Seven showed up on a warm spring morning for a mix of running and bootcamp. We ran about a mile to the parking lot next to the pool, warmed up, and then knocked out Elevens with Merkins at one end and Jump Squats at the other. After finishing that, we took a “break” with 20 Burpees before heading back to the flag. We got back a little early, so we wrapped things up with a couple of minutes of plank holds. Overall, we covered 3.8 miles. Great work, everyone!

Almost no Ice
Ten brave souls converged in the dark and discovered it was much warmer than anyone would expect in the middle of February. Instead of heading to the parking deck (as we did the last two weeks), we tested the roads to see whether they were finally clear of ice, and overall conditions were pretty good—we only hit one patch we couldn’t avoid. After a warm-up, we knocked out a Four Corners with 20 Merkins, 20 Squat Jumps, 20 Heels to Heaven, and 20 Hand-Release Merkins. Then we ran around West Broad Village, stopping at every corner for rotating sets of Merkins, leg work, and ab work. Total distance was a little over 3 miles. Great work, everyone!

Three Chopt Triple Check
Fourteen posted on an unusually warm winter morning for a mix of running and bootcamp. Salt Lick got a head start on his 100 daily Burpees before the workout, and the Q—motivated to help him out—sprinkled in sets of five Burpees from time to time. Two PAX went rucking, while the rest of us ran down to the retirement community at the end of Three Chopt Road, stopping for a warm-up along the way.
Upon arrival, we knocked out a triple check: 20 hand-release Merkins, 20 LBCs, and running. On the way back, we stopped at every intersection for five more Burpees. All told, we covered about 3.5 miles. Great job, everyone!

Frozen Roads, Warm Deck
Eight braved the elements and posted at WTH despite frozen roads. To keep the PAX upright, we shifted to the parking deck and ran it up and down. At every turn we knocked out 15 Merkins; at the bottom we switched to 20 two-count Freddie Mercurys. On the third round we did 15 Jumping Jacks, then finished things off with a final round of 5 Burpees.
Strong work by all who showed!

Five Strong After the Feast
Only five posted on the Friday after Thanksgiving, with zero ruckers despite the advertising to a visitor. We took a simple Handshake route—up to the park and back down to the flag. Three runners, two walkers; the runners covered about 4.8 miles.
Thanks to all who posted! And apologies for the delayed backblast.

Lake Loops … Again
Eight showed up on a warm 60° morning for a mix of running and bootcamp. We hit the Lake again for four loops, stopping each time for 20 Derkins, 20 Dips, and 20 Heels to Heaven. By the end we logged around 3.5 miles and plenty of mumble chatter, with strong effort and great attitudes all around.
Sorry for the delayed backblast, fellas.

Lake Loops
Ten posted on an early Wednesday for a run/bootcamp combo. We headed to Goose Lake and, after a quick warm-up, knocked out lake loops with pain stations: 20 Derkins, 20 WWIIs, 20 Monkey Humpers for the first two loops, then 10 Burpees, 20 two-count LBCs, 40 Calf Raises. Four loops later, time was up and we ran back to the Flag. Total: ~3.5 miles. Great job, everyone!

Bro-Code Friday
Despite the heat and humidity, eight showed up for some Friday morning miles. Being the last Friday of the month, we stuck to our usual Bro-Code route, doing our best to stay together as a group. True to form, we still managed to lose Handshake—who had to cut it short—but the spirit of the code lived on! Great effort by all. Keep pushing forward!

Eagles Hills
Eight showed up on a warm Friday morning ready to take on the Glen Eagles hill and its many cul-de-sacs. Why? Because running uphill is super good for you—don’t just take my word for it, check this out: NYT article. We logged about five miles (give or take), enjoyed the effort, and appreciated the company. Great way to start the day—strong work, gents!

Hot and Humid
Seven showed up on a hot and humid morning for a mix of bootcamp and running. We set off on a cul-de-sac tour, stopping along the way. After a warm-up, we started with 20 two-count Pickle Pounders and 20 two-count LBCs at each stop. After about five rounds, we switched things up with 20 Merkins and 20 two-count LBCs. The heat and humidity did us no favors, but everyone pushed through. Big shoutout to Professor X for digging deep—strong work, brother!
