    Cheers…CB

  • What is the Actual Definition of Third Base?

Six hombres of The Gloom circled up and rolled out for the latest edition of DaVille. Temperatures were 70 and sunny. According to the two ladies spying on our workout, the following might have happened:

NMS: Backblast title comes from a PAX member who, upon completing 2nd Base, commented to YHC, “What exactly is the definition of 3rd base? I mean, in high school, we had ideas of what we would call it, but none of us actually did anything.” Yep.

    Upchuck spits the bit.

  • Two wet to post

Two dudes posted at Atlee High School in the rain. Corned Beef took the lead.

    The Thang

After the COP, they moseyed back to the blacktop. At each corner, they did exercises. Corner 1 was 10 merkins. Corner 2 was 20 squats. Corner 3 was 30 LBCs. Corner 4 was SSH. They repeated this 4 times.

  • Cooler temps are coming

Five faithful started their Monday wondering which Westhoean would be taking the Q for TT week. We did:

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, LBCs.

Over to basketball courts: 15 HRMs at each hoop, with alternate bear crawl and lunges. 2nd round 15 Heels2heaven each hoop then alternate Bernie Sanders & side lunge. Throw in some pickle pounders and over to soccer field: 4 Corners: 10 burpees, 20 merkins, 30 Reverse crunch, 40 Jump squats. 2nd round increase by 10: Merkins, WWIIs, Monkey Humpers, & SSH.

Over to Tennis courts for a few rounds of sprints then back to the flag for 2 min of Mary.

NMS: Always good to make the trip up to Daville. Solid mix of PAX YHC hadn’t seen in some time including Trout, and newer guys like Beat It. On the fields there was ample breeze and it felt almost fall-like while we were on the 4 Corners.

Announcements: More Westhoe Takeovers this week. Set your alarm clock, especially if you are signed up to Q.

  • 2 climb at Daville

YHC arrived to an empty parking lot and initially thought that it was going to be a solo ride in the gloom this morning. However, Phonics came in hot and here is what went down.

We stay in parking lot to warm up with 15 SSH, 10 DQ, 10 Helicopters, 15 armcircles 10 small and 5big, reverso, 10 imperial walkers, 20 lbc’s and 10 4ct american hammers.

    THANG

We alternate with one partner running to the stop light ahead sign and back. Repeato and we have a great workout for this am as we mosey back to the flag.

Numberama, namerama, YHC took us out in prayer.

  • Did I get the wrong day?

Three gentlemen posted at Atlee High School for a bootcamp on this 70 something and partly sunny morning. The Q was unable to make it, so YHC took the lead and off we went.

    NMS

It was quite surprising posting on a Monday when Corned Beef was unable to make it but Yard Sale was there. Did I mix up the days. Was this the Ruck/Run Tuesday workout instead of Monday’s bootcamp.

It was great having Yard Sale and Trout there this morning. Thanks for following my lead. You both did outstanding.

Announcements – F3RVA 1/2 marathon/10K/5K coming up. See slack or possibly Speakeasy for more information.

Great to see Blue Moon again travelling to DaVille. Didn’t realize Blue Moon is a swimmer as well. Might run into you at a Master’s swim class in DaVille sometime soon.

First time YHC had made it to the DaVille bootcamp in quite a while. Felt great to be back. Luckily, Boo Boo gave YHC just enough time to lead everybody’s favorite: Plank-O-Rama. This is generally something people don’t forget and always hopes YHC brings it back. This works all parts of the core and hips. What’s not to love?

Hope to see more travelers soon.

  • Daville – 5 Stars

    Stardate 20241006: Captain’s Log,
On this day 1 SOJ, 1 Tuckahoe and 5 Davillians convened on the amicable planet of Daville. Despite this being an SOJ takeover, the local inhabitants were more than willing to cede control, demonstrating their renowned hospitality. Our languages, though remarkably similar, revealed a humorous disparity in counting skills among the locals (adjustments were made). It is our hope that this SOJ week will prove to be a mutually enlightening experience for all involved.

Warmarama: Slow mosey to the other quadrants and back to home base. Counting was challenging but we pushed through. SSH, Imperial Walkers, Copper Head Squats, Helicopters, LBC, Hello Dollys, Alabama Prom Dates.

The Thang: Storms approaching, mosey to the middle of the parking lot.
The Eye of the Storm: 5 Burpees

    Corner 4: SOJ and Tuckahoe = 40 SSH. Davillians = 10 SSH + 10 SSH + 10 SSH + 10 SSH

    Repeat:
    Corner 1: SOJ and Tuckahoe = 20 Merkins. Davillians = 10 Merkins + 10 Merkins.

    Corner 3: SOJ and Tuckahoe = 20 Squats. Davillians = 10 Squats + 10 Squats

Back to the Middle = 5 Burpees
Corner 2: SOJ and Tuckahoe = 20 Heals to Heaven. Davillians = 10 Heals to Heaven+ 10 Heals to Heaven
