Over the river, through the woods, to Marmaduke’s Q we go.
5-6 miles total for breakfast clubbers today. Pax of 1, until YHC picked up Bleeder out for an early mile by the lake. Do the voices in YHC’s head count as mumblechatter?

MOLESKIN
Nice to have some a cooler morning. Some thought that it was cold enough for long sleeves. YHC feel the golden rule should be long sleeves under 50. Some discussion was had over this
There is always humor when it comes to Mud Face and Chewy partnering up. This week was no acceptation. A couple times after Mud Face would come back from the run during the workout deck, Chewy was not to be found. Even for a teenager, Chewy still has some kid in him since was found on the jungle gym every time.
6 Burpees was YHC’s honoring 6 great years with his M the F3 way!

Great work this morning, even if Gumbo made us do an extra round! Just kidding, YHC needs all the extra work he can get. One of the hidden gems about the Murph is allowing everyone to take a turn counting. Its a great way to get your feet wet for that upcoming VQ, yes i’m looking at you POG, BoBerry, and we will give Lone Wolf a little bit of slack on the VQ since it was his second post, but soon the pressure to lead will come! Strong work gents! Have a great day, continue to be the awesome men that at you are!

14 sets of shoes, 1 set of paws, and 3 sets of wheels pounded the (somewhat less) pot holed City of Richmond pavement on a picture perfect morning around the friendly confines of MMES. For the 260th consecutive Friday, temps were sunny and 70.

Announcements:
Beer Mile for Shawn G. Hogan, this evening, Dogwood Dell. Come drink 4 beers over 4 laps with Handshake, Faceplant, and Friends (and learn the answer to Greenbow’s philosophical query, “What beverage should I chug that would be as bad as beer?”
Don’t want to drink and run? No worries. Arrive early, scour the bushes, and snag a 6 pack of beer, which will be warming all day.
NMS:
Great morning for a run. Faceplant and Sippy launched fast out of the blocks, so fast that Sippy apparently combusted somewhere along the route. Handshake set a solid pace for the 4 and 5 milers. Good chatter with Handshake and Greenbow before the latter, Bodo’s, and Bodo’s garbage-ravaging canine split off for the 4 route.
Swiper shared his advice on good spots to hike in Colorado, including one route that had the unfortunate side effect of triggering fear among his youngest that Swiper was trying to murder the young man. YHC is reasonably sure his own parents tried to murder YHC using the same method, an experience so jarring that YHC in turn has attempted to do the same to his own children. Remember, fellas: it’s push yourself, don’t hurt yourself. And, push your 2.0s until they drop.
A lucky 7 showed up to the Anvil for the Thursday morning grind. YHC looked at the Q sheet late last night, saw it was open and not wanting a Hot Potato decided to take on the Anvil and here is what went down.

We then did BTW and Chicken peckers and started on one end and stayed in BTW position while Pax performed 10 CP’s(5 each shoulder) and returned to BTW position.
Switched back to invisible chair and starting at one end the last bear pax member, bear crawled to the front and assumed chair position, then next person bear crawled to the front and we repeated until each PAX member performed 4 rotations.

3 took advantage of cool and cloudy weather and tackled a Wednesday evening run. Differing routes ranging from 4 and 5 miles.
GMILFs were complimentary of those who were shirtless (we knew it was all directed at Swirly…)
Saab abides
14 Redwoods came to Mary looking for something more to the day. YHC provided that extra boost when an iron anvil emerged from the shadows.
Mosey to the front of the school for COP in “Sara’s corner”. SSH, Don Quixote, Russian Soldiers, Scorpion Kicks. You know, the usual stuff.
Mosey back to the soccer field and line up facing Cary for 21s. The exercises are Merkins and 4-count American Hammers. Each iteration the anvil made its way down the line allowing the Pax member to sit out a round in order to perform curls. Yes, Merkin fest is next month so why not get a couple hundred in today?
Over to the adjacent end of the soccer field for the Beast. With this Beast, the anvil comes with us and is passed down the line at each stop. The pax member with the anvil at that time does tricep extensions behind the head. The exercises were APDs, Lt Dans, HRMs, and something else. We got 2/3s of the way done before time was called and off to the VSF.
Labrat took us out partially due to his choice of footwear.
Announcements: Faceplant extended an open invitation to a beer mile event tomorrow night. See him for details.
Time to Taper,
Lockjaw
