Enjoyed rucking a few miles around Rockwood with HP sharing all sorts of real life stories. Big Rig ran for the first half then joined the conversation. Finished up in time to COT and stretch before the musical beatdown. Always a pleasure gents! ~DTH

IPC Week 0 2025
8 High Impact Men emerged from the dusk onto the Pine Fork Park football field for the 2025 Iron Pax Challenge Week 0! YHC was so excited he woke up numerous times hoping it was time to get after it! There was some dispute of the spread of tunes in which no one approved of, but we didn’t let that slow us down!
Choo Choo led us in Warmarama at centerfield! We then meandered over to the whiteboard to do a final overview of the Week 0 workout.
The workout took much longer than I think any of us anticipated. No halfass reps here!
Choo Choo and Commando were sidelined being on IR but they remained mobile as ChooChoo ran and Commando rucked! Way to keep moving men!
Numbers (8) & Namarama! Announcement & Prayer Requests- IPC Week 1 coming soon, we’ll keep you updated on the NewKent channel. Continue to keep Yoda in your prayers. Way to perform men! YHC can’t wait for the next one!

Chased down by Opus
YHC started off his Thursday the right way by getting in his car and heading towards the Rutland neighborhood for an enjoyable jog. He did have the heads up that the parking lot might be closed but at 5:28 AM, you forget small details like that. That parking lot was closed. So YHC parked on the next street which was about 200 meters from the AO. He then met up with Yardsale who was the lone rucker and BAM! who was ready for a jog. So off the 3 of us went. Yardsale soon after met up with Bulkhead. They rucked into Rutland and possibly Cool Spring Forest. Only they know.
For BAM! and YHC, we went over the Atlee train bridge, past Atlee High School, and into Taylor Farm. Soon after entering the neighborhood, BAM! and YHC heard some footsteps coming behind them and saw a flashlight. When we turned around, to our surprise, Opus had chased us down. Opus had a late start for the same reason that YHC had a parking issue. Opus parked on the next street but parked further down the street. He was far behind us and had been chasing us for quite a while. Once he caught us, he continued with the strong pace. Great job Opus!
As we returned to Rutland, YHC took a detour through the retirement community just past the Atlee train bridge. He then came down Cool Spring Road and turned into Rutland. This likely added some distance, but runners were all around 4.5 miles which is likely another continuous running record for BAM! Well done again!
We had left as 3 but returned as 5.
COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Opus took us out.
NMS: Enjoyed the run with BAM! and Opus today. Great weather again.
Announcements: 11 year Convergence at Dogpile at 7 AM on 9/20/25. (I think that is the correct date.)
Gotta Run!

RAMM – Simple Directions
Out-and-back on Grove toward VCU. 23 minutes out, 22 minutes back. Simple directions, even I could remember them. But you have to do a negative split so keep the pace in mind.
The Groups:
- The Sixes (Splinter, Marv, Sippy Cup, Garbage Plate): Made it all the way to Belvedere. Probably the furthest any RAMM has ever gone. At this rate, they’ll be in New Kent by the holidays.
- The Fives (YHC, Splinter, Chippendale, Saab): Nearly hit VCU. Topics of conversation included traffic signals, diverging diamonds, roundabouts, and the delicate social differences between “butt dial” and “booty call.” Productive, as always.
- The Fours (Gumbo and Hitchhiker): Kept it steady. Gumbo gets extra credit since he ran from home.
Observations:
- The Sixes returned huffing, puffing, and looking like they’d just wrestled a bear, but they liked it.
- Saab’s favorite shirt remains in France. RIP. His Garmin keeps it company.
Announcements:
- F3RVA’s 11-year anniversary is around the corner. Check Slack for details you’ll immediately forget.
Prayers:
- For Marv’s dad, as he recovers from a hospital stay.
- For TYA, recovering from an infection caused by a literal splinter (not Splinter the human).
YHC took us out.

- R on Raintree
- R on Cherrywood
- L on Cedarbluff
- L on Waltham and continue on Chauncey back to Raintree
- L on Falconbridge
- R on Pump
- Add laps of Godwin or other add-ins as desired
Numberama, Nameorama, COT
MOLESKIN
New faces at Currahee as a byproduct of the Circus circus of late. Someone asked if this was an AO PR. It is in fact the 2nd biggest Currahee turnout, bested only by the PAX of 16 or 18 two weeks ago. Apparently, a distant memory either way, and those figures remain unaudited. Today’s numbers are official in my expert paid opinion. Trust me, I’m certified.

Bengay, it’s the scent that drives the cougars wild.
YHC was thrilled to see 7 HIMs in attendance this morning at the Twin Team Lounge this morning. Temperatures and attitudes were near perfection as always.
Warm-a-rama: Back and forth across the blacktop. In conversation warmup with Ukranian soldiers, walking high knees, quad stretch, jogs, etc. Then circle up for some stretching to get those muscles loose. You can’t rush perfection at the Lounge.
Thang 1: Quad-check. Run, Squats, Merkins, LBC’s.
Thang 2: Ascending 4 corners. YHC pulled a fast one on the group and went to 50, 60, 70 and 80 on the corners vs. starting over. The PAX rallied and rebelled appropriately. We ended with 80 monkey humpers which was an appropriate transition to the weekend activity that we’re all sure to have.
Number-a-rama / Prayer Requests and YHC took us out.
Credit to Rosie for the joke of the day. YHC apologies to Last Call for making him sweat in the Lounge. Great to have Bullseye back with the group.
