thanks and TClaps for STATE FARM being such a game brother as to embrace the disruption of forfeiting his planned beatdown (which I’m sure would have been awesomely awful) for our inaugural SOJ Ghost Flag Takeover. Shout out to newbie KATNISS getting after it and posting everywhere, and nice to meet LACES OUT (was SO confused when you emerged from the driver’s seat of State Farm’s yellow truck, then we noticed two of the exact same truck.) Also, good to see HUTTON flexing his Summer Tour muscles, and a HAPPY 45th BIRTHDAY to WARBY! In a nod to the summer tour and during a season of seeing what YHC is physically capable of, this was YHC’s 5th Q in a row this week. #6 will be a Ruck tomorrow AM before POOL BOY’s VQ. The PAX weee encouraged this morning to step up and post/Q more, and HEIST challenged everyone to keep headlocking FNG’s – now’s the time!
