  • 7 Turns

    6 Runners and 2 Ruckers came out for YHC’s start of anniversary week.

    Route – A simple out and back starting with a loop around the school, turn into Taylor Farm, cross Atlee Station into Chickahominy Oaks, then to the back of the neighorhood before return the same way back for 4 miles

    A few of us got in some extra credit with Phonics and Speakeasy taking a loop around Honey Meadows on the way back to get closer to 5 miles and YHC getting in a loop around football stadium and HS parking lot to get in 4.5

    The route was designed to have a total of 7 turns on the way out to mark YHC’s 7 year F3 anniversary coming up this Sunday

  • Traditional Loop Brings the Group

    9 Runners and 1 PAX on gears making a short appearance, enjoy the warm morning for the first run of the week

    Route – Farmhouse Loop was set the night before with some getting in some “extra” distance so the PAX ran between 4 to 4.5 miles.

    Opus and Corned Beef got in a walk/run

    Finally we had ride by with Circle K on his bike stopping by during the COT before head went home. It was good to see him

  • The confusing reverse

    4 Runners and 3 Ruckers enjoy a cool morning for another day in the gloom

    Ruckers got their 5am start and put in 4.5 miles

    Runners ran a traditional loop of Rutland, Cool Spring Forest, and Knollwood but reversed. Start with the short route to Knollwood then the trail at Cool Spring Forest and finish with the Rutland for 4.3ish miles

  • Spring Running in DaVille

    7 Runners and 2 Ruckers enjoy the good spring weather for second run of the week

    Route to a loop around Craney Island then back over the flyover with a loop around Kroger and finish with a loop around PBR and library before heading back through Rutland the clubhouse. Distance range from 4 to 4.5 depending on the extra credit.

  • Just Another Day for a Run in DaVille

    4 runners came out to get in the second run of the week. For three of us, it was take it sort of easy before our 10k this week.

    Route was a traditional loop around Rutland, then full trail run in Cool Spring West. YHC decided to take the same way back getting in just over 4 miles. The rest of the PAX did the Bojangles loop and got closer to 4.5 miles. Made sure to keep the pace reasonable.

    Speakeasy may have EHed us to run in the new Half Marathon next March

  • The Carpenter brought the PAX out

    9 Davillians and 1 Down Range Jersey man enjoy a nice reunion this morning for the first run of the week.

    Route

    Headed down the sideway of the two school then turned into far entrance of Giles onto Hill fork Drive. Took a left onto Pleasant Level Rd unto the roundabout before heading to the back out Giles. Heading up hill on Giles Pond Dr then took the cut through into Craney Island.

    4.5 milers – Headed to the back of Craney Island for the down and up hill before looping around the neighborhood to Carpenter’s old house and head out of Craney Island on Westone Rd. Headed back to the SF thus Atlee Station Rd and loop around Cool Spring Church

    4.0 milers – Skipped the the back hill and took the same way back with a shorter loop around the Church

    Ruckers – Did their thing and walked around the schools and Giles

    Since Carpenter was in town, we all finished with him leading us in 100 SSH IC.

    Great to have The Carpenter stop for visit on his way to NC for college visit with his daughter. We he comes to town it seem everyone make its out. Good to have Phonics back out after being on IR for a while and also to see Anchovy.

    Corned Beef decided to ruck with this morning with his new weighted vest including 45lbs. Hash joined him for the first 30 mins then ran with the PAX and Bulkhead joined him for the last 45 mins

  • Run + Bootcamp Saturday

    4 Davillians then down got down to 3 for a holy weekend workout

    This is how it went down

    Part 1 – Run

    Got a three mile run with a loop around the school through Honey Meadows. Heading into Taylor Farms for a loop and finish with a lap around the track

    Part 2 – Bootcamp (Bulkhead had to leave us at this point because nature called)

    Mini Murph – 50 Pull ups, 50 Squats, 50 Merkins

    Indian Run to MS parking lot

    Curb Crawls – Bear crawl to one island for an Incline Merkin then crawl bear back for 2 Decline Merkins. Rinse and Repeat to 5 Merkins

    Indian Run to the bus loop

    4 Corners – 10 Merkins, 20 WWII Sit Ups, 30 Squats, 40 Dips

    Indian Run back to the VSF

    2 MOM – Flutter Kick, Rosalina’s

    Numberrama, Namerama, Announcements, Opus took us out

    Great to have Opus back in the PAX after his international spring break trip. Run + Bootcamp = 4 miles today.

    Enjoy are normal 2F at the Local where Corned Beef join and Bulkhead rejoined us. Enjoy hearing all about Opus’ trip

  • Bojangling Solo

    One Davillians made sure the AO was secured and got in some mile this morning

    YHC decided to scrap the route and do mile repeats on the Bojangles loop.

    finished with 3 loops just over 3 miles

  • Blursday Run

    2 Davillans got out before rain and enjoy the warm but windy weather for a run

    The Route included some traditional routes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We started with a loop around the school then turned onto Staple Rd which took us into the cut through Giles. We ran a loop around Giles.

    We then took Giles farms back to Atlee Station and headed over the flyover. After a short break for a walk we crossed over to Rutland Apt and loop around Kroger.

    We wrapped up with a loop around Rutland townhomes and back over the flyover to the Atlee parking lot for 6.5ish miles

    Great morning for a run. Mr Holland and YHC are to get this 10k completed

    3 runners and 2 ruckers enjoyed a cooler morning.

    Ruckers did thing with start time of 5

    Runners got in 4.5 to 5+ miles with a traditional route into Knollwood and a loop around Cool Spring Forest Trail.
