  • Beast before feast

    In what has become a tradition in DaVille on Fridays during holiday’s, 6 Davillians came for a shorten workout.

    Plan was for a 30 min workout follow by 2nd F breakfast at Rinse and Shine

    Here is how it went down.

    Mosey around parking to our normal COP location

    COP (All IC) – SSH, DQ, Imperal Walkers, LBC’s, Heels to Heaven, AL Prom Date, Arm Circles

    Mosey to the courtyard

    Beast – 6 exercises, 6 reps, 6 time with a loop around the courtyard each time. Merkins, American Hammers, Donkey Kicks, Bobby Hurleys, SSH, Burpees

    Native American Run with optional Burpees back to the VSF

    Numberrama, Namerama, Announcements, Opus took us out

    Great last Friday of 2023 and even better 2nd F at Rise and Shine

  • Nature Called

    2 Davillians enjoy warmer weather on a run this morning.

    Route included a loop through Rutland and a cut through the trail to the library and PBR. Took a new loop around the parking lots of Truist, ER, and Bojangles before heading to Kroger parking lot.

    After a loop around around the townhouses Opus had to make a pit stop while YHC finished with a loop around the apartments to get in 4+

    Miss having the rest of the crew this morning. Looking for to a good start to 2024

  • Split decision

    3 runners with an earlier start and 2 bootcamps arrive at Atlee HS Saturday mornings

    runners heading for an out and back into Kings Charter to the end of the neighborhood for 7.25+ miles

    bootcamps did their thing

    we all headed to the Local cup afterwards for some 2nd F where we are joined by Bulkhead, Corned Beef, and Mudface

  • Will Frosty Be There

    3 Davillians enjoy the first day of Winter with a below freezing run.

    Route – Started with running over the fly over and head to Dewitt Dr. We then took service road to Giles in our search to see if the 20 foot Frosty The Snowman was up. We were in luck and it was so we then heading out of Giles via Halifax Green Dr hills. Then returning to Atlee Station we headed back over the fly over.

    YHC decided to keep it short still recovering from a cold and head straight back for 3.25 miles. Opus added a loop around the apartment to get in 4 miles. Speakeasy kept to the original route (mostly) getting in 4.5 miles

    Cold but great morning for a run and we missed our Ruckers!

  • The 12 Bells of Christmas

    Twas the Wednesday before Christmas when all through the parking lot
    Only 3 Davillians were stirring, that tried to stay hot;
    The kettlebells were brought by care with care,
    In preparation for YHC’s Q that is rare;

    This is how the story continued:

    Warm Up – Some stretching followed by SSH’s, Helicopters, and Arm Circles

    The 12 Bells of Christmas

    Starting with 1 rep for the 1st exercise then a short lap around the parking lot then back for round 2 for 1 rep 1st and 2 reps 2nd. Rinse and repeat until we hit 12. This is how it went:

    1 – Turkish get up
    2 – Cleans
    3 – Sit up + Press
    4 – Good Mornings
    5 – Goblet Squats
    6 – Deadlifts
    7 – Overhead Press
    8 – Round The Worlds
    9 – Thrusters
    10 – Halos
    11 – Swings
    12 – Rows

    Numberrama, Namerama, Announcements, YHC took us out

    Great to be back at MannDate, its been a while. Temp was in the 20’s so YHC made sure we got a little cardio to keep the blood flowing.

  • 4 Q’s

    4 Davillians made their way through the fog for some running and different boot camps

    6:30 came with three ready to go. Opus and YHC headed out for a training run while Mustang went out solo for a boot camp

    Runners Route – Head out behind the schools into Honey Meadows, take the cut through into Kings Charter to Castlewood and Atlee Ridge before returning via the trail on Atlee station.

    Opus then took a loop around Taylor Farms and back behind the schools to get in a 10k

    YHC took a route in front of the schools to get 5.5 miles

    Mustang’s Bootcamp – Did a circuit workout on the access road by the fields

    Helix’s bootcamp – Was a LIFO and headed to the track for laps and exercises

    All return for Numberrama, Namerama, Announcements, Helix took us out

    Was nice to have some warm weather after this week. YHC needed a good run so glad to have Opus to help me push

    Enjoy some 2nd F time at The Local afterwards with Mr Holland joining us

  • Post Turkey Trout

    2 Davillians enjoyed cold temps on a Saturday morning to get in their long run of the week.

    Route was the same as last week. Heading out the Atlee parking alot, around the school to Honey Meadows. Take the cut through road to King Charter. Turn around at the 3rd mile inside of Totopotomoy. Head back the same way but take Honey Meadows to the front the school and finished with a loop around the bus loop and the Atlee parking lot. Opus got in close to 6 miles while YHC push for the 10k.

  • North of the Wall Turkey Trout

    2 Davillians got up early on Thanksgiving for the Daville’s Thanksgiving Run.

    Route was a typical run around Rutland and Cool Spring Forest for 3.5 miles. Speakeasy got in more (most likely over 5) with the run to the AO and run afterwards

    Sorry to miss our other Davillians on Turkey Day!

  • Back to Running

    2 Davillians got back to running on a Saturday. Route was out to Totopotomoy and back to get in 5.75 miles

    Good pace for the first long distance run in a while.

  • Respect Majority

    4 Runners and 2 Ruckers enjoy a cooler Thursday morning in Rutland.

    Runners Route – Head down Combs to the Villas at Rutland before turning onto to crestfield. We then took the reverse loop of Rutland but taking the trail cut through to Rutlandshire. Mile two include a loop around the library and PBR before heading over to Kroger. Mile 3 include a loop around Kroger and Rutland Center. Mile 4 varied a little but began with a loop around Rutland townhouses and either finished with a run back up Rtualndshire or a loop around Combs.

    Ruckers got their 5 am start and did their thing

    YHC was totally outnumbered with Mr. Holland leave a little early for work that left only a crew of Respect PAX and a hate

    Great to have No Idea back out with us!
