  • What’s your inspiration?

    Six men broke free from the fartsack to partake in something new..kinda.

    YHC was scouring the internet from boredom and read that April 7th would produce a Full Moon Pink (Nancy Lopez read the same article – great minds). This is where the moon is at the closest point in the rotation around the earth. It happens on a 14 month cycle. In my boredom I found one of MANY workouts people are posting and came across the one titled HIIT this curb workout. So we did…….kinda.

    Here’s how it went down…………

    COP: SSH, Little Baby Crunches, Superman, Flutter Kicks (Sugar Sticks), Jazzercise & Imperial Walkers.

    Beatdown: Curb Steps, Curb Pushoffs, Curb Standing Lunge, Curb Burpee, Curb Drydock to Merkin (needs a new name as much mumblechatter was happening – some creative xxx names tho!) & Curb Peter Parkers.

    Marmaduke took us out. Prayers to Honeymoons family as they wait to hear news on his fathers remission.

  • Extreme Social Distancing

    Policeing my own today… If a Faceplant posts in the woods of Batteau all by himself does he post a backblast? The answer to that question is a resounding yes as I embrace Big Data now.

    Since Faceplant was the sole poster this morning, the potato was cold and was carried the entire time by one.

    It went down like this, stretches in the requisite tennis court area. Then run down to the gym for a pull-up ladder starting at 5 down to 1 then back up to 5.

    Moseyed on down to the pit area, 10 incline merkins, 10 dips, run up the hill do 20 air squats then repeat 5 times. After that headed down the hill to the lake for a Faceplant favorite lap around the lake – Stopping at each light pole for alternating 5 burpees and 10 WW2s. Made my way around the lake, and headed up the hill of ill repute, alternating between lunges and running between each light pole. At each light pole stopping to do 20 Merkins. Ended at the top of the hill right at 6:15.

    Names and numbers were quick, Faceplant took us out.

  • A Hive With No Queen

    A totally legal 10 spiders escaped the web to run. With no Q on the sheet, TYA made the call for Grove before any other Spiders could dissent. Gateway-Campus-Towana-Grove out 23, back 22.

  • Got in the Mile and then some

    4 Davillians arrived at Pearson’s Corner ES on a somewhat cool morning in April. Trout had the Q and this is how it went down

    Warmup – 1 mile run to check that off the list

    COP (ALL IC) – DQ, Arm Circles, LBC’s, Scorpion Kicks, some other things

    THANG

    11’s – Burpees and Merkins, Up and down the blacktop

    Laps – 25 reps of an exercies follow by Bernie Sanders around the parking Lot

    Social Distancing Partner Work – Partner Up. Each partner using one of the islands in the parking lot, complete 15 Incline Merkins then curb crawl around the island and completed 15 Merkins. Switch islands, rinse and repeat 5 times

    5 MOM – 100 Flutter Kicks & 50 Gas Pumps

    Numberama, Namerama, Announcements, Trout took us out

  • All In The FNG Family

    Six socially-distanced strongmen appeared out of the gloom for a beatdown at The Last Resort. Churchill had such a good time in his FNG personal training session from last week that he brought his little brother along for the fun. Here’s how it went down:

    Mosey down the street for our contractually-obligated continuous mile for starters. Return to school, head to the back porch for COP. SSH, Imperial Walkers, Don Quixote, LBCs, 6 inches.

    Return of the AquaBear: bearcrawl the length of the bus ramp, punctuated by a burpee at each set of columns.

    Kickin’ Triple Check: donkey kicks, flutter kicks, run to the street & back

    Four Corners: 10 jump squats, 20 WWIIs, 30 mountain climbers, 40 American Hammers, lunges between each corner.

    Mosey back to the flag for a Ring of Fire. Numbers, Names, ‘Nouncements.

    Welcome FNG JulieYard! The 16 year-old brother of Churchill, JulieYard plays lacrosse for his high school, and plays guitar in a band “with a bunch of old guys in their 40s,” as well as numerous other instruments. That, combined with a story about nature calling as a little kid, yielded a brilliant portmanteau of references for his name. Glad JulieYard is already well-acquainted with old guys in their 40s, because this PAX will be a great place to fill that gap while lacrosse season has been scrapped.

  • Donkey

    4 Warriors came out for a beautiful morning of exercise and togetherness (6ft apart). YHC with his 2.0 appeared first but Wilson and Hermie soon followed. All ran to AO so YHC skipped the Mosey and went straight to COP.

    COP- 25 SSH’s, 10 DQ’s, 10 Jazzercise, 10 IW’s, 10 RS’s, 10 CHS’s, 10 Merkins, 10 WWII’s, 10 LBC’s, 10 Flutter, 10 Dollies, 10 Rosalita’s. At one point Dog pound start counting each 10 with Donkey and stated that is what they did on his cross country team. Seemed like a good idea and the PAX complied. Mosey up the hill for the start of the BIG 4 corners.

    BIG 4 corners. .8 miles all the way around. Alternating 50 reps at each corner of exercises.

    Round 1 10 WWII’s, 10 LBC’s, 10 Flutters, 10 Dollies, 10 Rosalita’s.


    Round 2 25 merkins, 25 Carolina dry docks.

    Round 3 25 SSH’s, 25 SSH’s

    Round 4 repeat round 1.

    Mosey back to parking lot for parking lot tracers of Bernie, side shuffle.

    2 rounds of 10 merkin ring of fire rounded out the hour.

    YHC appreciates my 2.0 getting out there today and working hard. Wilson and Hermie gutted out all the running (logged at least a 5K). Appreciate letting me lead. Prayers to the healthcare workers and those on ventilators. I continue to draw strength from the PAX. Way to work men!! Apologies for the tardy BB!
