  • Where is everyone?

After going all the way to five last week, this week we fell back to two, and it would be one if I would not drive Tonka with me. Where is everyone? Pig Skin had grandkids to take care of, but what about everyone else?

Anyhow, we went in opposite direction this week to the end of Three Chopt road, but still did 11s: Hand Release Merkins on one side and Squats on the other (sorry, I am not very original). By the time we got back to the Flag the time was up. Total distance 3.5 miles.

  • So many people

We had a crowd! Five instead of regular three. We have not done 11s in a while, so this is what we did after some running: Merkins on one side and Squats on the other. On the way back it turns out we had extra time left, so we went around the lake and did three rounds of 20 derkins, 20 dips, 20 Freddies. Back to the flag with total distance around 4 miles. Great job everyone!

Sorry for a delay… I am working on it.

  • JAX No Show

YHC planted the flag and Faceplant showed up waited unti 5:30am then started the workout.

So we start with a Triple check, 10 merkins at the crop circle, lunges to the downhill drive, run down hill, 10 hand release merkins, reverse walk up the hill. Rinse repeat 2 more times for a triple check.

Faceplant took us out in prayer

    Moleskin

So we received a message for F3 Jax that Bartles and James will be posting…no show unfortunately.

Great morning for a workout and great conversation with Faceplant. Always a blessing to have our health and the ability to workout each morning. Today we had a low impact recovery day for the workout.

    HAve a great day gents….Cheers….CB!

  • Poor Attempt to Silence the Mumble Chatter

Nine Legends of the Morn rose before most to take on the cooler temps at RVA’s earliest social club. 5 am hour struck so let us begin.

Mosey to the front of the church across the grassy knoll for disclaimers and introductions. Warm ups included speedy SSH’s, DQ’s, Dead Man Hang, Cherry Pickers, Freddies, LBC’s, Merkins and Pickle Pounders. Quick taste of Broga was mixed in to work out the groin area.

Short Mosey to the rear parking lot to begin 4 corners, lady of the evening. 10 Merkins, 20 WWII’s, 30 Squats, 40 Monkey Humpers using the entire parking lot.

Mosey to the steps for triple check. LBC’s, Balls to the Wall, Runner runs the middle loop.

Wosey to the side for 11’s. Donkey Kicks, bear crawl to the opposite side for Shoulder Taps (2 count), Lunge back.

BTTVF for 5 squats. Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayers.

Announcements: October is open for Breaking Bread. T-Claps to Bone Thugs and Fudd for stepping up this weekend. See Slack for all the other Happenings.

NMS: YHC had intentions on heading down to the plush fields this morning but staying dry was the much more pleasant option. Mumble chatter is always strong at FW especially with Ronnie’s return. Good to see 1-800 pop his FW cherry. Coffee was had by some afterwards, only 1 cup though.

Great works gents. Thank you for the always showing up and starting hump day right.

  • One more mile

6 runners left the boot campers behind for a warm up but looped back to share the track with them.

Warm up mile together around AmFam and the new development and to the track. 800 repeats x4 ,then one last mile because, why not?

Good conversation on the track. Thanks for letting me lead and putting up with my decision to run laps today.

Lunch Thursday at Rusty Taco, chime in if a better day of the week works for future SOJ lunches.

  • Come to this AO they said, it will be fun they said

With a life full of distractions and uncertainty YHC has not been taking the Q. It was good to be somewhat forced to think on my feet this morning. Thanks to Yeehaw and Mudslide for letting me take the Q and run with it.

  • Monkey Humpers for an audience

YHC had the Q for another version of the Bermuda Triangle. We started to mosey to the basketball court when we saw a car that looked like it was going to pull into the entrance. YHC called for the PAX to welcome them by doing some monkey humpers at the speed bump. Surprisingly, the vehicle decided to pull away after watching for a moment, so we moseyed over to the basketball court for the standard warmup with some side planks at the end.

YHC remembered doing some donkey kicks in last weeks Q, and decided to try a different variation.

    Donkey kicks

10 from left side plank position

    10 right side

    10 normal

Then walking lunges to basketball goal and back

    YHC hates lunges

    11s

    Lieutenant Dans down from 10

    Groiners up to 10

Mosey to the playground inside the track

Quick trial of partner assisted muscle ups (need to figure out a better way to do this) Mosey back to the parking lot

    Mankillers counting down from 10

OYO 50 DC Imperial walkers then

    50 DC toe taps

Mosey over to the football field

    21s

    Merkins counting down from 20

    Jump squats up from 1

I believe all PAX made it down to 8 merkins before YHC called the PAX back to the flag to stretch for about 2 minutes.

On a Tropical Storm Saturday, 4 Davillians wanted an early start than 7:30 and post at Atlee HS

This is how it went down

COP was various exercises while we waited for Corned Beef.

Corned Beef and YHC did a ruck/walk through Giles trying out some of the new trails for 45 mins getting in almost 3 minutes

Opus and Helix did a run/bootcamp starting for with Giles, then through Craney Island and the hill at Reardon’s Ridge with various exercises

A quick Numberrama, Namerama, Announcements, Opus took us out

Great 2nd F time at the Local Cup where by recommendation of Opus, YHC got a Flat White with Pumpkin Spice. I bet you know who was the one that got the grief on that.

    SPIT ON THAT!!
