Two young FNGs joined a nine-man PAX of bootcampers and walkers in the warming gloom. Warmarama. Four-corners on the stone dust track. Partner wind sprints on the tennis courts. Just for fun, a penalty kick soccer shoot out with a very lopsided outcome. Ring of fire. FNG 1: Peter Grigg, age 12, dubbed “Nacho Libre” FNG 2: Jimmy Grigg, age 9, christened “Wolfgang”

Seven strong PAX for a beatdown and 4 walkers took off at 5:30 on their various routes. The bootcampers did: COP: Invisible Jumprope, Don Qs, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, Flutterkicks, Donkey Kicks. Mosey to Triple check spot for just that: Carolina Dry Docks, Donkey Kicks, run to fence & back. Then over to field for 11s on the soccer field. Exercises were: HRMs and WWIIs. Over to the tennis courts: Several rounds of sprints and exercises, then over to covered pavilion: sets of Pole Smokers, merkins, and Burpees. Back to flag for American Hammers to close us out. 9 eager beavers broke from the sack for bowl of hot Gumbo on a surprisingly brisk first morning of Spring. 3 others took to the mean city streets for some miles. Four bedraggled men, dealing with too much pollen and too little sleep, found their way to Mary for a 45 minute beatdown. Four other randos were sauntering around while we four commenced at 0530. Two tardy men arrived just seconds after the clock struck 05:30. The rest of the PAX was nowhere to be found, so we took to the school and neighboring streets in search for the HIMs! Cold, rain, miles, and misery: the perfect combination for a CSAUP to kick off 2025. Here is how it all went down: 20 Ruckers and a few straight through runners (Doozy and Big Rig) set worth, with the remaining 16 or so Pax joining Hitch for beatdown #1. YHC was hitting every red light as he made his way up Three Chopt and down monument on his way to meet his friends for a morning workout.
