  • No GPS, No problem

8 runners made their way to Curahee with YHC on the Q sheet, everyone seemed slightly amused at thinking how YHC was going to get lost on his own Q. However YHC already planned ahead and had decided to use the Navy’s K.I.S.S. principle, so run up Pump to Ridgefield take a left out and back, turn around at about the 22.5 minute mark.

BTTF Numbers / Names Handshake took us out

    NMS:

YHC signed up for the Q thinking that I have done enough Curahee runs that I should have a good idea for a route but the other routes YHC was thinking of might have been a bit much to keep it under 45 minutes. Thanks for letting me lead this on this morning guys, next time I will try the extended route.

  • Make up your mind as you run

YHC had big plans to run from MOT to Timberwolf which is 6 miles +/- but with only 3 runners this morning an audible was called and we decided (well YHC decided, Rosie just agreed) on a fast paced run through Walton Park. Even as we headed down Walton Park Rd we were trying to decide if we should cut back through Watch Hill and make it a 4 miler or keep going and get in the 5 miler.

Midlothian TPKE to Woolridge, Left on Walton Park Rd to the T, Right on the rolling hills of Queensgate, Right on Coalfield and BTTF. 5 miles +/- YHC started his watch around the .75 mile mark so Rosie has the actual numbers. Pace was between 7:30 and 7:40 somewhere.

Wedding Singer hit Queensgate and turned BTTF for what I’m guessing would have been 3.5 or 4 miles

Numbers / Names OC took us out

    NMS:

YHC loves the rolling hills of Queensgate and it’s always good to have a friend like Rosie to keep you company while you’re putting in the miles.

  • Pre-Scout the AO?????

10 Burpee eating machines made their way out of the heated cars to see what was on todays agenda. Just as our COP was ending Face Plant made it 11. According to School administration this is what may or may not have happened.

Mosey up to the play area for COP

SSH’s, one Burpee (OYO), DQ’s, two Burpees (OYO), Helicopters, three Burpees (OYO), Imperial Walkers, four Burpees (OYO), WWII, (Oyster made us do 10 Burpees OYO), Rosalitta’s, Hello Dollies and American Hammers

Mosey to the church parking lot

    Four corners #1 10 – Hand Release Merkins, 20 – Merkins, 30 – Shoulder Taps, 40 – Squats

    Four corners #2 10 – Schrunchy Frogs, 20 – American Hammers, 30 – Sugar Sticks, 40 – Jump squats

    Four corners #3 10 – squats, 20 – Toe Taps, 30 – Jump Squats, 40 – Ball Dippers

Mosey to the front of the school

11’s – 1 Incline Merkin run to parking lot 10 Schrunchy Frogs so on and so forth

BTTF (Face Plant needs to get some Burpees in) 10 Burpees OYO

Numbers / Names Oyster took us out

    NMS:

YHC only had half a plan when he got to the AO this morning but one thing he did plan was four corners around the church. Unaware that there was construction going on that prevented safe passage around the church a reroute was in order and a solution was presented. Oyster loves Burpees so much that he didn’t want his friend Face Plant to miss out on his share, so YHC was forced to grant 10 Burpees OYO at the end of the beatdown.

  • House Party’s Yappin Again

4 runners met at BWES but decided to slow it down to a Ruck, according to the dog walkers this is how it went.

OG River Run route, from BWES circle in front of JRHS out to Robious left into River Downs, left up the big hill. Right on River Downs back to Robious and pass the Schools again.

4 Plus miles (YHC forgot to set his watch on time) House Party kept the official Milage

Numbers / Names Chaplain took us out (NTB took us out a second time)

    NMS:

Title of this BB comes from how overly talkative House Party often is 😁 YHC thinks it’s probably because NTB and I Yap most of the time. Lots of good conversation this morning, no we didn’t salve all the worlds problems (or any) but we got to know each other just a little bit more. 16 degrees is just stupid, looking forward to 90 with 80% RH

  • I’m not going to puke!!!

4 Well bundled, half frozen HIM left from the parking lot to head down the hill. NTB rolled in hot so the 4 stopped to stretch the legs while he made his way to join.

At the end of the road circle up for the COP, SSH, DQ’s (Snuff arrives) Helicopters, some not so tuff exercise I saw on the internet, Imperial walkers, Merkins, Mountain Climbers, Burpees

Mosey walk the the first light pole

Bear crawl to the next pole, Crawl Bear to the next pole, Lunge to the next pole, Backwards Lunge to the next pole, Murder Gorilla’s (on the right side) to the next pole, Murder Gorilla’s (left side) to the next pole, High knees to the next pole, Butt kickers to the last pole

Starting at the bottom of the ramp get in a line 1st person does 3 burpees then crosses under the hand rail back and forth, person two does 3 Burpees and follows, all the way to the top.

Mosey walk to the ticket sales booth for a Triple check

Partner 1 does Wall Sits, Partner 2 does Dips, Partner 3 runs to the stairs does Tooth Fairies to the top and back

Mosey to the bottom of Mount Chaplain for 11’s using the hill

1 Jump Squat at the bottom, Bernie up, 10 Ball Dippers (single count) run back down

From the top of the first hill we stopped at each curb for an exercise as we made our way BTTF as we ran back Wedding Singer joins in

Numbers / Names Doublemint took us out

    NMS:

The title of this BB brought to you by Dealer who said “I kept telling myself, I’m not going to puke” in reference to the 11’s on the bottom hill. YHC has no idea what the actual temperature was this morning but as cold as it was, it was less cold than yesterday. 14 degrees is stupid low.

  • Way to do HARD things!!!!

4 Boot Campers and a lot of runners tethered themselves to each other so the wind wouldn’t take one away. According to the weather channel this is what went down:

Mosey down the back hill looking to get out of the wind and into a dry spot for the COP

On the track side of the concession stand under cover was a dry spot but it made somewhat of a wind tunnel. COP anyway

Helicopters, DQ’s, Dead Man Hangs, Imperial Walkers, LBC’s, Hello Dolly, Rosalita’s

Mosey to the other side of the building to the bottom of the hill

11’s – Bernie to the top for 1 Jump Squat run down for 10 Ball Dippers (2 Coount)

Mosey Lung up the hill (half way), Karen style power walk to the top and mosey to the front of the school

11’s – 1 (NEW THING) Ball Busting Burpees run to the curb for 10 Incline Merkins

Time called to get some abs in BTTF

American Hammers, Toe Touchers, Schrunchy Frogs

Numbers / Names House Party took us out

    NMS:

YHC had planned to do a full beatdown of 11’s but what exercises was still unknown. Until last night when YHC got a stupid idea, why not combine burpees and Balls to the wall? Looks good on paper, right? The first one or two are not bad then things got hard. The PAX pushed through but decided Ball Busting Burpees are stupid, we will see them again.

    Keep doing hard things!!!!

  • Ye Olde Ball & Chain

8 new year, new you advocates posted to see what Doozy would have cooked up to start 2024 with.

Mosey to the bridge to pay our Toll 20 Dips, 20 Incline Merkins

Mosey to the tennis courts for COP – DQ’s, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Dead Man Hangs, SSH

Mosey to the parking lot out around the back right corner around the Soccer field, pass the pavilion back to the parking lot.

10 Parking spaces have an exercises written in them with a medicine ball and logging chain in the middle space. Every PAX starts at a different space does 20 of that exercises and then runs a lap always moving to the next space on the right. once you complete the far right end and after your lap you go to the far left end. When you get to the space with the ball and chain choose one and take a lap.

Numbers / Names Machismo took us out

BTTF for 1 minute of Schrunchy Frogs IC

    NMS:

YHC hadn’t brought the Ball & Chain out in a while so this seamed like a good time to get back at it. There is a good bit of running that goes with this beatdown but I think the PAX handled it well. The way to set it up is to make it hard enough that not everyone will complete all the spaces but that a couple PAX will.

  • I sense a pattern

1 dozen pop cycles emerged from the Gloom to see what Doozy was warming up

Mosey to the bridge and pay your toll 20 Dips, 20 Incline merkins

Mosey BTTF for a quick Scrunchy Frogs IC, 20 American Hammers IC

Numbers / Names NTB took us out

    NMS:

Not 1 Burpee was done this fine morning, it was on the play sheet for another Jack Webb but YHC thought that might be a bit much. It was good to have Sin Bin back out in the Gloom today (as I sit here watching the Red Wings and Blue’s). Next weeks No Toll will prove to be much more well thought out, can’t wait for the 12 days of Christmas.

  • A day that will live in Infamy

10 History buffs made their way to Timberwolf for a Pearl Harbor day History lesson. What they found was that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. YHC had a plan to make todays beatdown all based around numbers from December 7th 1941 however the fartsack called YHC early and the research was left undone.

Mosey to the parking lot DQ’s, 1-Burpee, Helicopters, 2-Burpees, Dead Man Hangs, 3-Burpees, Imperial Walkers, 4-Burpees, WWII & WWI’s, Boberry guessed correctly 10-Burpees

Mosey to the back hill for elevens Bernie up 10 – Squats, Run down 1 (2 Count) Ball Dippers

    Mosey to Light Pole ally

1st light 10 Merkins, run back to the start 2nd light 11 Merkins run back to the start go to 15 Merkins

Repeto with Bernie down and LBC’s run back to the start

    Mosey to tennis courts

Prostitute 4 corners – corner 1 10- American Hammers, corner 2 20- Scrunchy Frogs, corner 3 30- Alabama Prom Dates, corner 4 40- (single count) Peter Parkers

Mosey BTTF Numbers/Names, Chaplain took us out

NMS: YHC does not like the cold and getting dark early sucks, that’s why YHC loves living in Richmond where it’s always Sunny and 70. YHC will start working on a beatdown for December 7th, 2024 (Saturday) that really will live in infamy and will have all kinds of facts about Pearl Harbor 1941.

  • Pick your Route

3 runners gathered to dodge the rain drops or what seamed like it could pass for sleet.

The route was SOT to Timberwolf and back – basically 3.5 miles one way. YHC’s Garman said 6.87 miles total

Don Draper and Greenbow took a slight detour and put in 4 miles

YHC didn’t make it back in time for the COT but got to talk with a few of the guys before heading off into the Gloom.

    NMS:

It was cold and wet, embrace the suck
