    Attila took us out

    NMS

The 11 circus performers put on their own  entertainment,   that included Wilson’s clown mumble chatter that threw off YHC ladder line up count.

POG,  and Honeymoon thought they would juggle imaginary KB’s Thanks to Attila and YHC’s for having extra.

Marmaduke  was our designated mime, he would often juggle his imaginary KB and then clown like lifting his real KB.

Then there was Attila,  nothing like an ear to ear grin on his  face.  I don’t know if it was YHC, the PAX’s mumble chatter, or just the unknown, but the CM always brightens his smiley face.

We even had Labrat performing his own side show because he didn’t like the rungs in the ladder and kept saying just wait until Gridiron

Hope you got a good workout?

    NMS:

    • Comparatively cool morning after recent weeks stifling humidity. Mumble chatter ended quickly with the Bearpee Slaughter Start. Continued the burpee theme with Body Builders in the first COP and 4×4’s at the Amphitheater — DTH was feelin wiped at the end. Mr Roper was noted to comment his ears were sweating. Long Pole brought his father out, FNG “Nails”, so named since his nickname at the Fire department is the Hammer. WELCOME NAILS!!! As always, YHC is honored to lead and serve you men – keep headlocking new guys and trying out new AO’s!

  • Swirly never loses

Announcements: Puppy Pile this week at 7:05 at Dogpile

NMS: it was a nice morning today, smaller crew than normal at Mary. Today is Mr. Holland’s 2 year anniversary with F3. He texted YHC yesterday to say he had tweaked his back and needed some coverage. YHC was honored to take the Q since YHC doesn’t lead enough and needs his hand forced at times. There wasn’t much mumble chatter except Saab and TYA. Drew (FNG) is a buddy of YHC’s and today he accepted an open invitation from a few months ago. Todays’ backblast pile comes from a conversation overheard from Swirly. For those of you that don’t know, Swirly is competitive, very competitive. YHC overheard Swirly saying something about never losing at exercising, and then the conversation went downhill from there to non-publishable levels, it was funny. SYITG

  • Fartsack or Q, HMMMM?

It was a dark gloomy night with thunderstorms threatening and YHC had to decide – should I just Fartsack it for SOT, I mean I’ve finished the Summer tour! I know, I’ll sign up for the Q then I have to post.

8 other suspicious looking characters joined YHC and this is what went down.

Mosey to the teachers / bus lot for COP

Cherry Pickers, Don Q’s, Helicopters,Hillbillies, LBCs and possibly some others but I can’t remember any.

Mosey to back loop around school, lung to the bright light (Tobit), backward lung to the next light

Mosey to the bottom of the hill near the indoor outhouse. Doozy’s new favorite exercise, Man Killers. YHC screwed up the cadence so the PAX was punished 5 burpies OYO.

    Tripple Check

Partner one Chicken Peckers, Partner two Squats, Partner three run the hill (X3)

Mosey to the track for a Wilson style one mile relay. 4 teams of 2 split up to go to 1/4, 1/2,3/4 & 4/4 points on the track while YHC gets the party started. Exercises are 1/4 spot Merkins, 1/2 spot LBCs, 3/4 spot Mountain Climbers and 4/4 spot squats. all PAX work their exercises while YHC runs to 1/4 spot 1/4 goes to 1/2, 1/2 goes to 3/4 and so on and so forth. Wilson is still trying to figure out how that was a mile run but we have a couple math geniuses in the PAX that laid it all out for him. After all completed all their spots which equaled one lap we met in the middle of the field for 5 burpies OYO.

Mosey to the bottom of the hill, one burpie to start run up the hill one burpie for victory over the hill, run to the bus loop one burpie for speed and run to the flag one burpie to finish.

YHC was getting his phone and Rosie felt short changed at 6:13 so American Hammers (?) and the Alphabet where in order.

    Numbers/names YHC took us out

Lots of prayers needed, just pray for all your brothers and their families God knows who needs what but he wants to hear from you.

    Announcements:

Puppy Pile Saturday, Labor day Convergence 7:00 Timberwolf

    NMS:

YHC had some conflict going on in his head and decided the only way to get it done is to JUST shut up and do it. Thanks to the PAX for making me get going this morning. Sorry for the late BB but it’s been a very long day. Good night see you at The Forge.

  • Divergent Paths to the Same Route

4s, 5s, and 6s took off on different routes only to converge on a common point at Westham Parkway and Baldwin, taking the same route down by the canal and home.

Kudos to Bleeder and Lugnut in their bonus runs into and away from the AO.

    Announcements:

    • Puppy Pile this weekend – Bring those 2.0s.
    • Saab’s 2.0 is hosting a happy hour this Thursday to raise proceeds for the leukemia and lymphoma society. Sounds like a good time for a good cause and an opportunity to give Saab a hard time. What more does one need?

  • Running Entropy

Some came from the north, others from the south, and some from around the block. Early, on time, and after 6….we had them all. Distances and routes varied across all extremes.

One thing in common was the fist pump as the Pax crossed paths interweaving all that Roller Coaster has to offer. The hills were mighty, the humidity high, and the spirit unbreakable.

There was rumor of New Market’s measure of success in evading Labrat at all times on the run. Labrat most certainly will not be apologizing.

YHC brought his other 2.0 to her first F3 workout. She worked the terrain and even chased down a deer until it bolted. Welcome Wolverine!

YHC doesn’t often Q DaVille, his love of Ground-n-Pound seems like a waste of the size of the AO. But pressure from the PAX will make a man do some positive things, weather he wants to or not.

MumbleChatter was high and the effort was strong as everyone worked through the exercises.

As always it was an honor to lead this group of men

    See you in the Gloom.

  • Fibonacci’s dark secrets

A long time ago in a land far away there lived a man named Fibonacci. That wasn’t his real name of course. It was just a made up name. His real name was too hard to pronounce so he chose a name that was easy to rhyme with “bocce” and “splotchy”. Since today is in fact a Fibonacci day, this workout was dedicated to him and his lasting effect on the world of math. Because of him, we do not have to use those wretched Roman numerals because he introduced the Hindu-Arabic numeral system to Europe which we still use to this day. And he also had this cool sequence of numbers named for him. Thank you Fibonacci. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts. But YHC digresses…

COP — SSH, LBC, Tempo Merkins, reverse crunches, AST’s, American hammers, plank jacks, DQ’s

(Many PAX members were unaware that Fibonacci had his demons and was definitely far from perfect. YHC did some research on the dark web that casts a serious shadow on the life of our hero Fibonacci.)

He looks like an innocent schoolboy but his many secrets were recently brought to the light of day after the raid on Area 51. What the hell is up with that stupid hat?

The first of his unknown secrets uncovered on the dark web was his nightly ritual of sneaking out of his house and down to the convent to play a little Peeping Tom action on the nunnery not too far from his house. In honor, we did 2 sneaky merkins, ran for a bit, picked up a a kettle bell and then did 3 bob and weaves (to duck out of sight of the Mother Superior when she came around). Increase to 5 sneaky merkins and 8 bob and weaves. Then 13 sneaky merkins and 21 bob and weaves. Fibonacci never got caught in his little sneaky game. But the dark web knows…

from L. to R. Mario, Super Mario, Luigi

More research on the dark web revealed his out of control passion for the plumbers wife who lived on the outskirts of town. This was the result of their secret tryst. Three high spirited baby boys who showed a knack for getting into trouble and going on wild adventures across many worlds. In honor of the triplets, we did the illegitimate triple check. 1st time — timer is the donkey kicker who did 8 — others were doing KB Thrusters and lawnmowers. All complete that round. Then up the ante to 13 DK’s for all. Up the ante again to 21 DK’s.

Prison is hell, especially for a guy like Fibonacci who wore a weird looking hat.

Things really spiralled out of control after that as Fibonacci spent some time in the local slammer for racketeering and tax fraud. (He was good with numbers, but not that good). In the big house, he developed a very important game called Don’t Drop the Soap. In honor, we played the same game with Kettle bells. Hold the KB out in front with straight arms. Upon dropping the KB, do a penalty lap around the loop and then come back and do 5 overhead presses. play again with penalty lap and 8 presses, then again with a lap and 13 overhead presses.

Fibonacci gets back in line. After his ugly and sordid past, the dark web notes that his life was changed and he got back on the straight and narrow. In honor of this, the PAX got in a line and passed a KB from person to person to celebrate his changed life. Each pax member would pass the KB and then run to the back of the line to continue the fun.

    Numbers, Names, Announcements

    YHC took us out.

NMS — Yes, today is a Fibonacci day but YHC didn’t realize this until he came home and talked to his daughter about what we did this morning. She asked “Is today a Fibonacci day?” YHC was astonished upon looking at the date that it actually was!! 8 and 21 are on the sequence! Weird!! Had fun this morning, gentlemen! Remember if you need to scoop some dirt on anyone, the dark web is there for you!

  • Hitting Trees with Swirly

13 Strong posted this morning for W Dog. Here’s how it went down:

Love Hill: Partner up, one man runs up hill to the amphitheater and back. Other partner rotates through lunges // broad jump burpees // bear crawl

Mosey to Amphitheater: Box Jump Burpees on first step. 10/5/3/2/3

Mosey to Rusty Cage: 8 Pull ups // 16 Plank Jacks // 24 LBCs, run to the hydrant and back. repeat 3x.

    Last round: 10 Body Pulls // 20 Froggers // 30 Reverse Crunches.

Mosey back to the Flag: Announcements, numberama, namerama. YHC took us out.

NMS: Love Hill was dark as the inside of a cow. Swirly and I ran into a tree together that had fallen across the road; it was a very bonding experience. There was some grumbling about running Love Hill all the way to the amphitheater, but all did well. Kudos to Toga for his throwback Rusty Cage routine, a great comprehensive workout for the whole body. Also, Fireman Ed and Handshake wore matching blue cut-off t shirts and black shorts. It was very cute.

F3 teaches us to move into the pain. Everything required of us today that is good — the hard conversation at work, the parenting of difficult children, the loving of a wife or roommate — all requires that we renounce self-interest and move into and toward the pain. In doing so we reflect the one who said: “The Son of Man came not be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Grateful to be with you guys. See you in the gloom.
