    NMS:

It has been a minute sense YHC has done a bootcamp Q, it was nice to get back into it. Now that House Party is a runner we have decided that Last Call will be running at our next Home Grown Half. Happy Birthday to Senior Frog and welcome to the respect club.

  • They did run this far

9 Early risers ready for a river run, rumbled out of the fart sack to hit the road. The route was through JRHS parking lots, right on Robious, left on Winterfield to Independence neighborhood try to get to the stop sign or turn around at 22.5 minutes.

BTTF Numbers / Names Chaplain took us out

    NMS:

SOT is developing some real runners, YHC turned around just shy of the stop sign (2.83 miles) on Founders not expecting to see anyone until we were all back at the flag. To YHC’s surprise a strong group of runners was coming down the hill on Founders. House Party, Lone Wolf, L Woods, Chaplain and Pacer had made it to the 2.5 mile mark and turned around to head BTTF. YHC had miscalculated the milage for the Independence run thinking the 4 mile route would be to the stop sign and back which actually ended up being just over 5 miles

  • Forgot I was the Q

4 Runners out for a slow easy run

Lets do the fish bowl, then put in a lap around Mines lake, and add a lap around Midlo middle school track oh and for good measure one more time up Mount Midlo.

    Numbers / Names

NMS: YHC didn’t write the BB because as the title says he forgot he was the Q, senility is setting in.

  • Surprise!! guess who’s the Q?

90% of the 8 men that made it to Curahee this morning assumed that YHC would be the SOJ rep to Q the run and they were correct. It was pointed out that if you are a regular at that AO, you technically shouldn’t be allowed to Q it as a takeover.

5:30 lets roll, Right on Pump, left to Dunkin, Right on Glen Eagles and up the big hill

YHC had no real plan except that I wanted to start with that hill. After some discussion with Mr Rogers and Light House about what could be added to the route YHC decided to cut through the apartments get on Pump to Broad and then come back down John Rolfe. However when YHC got close to Broad I realized I was already on John Rolfe (not Pump) so instead of going right I had to go left. Once YHC got on to Pump I saw Mr Rogers and Light House coming from the park and we all headed BTTF

Numbers / Names Mr Rogers took us out

NMS: So ends a week of Q’ing runs for the SOJ takeover, if Atlee wasn’t a 40 minute drive for YHC I would probably make it to those runs at least once a week. I encourage each one of you guys to get out and see as many new AO’s as you can or visit ones you haven’t been to in a while.

  • Could be 4, could be 5

Apparently 9 is the magic number for the Atlee area PAX when Doozy shows up to Q a run. Luckily Phonics was there once again to show me around.

Left on Combs, left on Atlee, to the stop light u-turn, to the road that goes around Atlee, back to Combs. into Cool Spring neighborhood for a loop, left on Combs

BTTF Numbers / Names Phonics took us out

NMS: YHC had an idea for a route but had no idea how far it would take us or if the roads where good for running on. Phonics was there once again to show YHC the way.

  • Getting old sucks

3 runners met up with 1 boot-camper at 5:30 we went our separate ways and according to the power walkers this is what happened to the runners.

After the initial cracks and pops of ligaments, tendons and joints a steady pace was settled into. The route was Left on Coalfield, Right on Woolridge, Left on Charter Colony turn back when you feel its time.

BTTF Numbers / Names DD took us out

NMS: MOT has so many great options this route is one of my favorites but it does have more uphill on the way back than on the way out. YHC didn’t quite make it to Timberwolf today but still got almost 6 miles on the books.

  • Saving the best for last

8 locals and 1 SOJ runaway gathered in the Gloom for a run or ruck this morning

According to the early morning walkers this is what happened

5:31 everyone shows up, YHC knew the route would be the neighborhood across the street but YHC just wasn’t 100% sure about what trails we could use to connect streets. Phonics luckily knew the way and was faster than everyone else so he was tasked with being the navigator through the Giles neighborhood. Right about 4.5 miles in Phonics says “we can head BTTF and run a lap around the track or go back through the neighborhood”. He forgot to mention that going through the neighborhood meant a long slow uphill finish that he wanted to run a 6.40 pace on. ?? what ??

BTTF Numbers / Names Opus (the designated prayer warrior) took us out

NMS: Thanks to Corn Beef for making sure someone would be able to point YHC in the right direction and thanks to Phonics for being my tour guide. Also thanks to Offshore for rolling in early and helping set my mind at ease, I knew then that I wouldn’t be running alone.

  • Magic Mile, No Thank You

5 speed walkers gathered at MOT to see if Heist really would wear his Magic Mike outfit. 5:30 No Heist, No Magic Mile. The route was Waldon Park to Queens Gate through the trail to The Grove up the hill now call “Sonna Bitch” onto Charter Colony BTTF

Numbers / Names and OC took us out

NMS: YHC did intervals on Tuesday and had already planned to do a longer run for Wednesday so the mumble chatter of the Magic Mile was not something I was looking forward to and Heist in a Magic Mike scenario just made it worse.

  • Just watchin Heist do Burpees

9 professional athletes or at least semi pro athletes showed up to see what Doozy had in store for this morning at Timberwolf.

Mosey to the tennis court for COP

DQ’s, Helicopters, Dead Man Hangs, Imperial Walkers, Ukrainian Soldiers, Sugar Sticks (for OC), LBC’s, Merkins

Mosey to the side of school

    Frisbee Burpee Golf

A target (hole) is picked, everyone throws a frisbee in that direction and does one burpee. Each shot you take is the number of burpees you do. If your frisbee is caught you do 5 penalty burpees plus the number of burpees for your shot. If you try to catch some ones frisbee and it hits your hand but you miss it, you do 5 burpees.

About 7 rounds where played, some short, some long

BTTF and 1 Merkin ring of fire (10 of your favorite Merkins)

Numbers / Names Heist took us out

NMS: Now that it is light enough to see at the start, it seemed like a good time to get the frisbees back out. Heist always seemed to be the last one making the shot to finish the round but it wasn’t because he sucked at frisbee golf. Heist may have been the only one doing perfect form burpees regardless of the number he was on. As always it was a good time had by all, SYITG

  • Happy accident

It’s really a simple route, you can’t get lost because it’s an out and back.

    Wrong

The route was supposed to be Midlo to Charter Colony to the turn around at Timberwolf or 22.5 minutes whichever comes first.

YHC made an early turn at Coalfield instead, the happy accident was that Coalfield provides a sidewalk where Charter Colony makes you battle vehicles for the first .5 miles before connecting to a sidewalk.

The PAX did connect back to Coalfield via 688, everyone turned around at the 22.5 minute mark. YHC ended up with 5 miles total

NMS: Good morning getting a chance to learn a little bit about Lurch while running. Thanks to all the PAX for birthday wishes.
