  • Upchucks near fatal run in with a lesbian Subaru driver

Seven PAX and one Rucker posted to Dogpile. With no rain after all several pax tried to stay out of the wet grass. Luckily their attempts were thwarted.

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Helicopters, Ukrainian Soldiers, merkins, LBCs, Scorpion Kicks.

Over to other COP cicle for Bermuda triangle: 1st round 15 HRMs, 30 Heels 2Heaven, 45 SSH. 2nd round: 10 Burpees, 20 Reverse Crunch, 30 Squats. Mosey over to Amphitheater; 7 Dips every step on way up. Down – 5 Derkins each step.

Mosey down to Rusty Cage, avoid the snake, and 3 sets of 8 Pullups and 10 Jerkins. Mosey to front of Carrilion and partner up: 3 Rounds of 20 PLTs. Back to COP circle to kill some time with stuff then back to Flag.

YHC took us out. Near perfect attendance at coffee at Libby Market.

NMS: Apparently Oyster pays no heed to road signs at 5:50 in the morning, according to Upchuck. Blank Space was talking up his Q at Dogpile next week, see what AI dials up.

  • Hoedown has some competition for darkest AO now

A punctual 10 PAX gathered in the pitch black parking lot of Heartbreak Ridge. We did

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Ukrainian Soldiers, Merkins, Helicopters, LBCs, Inverse Scorpion kicks. Mosey to truck to grab a coupon and then partner up. Back to front of QMS for partner work. Partner runs to enclosed section and does exercise while other hits reps on the Coupon. 3 Rounds: Presses, Squats, and Swings. Then 3 rounds of Block the Plank to everyone’s enjoyment.

Mosey to covered area for a pole smoker indian run. Head back to the blocks for another round of partner block work. Block Thrusters, Curls, and Boat & Canoe. Another long extended round of Block the Plank then back to drop of coupons and 1 min of Mary with American Hammers.

NMS: All the lights in the parking lot, track, and around the school were off this morning making HBR not as welcoming as usual. No summer tourists as they were scared off by the Q sheet apparently. Atilla was quiet this morning, by his standards. Mumblechatter centered around the absence of Pigskin.

Also if Salt Lick offers you an Acorn, do NOT take it.

  • Hutton has some choice words about your form

A strong PAX of 10 came out to see how moist the AO was at 5 am. The initial mosey had 9 of us with Fudd pulling in as we took off. An attempted silent COP was unsuccessful as Fudd lived up to his namesake and sniffed out the pax.

After the COP was a 4 corners, sans the corners: 15 HRMs, 20 Donkey Kicks, 30 Heels2Heaven, 40 squats. Partner up and retrieve a Coupon from the Truck. Mosey over to Triangle park for 2 rounds of Block the Plank.

After enjoying the lush thickness of the grass mosey to tip of park for Dora 123: 100 Block Thrusters, 200 Block Presses, 300 Squats. Then back to spot for 3 more rounds of Block the Plank.

Mosey back to lot for descending curls and runs. Drop coupons off at 5:45, expedited COT as it really started raining.

NMS: YHC knew it was going to be a fun morning when he woke up to the heavy rain at 3 am. Humidity was 80% and at some point it started raining but PAX couldn’t tell from the sweat. Great to have double digits at FW in a muggy August morning.

  • Soaked shoes and big purchases

Five strong came out to brave the soupy conditions at Hoedown. The veteran PAX tried to distract the Q with questions to delay the start but the timer rang.

COP on blacktop: Normal stuff but no Scorpion Kicks. Over to Alaska on the blacktop for 4 corners: 10 HRMs, 20 Heels2Heave, 30 Flutterkicks, 40 Squats. Repeato with 4 new exercises: 10 Burpees, 20 WWIIs, 30 LBCs, 40 SSH.

Mosey back to the TES soccer field: Triple-ish check. Runner goes and does 8 Pullups, partners do Dips and Wall sits. In the process we cleaned up half the grass clippings with our shoes. Mosey down to the bottom of Lindsey. Stop for some mary then start making way back up. Cars on the right exercises of 20, cars on left 5 Burpees.

Once back at the top mosey to the flag for 3 min of Mary.

NMS: Splinter and YHC were discussing driving over to StCC at 5:28 when it was just the two of us. 5:29 and 3 more cars roll in so off we went. During the 4 corners Oyster shared that he just bought a boat after being on the waitlist at Swift Creek for 15 years. You and Handshake can commiserate on the ups and downs of boat ownership.

The PAX loved the lush wet grass on the TES field. The humidity back there was no joke. Enjoy it while the summer is here before it soon becomes F3RVAs darkest AO soon again.

  • The First annual-Inaugural Deliverance without Kubota

A fiesty foursome made it to the James to keep the tradition of First Watch paddle alive. 3 Kayakers and 1 Paddleboarder took to the water for a solid trip up and back. COT was moved to Starbucks with perfect coffee attendance.

NMS: Weather couldn’t have been better this morning with 60 degrees and a nice breeze. Nobody fell in or capsized.

Surprisingly Bodos is safer on a paddleboard in the river than he is on dry land. With some streaks coming to an end YHC was glad we had 4 out to keep this one going another year. Hopefully Kubota will be back to lead this tradition next summer.

  • What is this? Circus Mary

A group of mostly OGs came out to45MoM on a 70 and Sunny morning. They found a bunch of Coupons already out, all survived the beatdown despite Bodos best efforts to destroy them.

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Imperial Walkers, Helicopters, Merkins, Flutterkicks, Scorpion Kicks.

Mosey back to get the blocks. 2 Rounds of 20 Overhead presses, and 20 Squats. 2nd round increase by 5. Run up the side street and back. 20 Swings and 20 Curls and a 2nd round.

Mosey over to grass by basketball courts and partner up for a Dora: 100 Block Thrusters, 200 presses, 300 Alabama Softball Players. 2 rounds of Blocks the Plank, partner does 5 burpees as timer. Back to the flag for 4 min of Mary. YHC took us out.

NMS: TYA did a bike by 2 min before we started and then went on his way. Gumbo was nice enough to grab his Emergency Kettlebell in his car so we all could be under weight and no need for Coupons sharing. The PAX was quiet for 45MoM standards but it got warm fast. 300 Alabama Softball players took less time than YHC anticipated. Always good to get out and Q at Mary.

  • Schools out, we can play on the field

A bakers dozen came out to HBR to find the Qs truck waiting for them. Several PAX knew what that meant.

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Imperial Walkers, Upright APBs for Offshore, Merkins, LBCs, Scorpion kicks

Mosey back to YHCs truck to partner up and grab a coupon. Head down to the football field with block and partner. First sprint the full field then jog back to get blood flowing

Head down to the football field with block and partner. Dora 123 of: 100 Block Thrusters, 200 Block presses, 300 Alabama Softball players. Stay with your partner for 3 rounds of Block the Plank: Elbow plank with block on the back, partner does 5 burpees. Then switch. 3 rounds.

Mosey to the midfield and split into groups of 3 for a Triple Check: Block swings, Heels2Heaven, and run width of field then back. 2 more rounds of Block the Plank. Head back to flag to deposit Coupons then 3 min of Mary.

Announcements: Summer Tour, D-Day ruck on Thursday evening, update your Emergency contact info on Slack.

NMS: Perfect weather and solid PAX made this one fly by. Mariner posted without his partner in crime Joey Chestnut. Apparently JC texted Mariner at midnight but Mariner did not see as he was sleeping to get up and post this morning. It’s up for debate which young man is doing summer right here…

Several PAX were new to the Alabama Softball Players and Block the Plank exercises. All seemed to love both of them.

  • Death and Taxes

Ten taxpayers came out to pay their due the F3 way:

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Ukrainian Soldiers, Helicopeters, Merkins, LBCs, Scorpion Kicks. Mosey down S Ridge.

Halfway down we start making our way back up the tax brackets, each bracket we went back down to start a the bottom and work through each bracket

    10% Bracket: 10 Merkins

    12% Bracket: 12 Heels 2 Heaven

    22% Bracket: 22 Jump Squats

    24: 24 Carolina Dry Docks

    32: 32 LBCs

    35: 35 Mountain Climbers (2count)

    37: 37 Burpees

Time had to be called during the burpees, most were halfway through.

NMS: Solid work from the PAX taking on all the ups and downs on Ridge this morning. We had the timing almost right as we started on the most painful tax bracket. YHC had some additional block work planned but the truck wouldn’t start this morning, so we will save that for next year. Cause we will do this again next year since the only 2 things in life that are certain.

  • Fudd AND Handshake are here, it must be 5:30

A solid sixteen were looking to get covered in pollen in the Gloom. We did:

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, Flutterkicks, Scorpion kicks. Mosey down to the front of the track, partner up for 3 rounds of 20 PLTs. Head onto the field for a triple check: HRMs, Reverse Crunch, and run width of field & back.

Over to the Jerkin Gym, into groups of 4: Groups will have two PAX do 10 Jerkins each, while other 2 wheelbarrow back & forth. Switch when 1st group finishes their Jerkins. Repeato x3.

Over to the benches for everyone’s favorite, Benchkicks. 4 sets of 30 BKs and 10 Derkins. Mosey back up to blacktop. Lunge length of lot and do a Burpee each parking spot. Head back same lunge but do 5 Jumpsquats. 2 min of mary and done.

NMS: Offshore shared in the COT that he is taking a position at OU in Normal, OK and will be moving this summer. Sounds like there is a small F3 presence in Norman but we’re sure he will help them grow once he gets out there.

YHC was volun-told to Q this morning thanks to Handshake. A good nudge to get out.

  • Don’t pack up your cold weather gloves just yet

A dedicated dozen, of the bakers variety, fought their way through debris from last night’s storm to post at HBR. We did:

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Helicopters, Ukrainian soldiers, Merkins, LBCs, Scorpion kicks. Mosey down to the end of the track for 2 rounds of 25 PLTs. Then over to the football field for a Beast: Merkins, WWIIs, Squats, HRMs, Jump Squats, Crunchy frogs.

Over to the Jerkin Gym only for the PAX to say it was too soggy. Instead over to benches for 3 rounds of: 30 Benchkicks, 15 Derkins. Mosey back to the parking lot. 2 rounds of sprints across the lot and back. Back to the Flag for 2 min of Mary then YHC took us out.

NMS: Several PAX posted even though they were without power this morning, way to wake up in the Gloom. Lots of whining about getting wet on the football field. Then everyone was treated with a wet ass stuck to the frosty benches on the benchkicks.

Pinto showed his dedication by waking his M up to cut up a tree that fell just so he could get to HBR this morning. Knowing his record with chainsaws that is impressive.
