    7 pax showed up for a brand new AO in the heart of the far west end. The beatdown was hosted by Roger Roger for the unofficial kickoff of the new AO with a planned launch date of November 7th. Attila will lead us in week 2 on a spooky edition of a beatdown Friday October 31.

    It went a little like this:

    Time for a mosey underground for our first H track.

    Thanks for letting me host the first one at our soon to be named AO. Some good names were thrown around and one that is standing out is Members Only, Wet Caps, Wells Bells, and a couple were quickly shot down. Lots of Mumble chatter to throw the counts off and mess with the Q. All in the excitement of a new AO and getting the opportunity to name it. Stay tuned and come participate. We will blast this on the Wells Bells Facebook page and paper copies to the Members only page to make awareness of our presence. Come out next week for a spooky spectacular debut at Attila’s lair on October 31st.

  • Curahee Out and back

    The pax showed up to do a 3, 4 , or 5 mile out and back which took us down john rolfe parkway to broad street and back.

    The 3 mile route turned back at the speed limit sign on John Rolfe. The 4 mile route turned around at three chopt and the 5 mile route turned right on broad for .2 and came back to the start.

    Roger Roger, Mr. Rogers, Hutton, bedpan, pigskin, white snake, lighthouse, full house, handshake, Gypsy, and byproduct showed up

  • 9/11 ascension bells

    24 warriors posted at what would be a record at circus Maximus for a 9/11 remembrance kettle bell beatdown. 

    A few comments and mumble chatter to start the day and of course an expertly planned set list for our patriotic themed rendition of 2,200 stairs to ascend with your bell. Some cadence chatter got us all in the mood ( never could time it right) but we move anyway!

    History: 

    AA 11 – hit the wtc first

    UA 93 – fought back and crashed in Pennsylvania 

    AA 77 – crashed into the pentagon

    UA 175 – hit the second tower

    Theme and numbers. Fire fighters ascended 2,200 stairs so we commemorate and move in remembrance of our fallen soldiers, brothers, sisters, pilots, family members and those in service.

    11 signifies the AA 11 flight that went down first

    The Thang-

    Long mosey to the Godwin track with bell and we begin our ascension in style with a patriotic ensemble to push us through this beatdown .

    5 excercises 11 of each then climb with your bell to the top and back. 

    6 rounds got us the 2,200 stairs 

    Excercise 1 – 11 in swings

    Excercise 2 – 11 lawnmower pulls

    Excercise 3- 11 suitcase squat

    Excercise 4- 11 halo 😇 

    Excercise 5- 11 clean and jerk 

    Climb the stairs and rinse and repeat. 

    Once 6 rounds were accomplished the Q then asked the flight numbers again and 3/4 were answered. The penalty 77 curls on a mosey back to the flag.

    We end with God Bless the USA and a moment of silence to Never forget.

    16 warriors braved the morning dew and embarked on a 3.3 journey which took us through the enchanted forest to soak city and the short pump orbital. The temperature was 70 and sunny and it went something like this-

    15 imperial squat walkers

    25 Freddie mercuries

    12 warriors embraced the gloom for a nice 58 degree workout! One out of town guest joined us as an FNG. Welcome Fortran!

    Warma-Rama

    First we did a half mile mosey to the pad where we it went like this:

    Let’s mosey-

    We head over to the parking deck where we do 10 merkins at each level to the back! Mosey dow And repeat back up to the top this time 20 mountain climbers. The sun was starting to peak through for a moment of silence for those not with us. Mosey down to the bottom and pick up the 6. 

    We then mosey to the gazebo where we do 20 dips, 10 squats, 20 dips. We then loop the lake and head to the start of in which it was exactly 45 mins and 3.45 miles. Thanks for letting me host! Welcome Fortran from Harrisonburg!

    7 warriors braved the morning dew and embarked on a 3.7 mile journey which took us through the enchanted forest to soak city and the short pump orbital. The temperature was 70 and sunny and it went something like this-

    Clock hit and ten gloom warriors braved the 26 degree warm and sunny beatdown that went a little like hey Q is open. “I’ll take it” 

    Mosey off campus to find ourselves with a little COP in Fargo. Felt that cold but we quickly Warmed up:

    Since a hurricane is approaching our shores and cancelled major events across the east coast it was no better a time to do a little WTH hurricane. 

    The goal is 5 rounds for time: 

    Our crew of 5 woke up early set out on the path to complete a hurricane. 

    Round the corner to the cement pad for a Warmarama where we did:

    20 SSH 

    10 Helicopters

    10 Don Qs 

    25 Freddie mercuries

    Recover: 

    The thang:

    Consists of 4 corners all right turns around the Trader Joe’s to the backside of the school and around back to the cement pad for Category 1.

    Each corner we did 25 LBCS.

    At the eye of the hurricane we did:

    60 Squats

    60 scissors

    60 shoulder taps

    40 merkins

    Category 2: round the 4 corners and do 60 mountain climbers at each corner

    At the Eye: 

    Repeat

    60 squats

    60 scissors

    60 shoulder taps

    40 merkins

    Category 3: round the corners 25 LBCs at each corner.

    At the Eye: 4 mins left head to the flag

    All in all this was a heavy hitter and we did not make it to a Category 3, 4, or 5. We will try again soon. 3.5 miles completed on this Category 2.

  • WTH Impromptu Q

    5 pax showed up for a 3 mile run and bootcamp at WTH for an impromptu Q from Roger Roger. Some clocks showed 3.8 miles, but who was counting on this beautiful morning.

    Mosey around the lake in the village to the Gazebo for

    Warmarama:

    20 SSH

    15 helicopters

    DMH 

    25 LBCs

    25 dips

    Mosey to the parking deck at ACAC to show the paying by standards there is a better way!  

    Round 1: 

    20 merkins, hike up the stairs, 20 merkins jog down

    R2:

    20 WW2s, run up the stairs, 20 2 count flutters and jog down

    R3: relocate to second parking deck in hopes of a sunrise

    One round of parking deck 7s Squats/merkins 

    (Sunrise didn’t show up) 

    Mosey around Trader Joe’s and short pump elementary back to the flag.

    Extras- one by standard didn’t say good morning so we completed our tour with 10 burpees.

  • Lakewood Manor trot

    Curahee:

    10 warriors drove out to curahee for a pleasant morning. We must mention 3 pax dropped off and put in extra steps. Mr. Rogers peeled off to his house. Whitesnake and Homeydo found a new route which made the excursion to 6 miles!

    The route

    Millington, left Ridgefield, left rolfield, rt rolfe way. Left john rolf pkwy. 4s turn back and reverse at gayton. 5s continue across gayton. Lakewood manor for one loop then reverse. 6s two loops in Lakewood manor!

    The lost pax were found and returned unharmed. they requested to re-create the unknown route at a later time. All of this with a big welcome to our fng Hokie (hoos fan and graduate)
