  • Bo Don’t Know Where He’s Going

9 formed up in 2’s and 3’s to forge a path through the raging waters at the most recent edition of RAMM. Conditions were sunny and 70 with a slight drizzle below the cloud layer. According to the silent female runner on Grove, this is more or less what happened:

    All Runners

    Commonwealth to Berkshire.

    Left on Dover.

    Right on Portland.

Right on Douglasdale to the bottom of the hill.

(Do not get close to the quarry entrance, which is guarded closely).

    4 Milers

At bottom of Douglasdale, reverse direction. Run to top of Douglasdale.

Return to MM via Portland, left at Dover, right at Berkshire and straight onto Commonwealth.

    5 Milers

At bottom of Douglasdale, reverse direction. Turn left onto Loch Lomond and run to the end. Reverse and run the length of Loch Lomond, then reverse back to Douglasdale (this makes a cross in the neighborhood).

    Right on Douglasdale.

At the top of the hill, right on Rothesay and run the Rothesay loop.

Return to MM using Portland to Dover to Berkshire to Commonwealth.

    6 Milers

At bottom of Douglasdale, reverse direction. Turn left onto Loch Lomond and run to the end. Reverse and run the length of Loch Lomond, then reverse back to Douglasdale (this makes a cross in the neighborhood).

Right on Douglasdale to the top of the hill.

Reverse down the Douglasdale hill and repeat the above cross shape in the neighborhood.

On the second lap, turn right on Rothesay and run the Rothesay loop.

Return to MM using Portland to Dover to Berkshire to Commonwealth.

Number-am-a, Name-a-ram-a, YHC took us out with a message about enjoying the day and being an honorable person.

  • Solo at The Swamp

YHC fought off the fartsack to make amends for a missed Q from the week prior only to find a few regulars and runners had opted for vacation. According to the Doe and her fawn, here’s what transpired.

    COP

10 burpee buy in for the missed Q and mosey down to the track aka JRHS’s The Swamp.

    The Thang

Opting to remain dry following last night’s monsoon, the Q called for track intervals with a 4 corner mix.

    2 miles on the track.

first mile – light jog straight-a-ways, run curves (75% pace)

second mile – light job straight-a-ways, run curves, 15 merkins first corner, 15 monkey humpers, 15 plank jacks, 15 SSHs

mosey to the bball court at Bettie Weaver

front lunge the turkey tracks, side lunge the baselines

mosey back to the flag for a couple minutes of mary and some bro stretching.

This morning was YHC’s first encounter with a solo gloom. Between a light drizzle, thick blanket of humidity and headphones pumpin’ some good tunes, conditions were prime to leave it all on the field.

  • Stonefaced Anger

Three of the area’s finest runners, including a visitor, sat in their cars until the rain faded for today’s Currahee. The route was a simple 5 miler with some bro code mixed in. Old glory made an appearance today and it was passed amongst the three of us. One of Henrico’s finest acknowledged the stars and stripes with a flash of the lights while driving past. All in all, a great run with a small group of dedicated individuals. Thanks for making the effort so YHC didn’t have to carry that flag solo.

Handshake was clearly steaming when he got out of the car and realized he would likely be running solo. That energy fueled him today. Way to crush it.

Marv took us out in a way only Marv can do. Well said.

  • Trifecta

Three Warriors answered the bell for Satan’s Hill this morning. Others who did not attend must have been worried about the dry conditions or Rosco’s signing? According to the frogs here is what went down.

  • Better late than never

    Monday

    Warmed up, Worked out

  • What was the question again?

Seven steadfast stallions of F3RVA met up for a 2F at The Answer Brewpub Tuesday night to hang and chat with the QIC – our correspondent from a mile in the sky – Fuddski.

Good times we’re had by all. I hear they serve good beer. The wings were on point.

Good to have you around, Fudd. As always

  • Father Son and One

3 showed up for a morning run and see map below of our route:

We also added the BoJangles loop to go over 4 miles and this was a hot one.

Numberama, Namerama YHC took us out.

HAve a great day gents and I will SYITG….CB!

  • Everyone’s a Winner

7 studs from near and far kicked off their Summer Tour with an intense game of Ultimate Frisbee at the Forge.

YHC provided a little warm-up COP in time for Fresh Prince to arrive and make the teams uneven. The small soccer field and low numbers provided for a fast-paced game, where the team of three got their legs run off and the team of four typically made the touchdown.

We flip-flopped the extra man enough times to be generally confused who was actually on each team, and it was impossible to keep score.

The secret sauce in the end was a threesome of Labrat, Last Call, and Fresh Prince. It took a few tries, but once they realized Labrat could count on Fresh Prince’s lightning speed to the end zone, twas a winning recipe.
