  • Follow the footsteps

Four foolhardy fellows braved the snow and ice at Twin Team. 2 were there at the start while the other 2 found us in the COP:

COP: Don Qs, SSH, Imperial Walkers, Flutterkicks, Merkins, Heels2Heaven.

Partner up – Dora 123: 100 Merkins, 200 Dips, 300 LBCs. Mosey to side side of BW: 2 Rounds of 30 WWIIs and 40 Merkins in covered area. Over to the playground – 5 sets of 8 Pull-Ups and 15 Squats.

Move to side of school for Native American Donkey kicks – 3 PAX B2W while one does 10 Donkey Kicks and goes to end. 2 rounds through. Back to school entrance for Pickle Pounders. Boxing Cockroaches, Windshield wipers. Finish up with some snowball tosses – Hit the car and 10 Squats, miss and do 5 burpees. 2 rounds and we ended up with 25 burpees.

COT and YHC took us out. Prayers for Bleeder’s family, Swirly’s family, and PAX traveling.

NMS – YHC took the Q at TT since Doozy was solo last week. Boberry got some chatter going on Slack last night so YHC felt confident he would not be solo. At the start it was just Doozy and YHC but Boberry and Chaplain pulled in 2 minutes late due to the snow.

Snow was plenty slushy so we looked for covered spots most of the time. Nobody took a spill and the snowball tosses at the end were fun. Only one pax missed on the first round of snowball toss, he shall remain nameless.

  • Leader of the Pack

A glorious 10 and one K9 enjoyed a snow day blazing new tracks down the road. The Zig Zag route was called and off we went.

Hitch Hiker took us out as we celebrated a Happy Korean New Year.

    Moleskin

YHC had everything planned for this morning’s run. Clothes laid out. Dogs taken out and fed. However, one of the dogs did not want to return quietly to sleep.

Time for Plan B – bring him with me. Harness, leash, and the ever important doggie bags. Off we went.

The run was excellent this morning. Perfect conditions, great scenery, and with this crew there is an abundance of entertaining conversation.

Go forward and be your best!

  • Three for Currahee

After a quick roll call last night it appeared 5-6 would be posting for Currahee but in the end it was 3. YHC had planned to Fartsack due to a busy week and having to work this weekend, but after waking up at 0400 wide awake YHC thought otherwise. Pinto confirmed he was going to be there, but Lighthouse rolled in with 4 minutes to spare. When YHC commented amount not knowing he was coming since he didn’t respond Lighthouse said, “I didn’t know what to say, you guys talk too much” or something along those lines. Regardless The Figure Eight Loop up to Broad and back was completed. Not much mumble chatter other than “car back” while we hopped between semi dry roads, snow, and puddles. Good news is Pinto’s shoes are clean after Roger Rogers mud party on Wednesday.

    No announcements, no prayer requests.

  • Deuce Tomato Run

Spike and Corned Beef ran a 4.1 Mile route for the morning run. Weather was perfect for a nice run this morning. Great mumble chatter throughout the run and great route.

We call this a Giles loop and we start from Ruxton clubhouse with a reverse Bojangle’s loop run over tracks to Giles and loop around and return to Bojangle’s loop to Ruxton Clubhouse to wrap up the 4.1 mile run.

  • Beatdown Deck + Bricks + Beats

    NMS:

    • Today’s routine proved both simple and challenging – credit to the beatdown deck for delivering, as usual. Special thanks to Roger Roger making the trek down to SOJ. Cooper gave him a whole lotta love. And thanks to Bone Thugs providing some humorous mumble chatter in the absence of Hardywood’s usual effervescence. Thank you for letting me lead. YHC, DTH

Numberama, Namerama, YHC took us out.

NMS: When YHC saw a bunch of icy weather in the forecast, planning began for how to have a good cardio workout without running on the ice. Hence the ordering of a “bulk fancy jump rope pack.” It was brilliant fun to watch the various levels of jump roping abilities. Pucker and BT won the prize for best form, Handshake for best invisible jump rope, and Saab and TYA for… creativity. Clearly we need some practice.

    MOLESKIN

YHC received a text first thing this morning asking if the PAX should have lights.  UpChuck was very eager to show off his new headlamp.  Rumor has it a friend from Harvard business school created the world’s first headlamp specifically contoured for the heads of bald men.  It also doubles as a lighthouse beacon.  As the PAX at FW continues to grow, a new supply of blocks is needed.  Donations can be left at the northeast corner of First Watch headquarters.  Closest thing to OSOTW goes to UpChuck’s former coworker who has a tramp stamp in honor of her father.  As if that story was not entertaining enough, Bodos off-roading over the curb on his way out solidified First Watch as the most fun you can have at 0500.
