    The perfect prime of 11 men gathered in the gloom on the 23rd of the 3rd month in the 23rd year of the current age. Here’s what transpired:

    COP on the corner of Grove and Westmoreland. Dead man hang / helicopters / DQs / Russian Soldiers / Imperial Walkers / APDs / LBCs / Plank Jacks / Froggers / Elbow Planks/ Pickle pounders/ SSHs

    10×10: At the picnic tables, 10 incline merkins, 10 dips, 10 boxjumps or step up, run to the sidewalk and back. That’s one round. Do 10 sets. Mosey to the Tree line.

    Treeline: Round 1- 5 Squats at each tree. / Round 2- 5 WW2s at each tree / Round 3 – 3 Burpees at each tree.

    NMS: That 10×10 took a lot longer than anticipated! 11 is a great prime number but not so great for parters or triple checks, so good to do group work together today. Thanks for letting me lead! SYITG

  • Hate a Snuff Q

    A lucky 7 Forgers converged onto the Forge to see what Snuff had planned for the back side of his 1 and 1 Q’s. No prior Forgecast led to a Snuffless start. No flare box emerged but conditions were ideal, Sunny and 70 so Hot Potato was called with YHC starting us off.

    Last Call Q: Short, slow mosey down the drive past the toxic waste to the turnaround at the end. Salutations and greetings commenced, followed by the following warm ups. Invisible Jump rope, DQ’s, Dead Man Hang, Heli’s and Jazzercise. Mosey out of the cul de sac for a quick light pole 11’s. 10 2-count shoulder taps followed by 1 2-count Peter Parkers. Mosey to the next light pole, 9 & 2…..finish up at Tennis Courts. Pass the lead …..

    Dealer Q: After a quick coupon check only to find 2 cabers onsite led to a quick change of plans. Bear crawl 1/2 up the ramp, 25 jerkins (brutal), Reverse Crabwalk remaining 1/2 up the ramp (looked brutal). Ticket Booth Triple Check. Timer runs the loop, another planks, another wall sits. Merkins were an optional add on if desired. Pass the lead…..

    Machismo Q: Mosey thru the open Ticket Booth Gate to the lush turf Forge Fields for a Beast Lite. Almost as refreshing as the full flavored Beast but 1/2 the calories. 3 rounds were completed involving Burpees, WWII’s and SSH’s. Mosey back with a quick snake tour of the bleachers. BTTVF for numbers, names, announcements. Chaplain took us out.

    NMS: The absence of the Forgecast last night gave thought there might be a wandering Q this morning. Plenty of good mumble chatter through out the day. Between shoulder taps, bear crawls and a Beast Lite, shoulders are burned. Good to have Showcase join us again before he heads home to Bristol, come back anytime or invite open for the PAX to venture to F3 Bristol for a lovely, flat AO. Hot Potatoe Q’s are always a welcome adventure, just brutal to lead a Beast with Burpees. Well done gents.

  • Helix rips the seam

    0600 found YHC starting a veeeery slow solo warmerama having stayed up too late last night. There was at least one HC, so nothing exciting happened until Mountain Oyster arrived a few minutes later. It rained hard last night and the misty sunrise was a beautiful rosy orange glow as we ran down the gravel road hill, and went a little further than usual to a playground in Jordan Valley. A few rounds of upper body reps completed – pullups, derkins, dips – then variable movements and sprint back to the top where the small soccer field is. Polesmokers and oblique LBC burnout, then mosey to the gym’s concrete stoop for dirty hookups, donkey kicks, and wall sits + hoedowns. 0615, mosey back to the start point, to find NoGrass and Mojang waiting. Welcome!!! Back down the hill to the playground, stopping for a x10 burpee “breather” halfway there. Upon completion, hold Al Gore, and when we dropped to Helix there was quite a loud rip as Mountain Oyster’s shorts inseam chose the perfect moment to permit his mountain oysters some breathing room. The beatdown almost ended there with the amount of laughter and mumble chatter than ensued, but YHC prevailed and we continued to the playground for a quadruple check. Pullups, derkins, dips, and the moving partner runs across to the far end for x3 burpees before retuning to switch. x4 round completed. Variable movement back to the top, some preferring to run in FRONT of Mtn Oyster so as to avoid the “view”. ? Then 5 minutes of Mary to go: pole-smokers, kimchi twists, LBC’s, and partnered up for dying-boxing cockroaches… 0645 hits, that’s TIME! COT: numbers, names, NoGrass took us out in prayer. Solid beatdown today – WAY harder with good company to spur the imagination. Still waiting for one of these warriors to take the Q, but all good things with time. Yours, DTH

    3.5 miles and some good ole fashion beach body sculpting along the way. Everyone arrives on time except the pax that said he would Q today. No worries. We are all vets at this now.. away we go to for the WTH version of 4 corners.
