    4 Bangers ready to Smash the competition at Pickleball nights #Batteau. Bodo’s “forgot” he was driving to North Carolina today, so he sent his 2nd Cousin the Southern Baptist to replace him on the courts.

    The Thang:
    Game1: Oyster/Hitchiker (W) vs Honeydo/Sesame (L)
    Game2: Hitchhiker/Honeydo (L) vs Sesame/Oyster (W)
    Game3: Honeydo/Oyster (W) vs Sesame/Hitchiker (L)
    Game4: Hitchhiker/Oyster (W) vs Honeydo/Sesame (L)
    Game5: Repeato – Hitchhiker/Oyster (W) vs Honeydo/Sesame (L)

    NMS: Monday nights Y’all 5pm at Batteau. We will be switching to mornings starting sometime in May. Stay tuned.

    2 very athletic, probably workout every day, very fast and limber professional players were on the courts. There were also two F3 brothers ready for Batteau, day light savings edition aka #Pickleball nights.

    Warmarama: Let’s dink. Whoa Whoa – not that kind. Short passes over the net, try to stay in the kitchen. Long shots, Short Shots, Cross Court, 3rd shot drop, Serves. Stretch it out!

    The Thang:
    Oyster: It’s time to throw the paddles in and dominate these courts.
    Honeydo: Are you sure?
    Oyster: Hardywood would say “Boots on Throats”. Let’s goooo!!
    Honeydo: How about those 2 over there.. Drinking Ovaltine and wearing knee braces.

    Game 1: Honeydo rushes the ball every damn time like a Friday night Hinge date. YHC notes it’s windy and proceeds to hit the ball out. Repeats that strategy. 11-9 L

    Game 2: Let’s get it together. Honeydo – Try Hullk Smash and see what happens. It was 0-6 and Honeydo went on a serving rampage.. 0-6 turned into 11-8 W. Let’s Goooo!!

    Game 3: Tie Breaker… it was 4-10 and we were falling apart. Words were exchanged. New strategy; lets hit it over the net but inside the court. 13-11 W.

    Let’s get out of here before we are kicked out for running our mouths…

    NMS: Pickleball Monday’s is a thang. 5:00pm – 7:ish… Great to have Honeydo out, he can smash that ball y’all….

    1 man accepted the 5:18am text thread — Hot Potato Challenge. Accepted!! Let’s go!!!!

    Warmarama: 1 lap around the block. 20x SSH, 5 Burpees, 20 Squats, 20 Imperial Walkers, 10 Helicopters, 10 Merkins, 5 Burpees.

    Oyster takes the potato.

    The Thang: 5 exercises x 10 reps + 1 lap. Repeat until Timer is done.

    Oyster never let the Hot Potato go. YHC lost count of how many rounds were complete. Very quiet, no mumble chatter this morning. Not too bad for a Monday.

    • Pickleball Tournament this Saturday. 6am Forest Hill Park.

    7 hommes were hoping for an early sunrise or at least a full moon. We got a very dark court instead. A longer warmup was needed anyway.

    Warmarama: 30 minutes of I can’t see the ball. Or the light from the lamp post was in my eye.

    La Chose: Almost 6am, do or die it’s go time. 1 Court of Doubles the other had 3. Bodo’s almost made it without sliding across the court. Official Pickleball rules were followed today. Upchuck took notes.

    Great to see Lab Rat today. He has played a game or two. Veep can put a spin on that ball. Welcome FNG Bumper. Pronounced Bump-Piere.

    Doubles anyone? 4 men of F3, blinded by the street lamps but ready for some dinks and bangers.

    Warmarama: Volley back and forth until light enough to play.

    The Thang: Non-F3 rules, play to 11, win by 2.
    Not sure about this bad return rule though…. Can you ace in Pickleball? No faults in Pickleball?

    NMS: Great having Nancy Lopez out this morning. Nancy picked up the game fast and had some great returns and volleys. Fudd was so excited about Pickleball he couldn’t sleep. The Bleeder streak continues.

    6 pickleball champions ready to get in some bangers and dinks.

    Welcome Tobit and Snuff. Tobit has a few years of tennis under his belt and picked up the game really quick, Rules… what rules. Snuff said he played once many years ago. We’re not buying it; he’s played a game or 2 recently. BoBerry with 2 brand new shiny paddles. Bleeder still owns the courts. Bodo’s left it all on the court, blood sweat and possibly a few tears.

    Pickleball Monday’s – Only 3 more Monday’s until the Tournament. Let’s Go!!!!

    3 pickleball enthusiasts made there way to Batteau this morning. 70 and Sunny as expected.

    The Thang: Various games were played. 1:1 , 2:1 and all games played to 5. If you were not playing you ran the courts doing various exercises.

    NUMBERAMA: NAMERAMA:
    YHC took us out.

    NMS: at 5:29am YHC was just getting ready to go on a solo run when out of the gloom two men from Daville emerged. YHC offered to switch it up and Q a bootcamp but that was quickly squashed as Daville came to play Pickleball. Cornbeef and Bullkhead are now representing Daville for the Tournament. Good work this morning.

    YHC has noticed that days are getting shorter and shorter. YHC greeted seven pickleballers including two new pickleballers. Moseyed to the pickleball court and ran around the court. COP as follows: Deadman hang x 10, helicopter x 10, imperial walkers x 10, SSH x 10. Played double and single.

    A couple of things to note:

      • Marv and Florence picked up pickleball really quickly.

      • Offshore put strong spin on his serve and return.

      • YHC and Oyster lost a game (14:16) against Offshore and Mcrib

    • Oyster and Fudd played pickleball more after the workput
    • Offshore challenged Bleeder with his strong left hand drive
    • Honeymoon and his daughter (Rep) beat YHC and Smee

    Numberama, Namerama, Announcements (summer tour, Bateau pickle ball, and F3RVA Pickle Ball Tournament). Honeymoon brought his daughter this morning and her F3 name is Rep. Welcome!

    Offshore took us out.

    14 strong picklers showed up early in the morning after the heavy rain overnight. Mosey to the pickle ball court. Ran around the the court and did the COP: Deadman hang x 10, helicopter x 10, imperial walkers x 10, SSH x 10. Played double and single.

    A couple of things to note:

    • Upchuck developed his new serve
    • DaVinci played really well
    • Correct me if I am wrong. Bleeder is still unbeatable
