    NMS:

A solo Q is tough especially when it’s cold out, thoughts of stopping early, not doing something because its tough and reducing a count all cross your mind from time to time. Beatdowns are not meant to be done solo, that’s what makes F3 such a great resource. Accountability and fellowship keep you focused and push you to be better. Are you better today? I am better because I know that there are guys that will read this BB who were not there with me physically today but because I am accountable to them and because I draw strength from their friendships, YHC was able to do the hard stuff even when nobody was with me.

  • Three Wise Men

YHC is not 100% sure that anything F3 does on a regular basis is wise but 3 men where present at WDog this morning to help YHC gather Intel for Saturdays convergence.

Sitting in the truck at 5:28 YHC was thinking it was going to be a solo beatdown this morning. With seconds on the clock Hitchhiker rolls in and away we mosey to the circle. On the way we notice a car that we do not recognize pulling up next to our cars. Moments later Bodos brings the count to a perfect triple check number.

Mosey to the Triangle for a Triple Check

    BTTF

    NMS:

YHC was glad to see Hitch and Bodos this morning because it would have been really hard to get out of the truck without some accountability partners.

  • Just keep it moving

After multiple days in the teens, 9 Gloom warriors found 32 degrees to be almost balmy as if it where 70 and sunny.

Numbers / Names Greenbow took us out

    NMS:

No Toll has always been one of YHC’s favorite AO’s, not just because of the AO itself but because of the guys that consistently post to it. It was good to see Greenbow out and getting after it again, seeing some of the newer faces that post multiple times per week Mudslide, Heist ,Machismo and House Party to name a few (you guys are awesome), keep posting. Last Call, Snuff and Honeymoon you guys are part of the glue that holds it all together (along with so many guys that couldn’t be here today), I want you to know how much I appreciate this PAX (F3RVA). 9/4/18 was YHC’s first post with F3 and it was at this AO, thanks for letting me Q the last No Toll of the year.

  • Let’s stay dry today

The winds blew in 3 beatdown regulars, the rain has stopped but the streets are definitely wet.

Line up at one side under cover

BTTF Numbers / Names Florence took us out

    NMS:

YHC had a couple different ideas in mind for the Beatdown this morning, due to the wet conditions the better choice was made and we stayed in the dry covered areas of JRHS for the most part. YHC was quite surprised to wake up to warmer weather than what was expected. The wind was a factor but not the main reason to not go into Terrington looking for the grassy side hills (something that would be better left to a dry morning).

  • A walk in the cold rain

2 showed up for a beatdown but YHC asked Heist if he would rather just Ruck and go for a tour of the neighborhood next door to the school. Heist was up for anything but didn’t have a pack, YHC decided to go without the pack as well. Route was across the street on Tomahawk Creek, R on Beaver Brook, L on Fernview, L on Water Beech turn around in the cul-de-sac and back to the school. Head out around the track and back up the back bus lot to the front and side BTTF

    Numbers / Names

    NMS:

A beatdown just isn’t the same when it’s just two people so YHC thought it might be better getting to know Heist a little better and what better way to do that than to take a walk somewhere. Had a great time in the miserable cold rain but I’m looking forward to getting together with Heist and introducing our M’s.

  • Don’t worry, Hutton will keep track of the count

Coming in hot because YHC’s dogs are a pain in the A$$, 10 men of steel have made their way out of the Gloom to muster at Hoedown

Mosey up to the basketball courts to check for ice and do a little COP

DQ’s, Imperial Squat Walkers, Helicopters, LBC’s, Hello Dollies, Rosalitta’s.

Mosey to the other end of the courts

Jack Webb back and forth, on this side of the court do one set of Jack Webb 1 American hammer (2 count) and 4 LBC’s. Run to the other end of the court and do 1 Ball Dipper (2 count) and 4 squats, Repeto until 10 and 40 on both ends. Lots of counting

Mosey walk to the corner by the school for 4 corners prostitute

    10 – American Hammers, 20 – Plank Jacks, 30 – Schrunchy Frogs, 40 – Mountain Climbers

Mosey BTTF for a Ring Of Fire

Numbers / Names Pigskin took us out

    NMS:

A good bit of Mumble Chatter started out the morning but about 3/4’s of the way through the Jack Webb’s it settled down a bit. Last Call mentioned something about making these last 45 minutes but we had the 4 corners and Man Killers on the books. We did get in the 4 corners but the Man Killers will be saved for another day.

  • Don’t mess with my very $ frisbees

It always nice to roll up to an AO to meet some PAX that you haven’t seen in a while or that you have never met. 7 frozen, but dry and moving warriors arrived ready for battle or for whatever YHC had in store for them.

Mosey to the parking lot by the baseball concession stand for COP

DQ’s, Deadman Hangs, Helicopters, Apple Bottom Poppers, LBC’s, Sugar Sticks

Move to corner and get the frisbees out

Lay frisbees out in each parking space at the top side of the lot. Each HIM will start in a different space completing 20 of the exercises labeled on the frisbee then run a lap around the lot. When HIM returns he moves to the right and repeto until he’s done all the exercises.

Move to the side of the Concession stand for a triple check

Partner 1 does Hoedowns, Partner 2 does Smerf Jacks, Partner 3 runs half of the lot

Mosey to the first lot on the other side of the concession stand

Parking lot crawls with your choice Merkins or WWII’s until 10

Mosey down the stairs for another Triple check

Partner 1 does Dips, Partner 2 does Step ups, Partner 3 Box jumps up the stairs runs around and down the stairs. (We found Footloose’s supper power is Box Jumps).

BTTF for a Ring of Fire

Numbers / Names Chaplain took us out

    NMS:

As usual there was a fair amount of running at the Doozy Q. YHC has been trying to limit or tone down the running at his Q’s but it just seems like the right thing to do to keep the PAX moving. Enjoyed a little 2nd F with Florence, Melville and Wet Bandit at Starbucks afterwards.

  • Large 4 corners

At 5:20 YHC had 2 beatdowns in mind depending on who shows up will determine which beating they get. 4 able bodied runners was the total so beatdown #1 is the answer.

Mosey to first lot at JRHS for COP

DQ’s, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Cherry Pickers, Deadman Hangs

Starting at this corner we will do a large 4 corners, second corner being by the Swamp entrance, third corner is BWES playground, 4th corner is BWES main entrance.

After 2 rounds time was running low so PAX did a small 4 corners using the first lot at JRHS

BTTF with a Ring of Fire

Numbers / Names Florence took us out

    NMS:

Reminiscing about the huge 4 corners that Lug Nut did at SOT the PAX discussed (who could do and where it would be) the largest 4 corners workout in the 45 minute time frame. PAX concluded that it would depend on the group run ability, less workout on the corners and AO

  • Just YHC and Hitch talkin family

5:28 and YHC thought WDog was going to be a solo event this day. Just in time to mosey Hitchhiker came out of the Gloom to save the day.

Mosey to the circle for COP

DQ’s, Deadman Hangs, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers

Long mosey to the tennis courts

Four corners prostitute WWII’s, Squats, Sugar Sticks, Calf Raises

Move to the long end of the closest court and run suicides hitting the 3 gaps between the 4 courts and the farthest side line of the last court.

Long mosey back to the flag with 2 or 3 stops for a rest and some run break exercises.

At the flag 100 SSH’s to finish it out

Numbers / Names YHC took us out

    NMS:

I am so glad Hitchhiker showed up, we had a great conversation about kids, school and how to deal with that as a parent. I can barely speak English let alone any other language, T-Claps to Hitch for being a great family leader, Dad, Husband and friend. Thanks for hanging out with me and getting in some 2nd F while we enjoyed the 29 deg, I mean 70 and sunny weather.

  • My count is off? Welcome to the West End

8 not so cold but cold PAX showed up on a 70 and sunny morning in the West End. According to the incredibly fit body builder running the track with no shirt on, this is what happened.

One lap around the parking lot circle up for COP

DQ’s, Helicopters, Deadman Hangs, Cherry Pickers, Imperial Walkers

Lets play the pick a number game. Each HIM picks a number out of a container in turn, PAX does exercise that is on a sheet that YHC has printed. Every 5 picks PAX takes a lap around the parking lot.

Mosey to the nearest corner for a quick 4 corners

    10 – Ball Dippers, 20 – Smerf Jacks, 30 – Squats, 40 – Calf Raises

Circle up for a Ring Of Fire

Your choice 20 – Abs or Merkin exercises

NMS: A little trip to a foreign land this morning where the people speak with strange accents and count in weird numbers. It was good to get out and see some guys that I haven’t seen in a while.
