  • Who Let the Dogs Out!

Two early risers decided to hit Rockwood Park for some early morning miles. YHC did some rucking while Big Rig did some running. While YHC was solo, Big Rig had his four legged companion with him to join in on his run. I’m sure even with 4 legs, he had a hard time keeping up with Big Rig.

  • Best of Both Worlds

YHC decided to get an early morning start at 5am and do a little running with Big Rig. 6am hits and now its time for some Rucking with Broadway. Great way to start the morning. It was brutal but as always, great fellowship.

  • The importance of a good shoe…

After a brief stretch and strapping on the vest, YHC noticed no other Pax would be joining for the ruck so I audibled to a run with Big Rig. Mumble chatter included our Thanksgiving holiday, football, and how critical it is to have a good, quality shoe when running or rucking. YHC learned the hard way on our 10 mile Ruck for Food. Always enjoy running and catching up with Big Rig. His fitness journey is a great motivator.

  • Ideal Conditions…

One runner and two ruckers rose bright and early to get the juices flowing before Broga and a Ponch beatdown. Weather conditions were ideal considering the recent 30 degree temps. Big Rig got in his early morning miles. Always great to ruck with Mudslide although YHC has to work double time and can still barely keep up.

  • Solo Ruck

YHC started out at about 5:40 with the goal of getting in a couple miles prior to Mudslides Broga. Rockwood had all the lights on at the fields but thought I might hit some of the trails. Thought again after seeing some animals and leaves rustling. Although though the headlamp was in full effect, YHC got a little spooked and decided to get back to the lit path. Still managed 3 miles prior to the beatdown. Sorry to miss Mudslide but he drove another vehicle that I wasn’t familiar with.

  • Just the two of us

Big Rig and YHC took off at 6:00am for a pre-beatdown ruck. We managed to get in about 2 miles before splitting up. While YHC decided to do some stretching, Big Rig decided to do a little extra running. Mubble chatter today was great. Its always nice to catch up and just talk about life.

  • Rucking it is.

After much thought about whether to attend Morning Wood for a ruck or the CSAUP, YHC decided to ruck. Having the use of my legs tomorrow was the deciding factor. The weather was great this morning. Took off at 6:00am and hit the normal paved trail. Finished up just in time for some Woga with Mudslide and Florence.

  • Not what I had in mind

YHC came in hot this morning ready to ruck and was greeted by Chaplain and Big Rig warming up for a run. Although that’s not what I had in mind, YHC decided to audible to a run, which I’m glad I did. Mumble chatter was great and consisted of work, family, and injuries we’ve had over the years. I believe I took the award for the most injuries, Big Rig with the most gruesome, and Chaplain with the award for most likely to avoid getting injured.

  • 2 HIM on a mission

YHC took of at the 6:00am mark for the pre beatdown ruck while Chaplain hit the trails for the 6:30am run. Most times the ruckers and runners would cross paths on their route and show love in passing but YHC took another route this morning and that’s probably the reason we missed each other. We’ll catch each other next time Chaplain for a high five and a “Good work!” Great work this morning Chaplain.

  • Solo Ruck

YHC took off at 6am for the pre-beatdown ruck around the paved trail. Mission accomplished.
