  • All Along

White Snake had to go for his daughter audition. Gypsy texted the previous day that he was coming, but cancelled later. So, had to run all by myself. Ran five miles. Met several runners along the way, but they also refused to join me after my good morning. So, maybe it is me…

    Usual apologies for the delay.

  • Preparing for Bear Creek

Almost full moon and pretty bright, very nice. Continuing Heart Break Ridge trend, attendance was pretty low, White Snake and YHC. Since White Snake is preparing for Bear Creek run, YHC suggested just a run. After a short discussion, the suggestion was approved. We ran to the end of Three Chopt, then came back on Broad Street, went around the lake and came back to the flag. That gave us four miles and 35 minutes. We got the last mile on the track, though White Snake slacked off a bit complaining about his overworked legs. Given his difficulties with five miles, both of us wondered how is he going to do ten miles of Bear Creek. Still, it is great that he has determination to do it. Best of luck!

  • Just the two of us

White Snake was away, so YHC thought he is going to do it by himself, but then Gypsy showed up! It is way more pleasant to run together with other people. We ran standard Branch Club four-mile loop. Actually, last time we did it with White Snake we got lost. It was good that Gypsy ran it many times with Blue Moon, so he remembered all correct turns. While YHC suggested a bit longer run, Gypsy insisted on four miles. After that several times he tried to deviate into a longer routes, but YHC kept it at four. My apologies for the backblast delay.

  • Back to basics

Six showed up today early morning. A day before, YHC asked if anyone wanted to Q, no one replied, so by default had to do it himself. We did our usual culdesac run with 10 Burpees and 20 Heels to Heavens on one side (six culdesacs) and 15 Hand-Release Merkins and 60 LBCs on the way back (four more). Overall distance is 3.5 miles. Finished almost on time. Pigskin did his usual walk around the School with 200 Merkings and 200 Dips. Great morning!

  • White Deer you missed Homer

So, finally, Homer came to Circus Maximus and White Deer missed him.

After some initial confusion about who is Qing, we did a warm up. After warm up, we did Lucky Loop: 20 Lawnmower Pulls (each hand), 30 Curls, 20 Overhead Pulls (30 for overachievers), 20 Skull Crushers, 20 Squats, 20 Lunges, 30 Swings, 10 Burpies (to welcome Homer back), 20 Around-the-World, 20 Sit and Press, 20 Flutter Presses, 20 High Pulls.

Great to see Homer back, but too bad White Deer could not come. We missed a lot of his jokes.

  • Who Needs Rest

7 showed up on a cold morning. Attila was not feeling well, so YHC had to try to fill his big shoes. When unsure, YHC asked himself: “What would Attila do?” After a warm up, we started with Curb Crawl up to 5 Merkins and down to one. After that, YHC offered choice between dry asphalt and wet field, the pack voted for the field. So, we did Beast on the field with LBCs, Squats, Hand-Release Merkins, Flutters, Jump-Squats, and Burpies. YHC tried to slow down and asked folks to count, but count went so fast, that Q had no choice but continue. We did a loop around the track. Then, three rounds of eight Jerkins. After that ran to the hill and did Noah’s Arc with five WWII at the top: Bear Crawl, Polar Bear Crawl, Bunny Hops, Bernie, Cheetah. Still more time on the clock. Ran to a wall and did two rounds of Wall Sits, ten Chicken Peckers, and fifteen Donkey Kicks. Almost time, so ran to the flag and held legs 6-inches from the ground for count of 60. What a great way to start your day!

  • Lots of wind

3 showed up on cold and very windy morning. Forecasts promised cold, but wind was unexpected and in your face. Chum ran from GridIron AO to Starbucks and back by himself, making it about 4 miles. Polly and Q started at Starbucks, ran to GridIron AO, did GridIron. Q ran back to Starbucks by himself. Running back is way less fun.

  • 47 and rainy

4 regulars showed up this dark and rainy morning. Interestingly, everyone thought that no one else is going to show up. But, show up they did! Ran to a parking deck. After a usual warm-up we did sevens. First round was hand-release Merkins and two-count Freddies, second round was Burpees and American Hammers. Ran to the lake, did three rounds of 20 Dips, 10 Derkins, and 20 Squats. Ran back to the flag. Finished with 20 pole smokers. Overall, ran 3.8 miles. Great job everyone.

  • 30 and sunny

On a cold but sunny morning 7 Pax showed up ready to work. After the warm-up, we did modified beast: starting with 12 hand-release-merkins, going to 18 WWII, 24 squats, down to 6 burpees, 12 Freddie Mercuries, finishing with 18 hammers. After some running did three sets of People’s Chair 15 Air Press, 10 BTTW Hip Slaps, 15 Donkey Kix OYO. Some more running, three sets of 5 pull ups and 20 dips. Finished with ring of fire of merkings.

My sincere apologies for posting so late. May be some kind of record.

  • Parking deck

3 regulars enjoyed an excellent fall morning. After a usual warm-up we did sevens in parking deck. First round was Burpees and Squats, second round hand-release Merkins and flutter kicks. Ran to the lack, did 20 dips and 20 LBCs. Finished with more running. My apologies for posting late.
